 13:1 waYiûäatz Däwiyd im-särëy häáläfiym w'haMëôt l'khäl-nägiyd

 13:1 ¶ And Däwiđ דָּוִד 1732 consulted 3289 z8735 with x5973 the captains 8269 of thousands 505 and hundreds, 3967 [and] with every x3605 leader. 5057

וַיֹּאמֶר דָּוִיד לְכֹל קְהַל יִשְׂרָאֵל אִם־עֲלֵיכֶם טוֹב וּמִן־יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵינוּ נִפְרְצָה נִשְׁלְחָה עַל־אַחֵינוּ הַנִּשְׁאָרִים בְּכֹל אַרְצוֹת יִשְׂרָאֵל וְעִמָּהֶם הַכֹּהֲנִים וְהַלְוִיִּם בְּעָרֵי מִגְרְשֵׁיהֶם וְיִקָּבְצוּ אֵלֵינוּ

 13:2 waYomer Däwiyd l'khol q'hal yis'räël im-álëykhem ţôv ûmin-y'hwäh élohëynû nif'r'tzäh nish'l'chäh al-achëynû haNish'äriym B'khol ar'tzôt yis'räël w'iMähem haKohániym w'hal'wiYim B'ärëy mig'r'shëyhem w'yiQäv'tzû ëlëynû

 13:2 And Däwiđ דָּוִד 1732 said 559 z8799 unto all x3605 the congregation 6951 of Yiŝrä´ël יִשׂרָאֵל, 3478 If x518 [it seem] good 2895 z8804 unto x5921 you, and [that it be] of x4480 Yähwè יָהוֶה 3068 our ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִים, 430 let us send 7971 z8799 abroad 6555 z8799 unto x5921 our brethren 251 every where, [that are] left 7604 z8737 in all x3605 the land 776 of Yiŝrä´ël יִשׂרָאֵל, 3478 and with x5973 them [also] to the priests 3548 and Læwiyyim לְוִיִּם 3881 [which are] in their cities 5892 [and] suburbs, 4054 that they may gather y6908 z8735 themselves x6908 unto x413 us:

וְנָסֵבָּה אֶת־אֲרוֹן אֱלֹהֵינוּ אֵלֵינוּ כִּי־לֹא דְרַשְׁנֻהוּ בִּימֵי שָׁאוּל

 13:3 w'näšëBäh et-árôn élohëynû ëlëynû Kiy-lo d'rash'nuhû Biymëy shäûl

 13:3 And let us bring again 5437 z8686 x853 the ark 727 of our ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִים 430 to x413 us: for x3588 we enquired 1875 z8804 not x3808 at it in the days 3117 of Šä´ûl שָׁאוּל. 7586

וַיֹּאמְרוּ כָל־הַקָּהָל לַעֲשׂוֹת כֵּן כִּי־יָשַׁר הַדָּבָר בְּעֵינֵי כָל־הָעָם

 13:4 waYom'rû khäl-haQähäl laásôt Kën Kiy-yäshar haDävär B'ëynëy khäl-hääm

וַיַּקְהֵל דָּוִיד אֶת־כָּל־יִשְׂרָאֵל מִן־שִׁיחוֹר מִצְרַיִם וְעַד־לְבוֹא חֲמָת לְהָבִיא אֶת־אֲרוֹן הָאֱלֹהִים מִקִּרְיַת יְעָרִים

 13:5 So Däwiđ דָּוִד 1732 gathered 6950 z0 x853 all x3605 Yiŝrä´ël יִשׂרָאֵל 3478 together, y6950 z8686 from x4480 Šîçôr שִׁיחוֹר 7883 of Mixrayim מִצרַיִם 4714 even unto x5704 the entering 935 z8800 of Çámäŧ חֲמָת, 2574 to bring 935 z8687 x853 the ark 727 of ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִים 430 from Kiryaŧ Yæ`ärîm קִריַת־יְעָרִים. 7157 x4480

