Ezekiel 39

1 God's judgment upon Gog. 8 Israel's victory. 11 Gog's burial in Hamon-gog. 17 The feast of the fowls. 23 Israel, having been plagued for their sins, shall be gathered again with eternal favour.

 39:1 “And you, son 1121 of man 120, prophesy 5012 against 5921 Gog 1463 and say 559, ‘Thus 3541 says 559 the Lord 136 GOD 3068, “Behold 2009, I am against 413 you, O Gog 1463, prince 5387a of Rosh 7220b, Meshech 4902 and Tubal 8422;

 39:2 and I will turn 7725 you around 7725, drive 8338 you on, take 5927 you up from the remotest 3411 parts 3411 of the north 6828 and bring 935 you against 5921 the mountains 2022 of Israel 3478.

 39:3 “I will strike 5221 your bow 7198 from your left 8040 hand 3027 and dash 5307 down 5307 your arrows 2671 from your right 3225 hand 3027.

 39:4 “You will fall 5307 on the mountains 2022 of Israel 3478, you and all 3605 your troops 102 and the peoples 5971a who 834 are with you; I will give 5414 you as food 402 to every 3605 kind 3671 of predatory 5861 bird 6833 and beast 2421b of the field 7704.

 39:5 “You will fall 5307 on the open 6440 field 7704; for it is I who have spoken 1696,” declares 5002 the Lord 136 GOD 3068.

 39:6 “And I will send 7971 fire 784 upon Magog 4031 and those who inhabit 3427 the coastlands 339 in safety 983; and they will know 3045 that I am the LORD 3068.

 39:7 ¶ “My holy 6944 name 8034 I will make 3045 known 3045 in the midst 8432 of My people 5971a Israel 3478; and I will not let My holy 6944 name 8034 be profaned 2490c anymore 5750. And the nations 1471 will know 3045 that I am the LORD 3068, the Holy 6918 One 6918 in Israel 3478.

 39:8 “Behold 2009, it is coming 935 and it shall be done 1961,” declares 5002 the Lord 136 GOD 3068. “That is the day 3117 of which 834 I have spoken 1696.

 39:9 ¶ “Then those who inhabit 3427 the cities 5892b of Israel 3478 will go 3318 out and make 1197a fires 1197a with the weapons 5402 and burn 8026b [them], both shields 4043 and bucklers 6793c, bows 7198 and arrows 2671, war 4731 clubs 4731 and spears 7420, and for seven 7651 years 8141 they will make 1197a fires 784 of them.

 39:10 “They will not take 5375 wood 6086 from the field 7704 or gather 2404 firewood 2404 from the forests 3293a, for they will make 1197a fires 784 with the weapons 5402; and they will take 7997b the spoil 7997b of those who despoiled 7997b them and seize 962 the plunder 962 of those who plundered 962 them,” declares 5002 the Lord 136 GOD 3068.

 39:11 ¶ “On that day 3117 I will give 5414 Gog 1463 a burial 6913 ground 4725 there 8033 in Israel 3478, the valley 1516 of those who pass 5674a by east 6926 of the sea 3220, and it will block 2629 off 2629 those who would pass 5674a by. So they will bury 6912 Gog 1463 there 8033 with all 3605 his horde 1995, and they will call 7121 [it] the valley 1516 of Hamon-gog 1996.

 39:12 “For seven 7651 months 2320 the house 1004 of Israel 3478 will be burying 6912 them in order 4616 to cleanse 2891 the land 776.

 39:13 “Even all 3605 the people 5971a of the land 776 will bury 6912 [them]; and it will be to their renown 8034 [on] the day 3117 that I glorify 3513 Myself,” declares 5002 the Lord 136 GOD 3068.

 39:14 “They will set 914 apart 914 men 376 who will constantly 8548 pass 5674a through the land 776, burying 6912 those who were passing 5674a through 5674a, even 853 those left 3498 on the surface 6440 of the ground 776, in order to cleanse 2891 it. At the end 7097a of seven 7651 months 2320 they will make 2713 a search 2713.

