Genesis 36

1 Esau's three wives. 6 His removing to mount Seir. 9 His sons. 15 The dukes which descended of his sons. 20 The sons and dukes of Seir. 24 Anah findeth mules. 31 The kings of Edom. 40 The dukes that descended of Esau.

 36:1 Now these 428 are [the records of] the generations 8435 of Esau 6215 (that is, Edom 112b).

 36:2 ¶ Esau 6215 took 3947 his wives 802 from the daughters 1323 of Canaan 3667a: Adah 5711 the daughter 1323 of Elon 356 the Hittite 2850, and Oholibamah 173 the daughter 1323 of Anah 6034 and the granddaughter 1323 of Zibeon 6649 the Hivite 2340;

 36:3 also Basemath 1315, Ishmael’s 3458 daughter 1323, the sister 269 of Nebaioth 5032.

 36:4 Adah 5711 bore 3205 Eliphaz 464 to Esau 6215, and Basemath 1315 bore 3205 Reuel 7467,

 36:5 and Oholibamah 173 bore 3205 Jeush 3266 and Jalam 3281 and Korah 7141. These 428 are the sons 1121 of Esau 6215 who 834 were born 3205 to him in the land 776 of Canaan 3667a.

 36:6 ¶ Then Esau 6215 took 3947 his wives 802 and his sons 1121 and his daughters 1323 and all 3605 his household 1004, and his livestock 4735 and all 3605 his cattle 929 and all 3605 his goods 7075 which 834 he had acquired 7408 in the land 776 of Canaan 3667a, and went 1980 to [another] land 776 away from his brother 251 Jacob 3290.

 36:7 For their property 7399 had become 1961 too 4480 great 7227a for them to live 3427 together 3164a, and the land 776 where 4033 they sojourned 4033 could 3201 not sustain 5375 them because 4480 6440 of their livestock 4735.

 36:8 So Esau 6215 lived 3427 in the hill 2022 country 2022 of Seir 8165; Esau 6215 is Edom 112b.

 36:9 ¶ These 428 then are [the records of] the generations 8435 of Esau 6215 the father 1 of the Edomites 112b in the hill 2022 country 2022 of Seir 8165.

 36:10 These 428 are the names 8034 of Esau’s 6215 sons 1121: Eliphaz 464 the son 1121 of Esau’s 6215 wife 802 Adah 5711, Reuel 7467 the son 1121 of Esau’s 6215 wife 802 Basemath 1315.

 36:11 The sons 1121 of Eliphaz 464 were Teman 8487, Omar 201, Zepho 6825 and Gatam 1609 and Kenaz 7073.

 36:12 Timna 8555 was a concubine 6370 of Esau’s 6215 son 1121 Eliphaz 464 and she bore 3205 Amalek 6002 to Eliphaz 464. These 428 are the sons 1121 of Esau’s 6215 wife 802 Adah 5711.

 36:13 These 428 are the sons 1121 of Reuel 7467: Nahath 5184 and Zerah 2226, Shammah 8048 and Mizzah 4199. These 428 were the sons 1121 of Esau’s 6215 wife 802 Basemath 1315.

 36:14 These 428 were the sons 1121 of Esau’s 6215 wife 802 Oholibamah 173, the daughter 1323 of Anah 6034 and the granddaughter 1323 of Zibeon 6649: she bore 3205 to Esau 6215, Jeush 3266 and Jalam 3281 and Korah 7141.

 36:17 These 428 are the sons 1121 of Reuel 7467, Esau’s 6215 son 1121: chief 441b Nahath 5184, chief 441b Zerah 2226, chief 441b Shammah 8048, chief 441b Mizzah 4199. These 428 are the chiefs 441b descended from Reuel 7467 in the land 776 of Edom 112b; these 428 are the sons 1121 of Esau’s 6215 wife 802 Basemath 1315.

 36:18 These 428 are the sons 1121 of Esau’s 6215 wife 802 Oholibamah 173: chief 441b Jeush 3266, chief 441b Jalam 3281, chief 441b Korah 7141. These 428 are the chiefs 441b descended from Esau’s 6215 wife 802 Oholibamah 173, the daughter 1323 of Anah 6034.

 36:19 These 428 are the sons 1121 of Esau 6215 (that is, Edom 112b), and these 428 are their chiefs 441b.

 36:20 ¶ These 428 are the sons 1121 of Seir 8165 the Horite 2752, the inhabitants 3427 of the land 776: Lotan 3877 and Shobal 7732 and Zibeon 6649 and Anah 6034,

 36:21 and Dishon 1787 and Ezer 687 and Dishan 1789. These 428 are the chiefs 441b descended from the Horites 2752, the sons 1121 of Seir 8165 in the land 776 of Edom 112b.

 36:37 Then Samlah 8072 died 4191, and Shaul 7586 of Rehoboth 7344 on the [Euphrates] River 5104 became 4427a king 4427a in his place 8478.

 36:38 Then Shaul 7586 died 4191, and Baal-hanan 1177 the son 1121 of Achbor 5907 became 4427a king 4427a in his place 8478.

 36:39 Then Baal-hanan 1177 the son 1121 of Achbor 5907 died 4191, and Hadar 1924 became 4427a king 4427a in his place 8478; and the name 8034 of his city 5892b was Pau 6464; and his wife’s 802 name 8034 was Mehetabel 4105, the daughter 1323 of Matred 4308, daughter 1323 of Mezahab 4314.

 36:40 ¶ Now these 428 are the names 8034 of the chiefs 441b descended from Esau 6215, according to their families 4940 [and] their localities 4725, by their names 8034: chief 441b Timna 8555, chief 441b Alvah 5933, chief 441b Jetheth 3509,

 36:41 chief 441b Oholibamah 173, chief 441b Elah 425, chief 441b Pinon 6373,