וַיַּעַל דָּוִיד וְכָל־יִשְׂרָאֵל בַּעֲלָתָה אֶל־קִרְיַת יְעָרִים אֲשֶׁר לִיהוּדָה לְהַעֲלוֹת מִשָּׁם אֵת אֲרוֹן הָאֱלֹהִים יְהוָה יוֹשֵׁב הַכְּרוּבִים אֲשֶׁר־נִקְרָא שֵׁם

 13:6 waYaal Däwiyd w'khäl-yis'räël Baálätäh el-qir'yat y'äriym ásher liyhûdäh l'haálôt miSHäm ët árôn häélohiym y'hwäh yôshëv haK'rûviym ásher-niq'rä shëm

 13:6 And Däwiđ דָּוִד 1732 went up, 5927 z8799 and all x3605 Yiŝrä´ël יִשׂרָאֵל, 3478 to Ba`álà בַּעֲלָה, 1173 [that is], to x413 Kiryaŧ Yæ`ärîm קִריַת־יְעָרִים, 7157 which x834 [belonged] to Yæhûđà יְהוּדָה, 3063 to bring up 5927 z8687 thence x4480 x8033 x853 the ark 727 of ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִים 430 Yähwè יָהוֶה, 3068 that dwelleth 3427 z8802 [between] the cherubims, 3742 whose x834 name 8034 is called 7121 z8738 [on it].

וַיַּרְכִּיבוּ אֶת־אֲרוֹן הָאֱלֹהִים עַל־עֲגָלָה חֲדָשָׁה מִבֵּית אֲבִינָדָב וְעֻזָּא וְאַחְיוֹ נֹהֲגִים בָּעֲגָלָה

 13:7 waYar'Kiyvû et-árôn häélohiym al-ágäläh chádäshäh miBëyt áviynädäv w'uZä w'ach'yô nohágiym Bäágäläh

 13:7 And they carried 7392 z8686 x853 the ark 727 of ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִים 430 in x5921 a new 2319 cart 5699 out of the house 1004 x4480 of ´Ávînäđäv אֲבִינָדָב: 41 and `Uzzä´ עֻזָּא 5798 and ´Açyô אַחיוֹ 283 drave 5090 z8802 the cart. 5699

וְדָוִיד וְכָל־יִשְׂרָאֵל מְשַׂחֲקִים לִפְנֵי הָאֱלֹהִים בְּכָל־עֹז וּבְשִׁירִים וּבְכִנֹּרוֹת וּבִנְבָלִים וּבְתֻפִּים וּבִמְצִלְתַּיִם וּבַחֲצֹצְרוֹת

 13:8 w'däwiyd w'khäl-yis'räël m'sacháqiym lif'nëy häélohiym B'khäl-oz ûv'shiyriym ûv'khiNorôt ûvin'väliym ûv'tuPiym ûvim'tzil'Tayim ûvachátzotz'rôt

 13:8 And Däwiđ דָּוִד 1732 and all x3605 Yiŝrä´ël יִשׂרָאֵל 3478 played 7832 z8764 before 6440 ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִים 430 with all x3605 [their] might, 5797 and with singing, 7892 and with harps, 3658 and with psalteries, 5035 and with timbrels, 8596 and with cymbals, 4700 and with trumpets. 2689

וַיָּבֹאוּ עַד־גֹּרֶן כִּידֹן וַיִּשְׁלַח עֻזָּא אֶת־יָדוֹ לֶאֱחֹז אֶת־הָאָרוֹן כִּי שָׁמְטוּ הַבָּקָר

 13:9 ¶ And when they came 935 z8799 unto x5704 the threshingfloor 1637 of Cîđön כִּידֹן, 3592 `Uzzä´ עֻזָּא 5798 put forth 7971 z8799 x853 his hand 3027 to hold 270 z8800 x853 the ark; 727 for x3588 the oxen 1241 stumbled. 8058 z8804

וַיִּחַר־אַף יְהוָה בְּעֻזָּא וַיַּכֵּהוּ עַל אֲשֶׁר־שָׁלַח יָדוֹ עַל־הָאָרוֹן וַיָּמָת שָׁם לִפְנֵי אֱלֹהִים