 39:15 “As those who pass 5674a through the land 776 pass 5674a through 5674a and anyone sees 7200 a man’s 120 bone 6106, then he will set 1129 up a marker 6725 by it until 5704 the buriers 6912 have buried 6912 it in the valley 1516 of Hamon-gog 1996.

 39:16 “And even 1571 [the] name 8034 of [the] city 5892b will be Hamonah 1997. So they will cleanse 2891 the land 776.”’

 39:17 ¶ “As for you, son 1121 of man 120, thus 3541 says 559 the Lord 136 GOD 3068, ‘Speak 559 to every 3605 kind 3671 of bird 6833 and to every 3605 beast 2421b of the field 7704, “Assemble 6908 and come 935, gather 622 from every 5439 side 5439 to My sacrifice 2077 which 834 I am going to sacrifice 2076 for you, as a great 1419 sacrifice 2077 on the mountains 2022 of Israel 3478, that you may eat 398 flesh 1320 and drink 8354 blood 1818.

 39:18 “You will eat 398 the flesh 1320 of mighty 1368 men 1368 and drink 8354 the blood 1818 of the princes 5387a of the earth 776, as [though they were] rams 352a, lambs 3733c, goats 6260 and bulls 6499, all 3605 of them fatlings 4806 of Bashan 1316.

 39:19 “So you will eat 398 fat 2459 until you are glutted 7654, and drink 8354 blood 1818 until you are drunk 7943, from My sacrifice 2077 which 834 I have sacrificed 2076 for you.

 39:20 “You will be glutted 7646 at My table 7979 with horses 5483b and charioteers 7393, with mighty 1368 men 1368 and all 3605 the men 376 of war 4421,” declares 5002 the Lord 136 GOD 3068.

 39:21 ¶ “And I will set 5414 My glory 3519b among the nations 1471; and all 3605 the nations 1471 will see 7200 My judgment 4941 which 834 I have executed 6213a and My hand 3027 which 834 I have laid 7760 on them.

 39:22 “And the house 1004 of Israel 3478 will know 3045 that I am the LORD 3068 their God 430 from that day 3117 onward 1973.

 39:23 “The nations 1471 will know 3045 that the house 1004 of Israel 3478 went 1540 into exile 1540 for their iniquity 5771 because 5921 834 they acted 4603 treacherously 4603 against Me, and I hid 5641 My face 6440 from them; so I gave 5414 them into the hand 3027 of their adversaries 6862c, and all 3605 of them fell 5307 by the sword 2719.

 39:24 “According to their uncleanness 2932a and according to their transgressions 6588 I dealt 6213a with them, and I hid 5641 My face 6440 from them.”’”

 39:25 ¶ Therefore 3651 thus 3541 says 559 the Lord 136 GOD 3068, “Now 6258 I will restore 7725 the fortunes 7622 of Jacob 3290 and have 7355 mercy 7355 on the whole 3605 house 1004 of Israel 3478; and I will be jealous 7065 for My holy 6944 name 8034.

 39:26 “They will forget 5375 their disgrace 3639 and all 3605 their treachery 4604 which 834 they perpetrated 4603 against Me, when they live 3427 securely 983 on their [own] land 127 with no 369 one 369 to make 2729 [them] afraid 2729.

 39:27 “When I bring 7725 them back 7725 from the peoples 5971a and gather 6908 them from the lands 776 of their enemies 340, then I shall be sanctified 6942 through them in the sight 5869 of the many 7227a nations 1471.

 39:28 “Then they will know 3045 that I am the LORD 3068 their God 430 because I made them go 1540 into exile 1540 among 413 the nations 1471, and then gathered 3664 them [again] to their own land 127; and I will leave 3498 none 3808 of them there 8033 any 5750 longer 5750.

 39:29 “I will not hide 5641 My face 6440 from them any 5750 longer 5750, for I will have poured 8210 out My Spirit 7307 on the house 1004 of Israel 3478,” declares 5002 the Lord 136 GOD 3068.