 13:10 waYichar-af y'hwäh B'uZä waYaKëhû al ásher-shälach yädô al-häärôn waYämät shäm lif'nëy élohiym

 13:10 And the anger 639 of Yähwè יָהוֶה 3068 was kindled 2734 z8799 against `Uzzä´ עֻזָּא, 5798 and he smote 5221 z8686 x5921 him, because x5921 x834 he put 7971 z8804 his hand 3027 to x5921 the ark: 727 and there x8033 he died 4191 z8799 before 6440 ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִים. 430

וַיִּחַר לְדָוִיד כִּי־פָרַץ יְהוָה פֶּרֶץ בְּעֻזָּא וַיִּקְרָא לַמָּקוֹם הַהוּא פֶּרֶץ עֻזָּא עַד הַיּוֹם הַזֶּה

 13:11 waYichar l'däwiyd Kiy-färatz y'hwäh Peretz B'uZä waYiq'rä laMäqôm hahû Peretz uZä ad haYôm haZeh

 13:11 And Däwiđ דָּוִד 1732 was displeased, 2734 z8799 because x3588 Yähwè יָהוֶה 3068 had made 6555 z8804 a breach 6556 upon `Uzzä´ עֻזָּא: 5798 wherefore that x1931 place 4725 is called 7121 z8799 Perex `Uzzä´ פֶּרֶץ־עֻזָּא 6560 to x5704 this x2088 day. 3117

וַיִּירָא דָוִיד אֶת־הָאֱלֹהִים בַּיּוֹם הַהוּא לֵאמֹר הֵיךְ אָבִיא אֵלַי אֵת אֲרוֹן הָאֱלֹהִים

 13:12 And Däwiđ דָּוִד 1732 was afraid 3372 z8799 x853 of ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִים 430 that x1931 day, 3117 saying, 559 z8800 How 1963 shall I bring 935 z8686 x853 the ark 727 of ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִים 430 [home] to x413 me?

וְלֹא־הֵסִיר דָּוִיד אֶת־הָאָרוֹן אֵלָיו אֶל־עִיר דָּוִיד וַיַּטֵּהוּ אֶל־בֵּית עֹבֵד־אֱדֹם הַגִּתִּי

 13:13 w'lo-hëšiyr Däwiyd et-häärôn ëläyw el-iyr Däwiyd waYaŢëhû el-Bëyt ovëd-édom haGiTiy

 13:13 So Däwiđ דָּוִד 1732 brought 5493 z8689 not x3808 x853 the ark 727 [home] to x413 himself to x413 the city 5892 of Däwiđ דָּוִד, 1732 but carried it aside 5186 z8686 into x413 the house 1004 of `Övëđ ´Éđôm עֹבֵד־אֱדוֹם 5654 the Gittî גִּתִּי. 1663

וַיֵּשֶׁב אֲרוֹן הָאֱלֹהִים עִם־בֵּית עֹבֵד אֱדֹם בְּבֵיתוֹ שְׁלֹשָׁה חֳדָשִׁים וַיְבָרֶךְ יְהוָה אֶת־בֵּית עֹבֵד־אֱדֹם וְאֶת־כָּל־אֲשֶׁר־לוֹ פ

 13:14 waYëshev árôn häélohiym im-Bëyt ovëd édom B'vëytô sh'loshäh chódäshiym way'värekh' y'hwäh et-Bëyt ovëd-édom w'et-Käl-ásher-lô f

 13:14 And the ark 727 of ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִים 430 remained 3427 z8799 with x5973 the family 1004 of `Övëđ ´Éđôm עֹבֵד־אֱדוֹם 5654 in his house 1004 three 7969 months. 2320 And Yähwè יָהוֶה 3068 blessed 1288 z8762 x853 the house 1004 of `Övëđ ´Éđôm עֹבֵד־אֱדוֹם, 5654 and all x3605 that x834 he had.
