Ezekiel 5

1 Under the type of hair, 5 is shewed the judgment of Jerusalem for their rebellion, 12 by famine, sword, and dispersion.

 5:1 “As for you, son 1121 of man 120, take 3947 a sharp 2299 sword 2719; take 3947 and use 5674a it [as] a barber’s 1532 razor 8593 on your head 7218 and beard 2206. Then take 3947 scales 3976 for weighing 4948 and divide 2505a the hair.

 5:2 “One 7992 third 7992 you shall burn 1197a in the fire 217 at the center 8432 of the city 5892b, when the days 3117 of the siege 4692 are completed 4390. Then you shall take 3947 one 7992 third 7992 and strike 5221 [it] with the sword 2719 all 5439 around 5439 the city, and one 7992 third 7992 you shall scatter 2219 to the wind 7307; and I will unsheathe 7385a a sword 2719 behind 310 them.

 5:3 “Take 3947 also a few 4592 in number 4557 from them and bind 6696a them in the edges 3671 of your [robes].

 5:4 “Take 3947 again 5750 some 4480 of them and throw 7993 them into the fire 784 and burn 8313 them in the fire 784; from it a fire 784 will spread 3318 to all 3605 the house 1004 of Israel 3478.

 5:5 ¶ “Thus 3541 says 559 the Lord 136 GOD 3068, ‘This 384 is Jerusalem 3389; I have set 7760 her at the center 8432 of the nations 1471, with lands 776 around 5439 her.

 5:6 ‘But she has rebelled 4784 against 854 My ordinances 4941 more 4480 wickedly 7564 than 4480 the nations 1471 and against 854 My statutes 2708 more 4480 than 4480 the lands 776 which 834 surround 5439 her; for they have rejected 3988a My ordinances 4941 and have not walked 1980 in My statutes 2708.’

 5:7 “Therefore 3651, thus 3541 says 559 the Lord 136 GOD 3068, ‘Because 3282 you have more 4480 turmoil 2001a than 4480 the nations 1471 which 834 surround 5439 you [and] have not walked 1980 in My statutes 2708, nor 3808 observed 6213a My ordinances 4941, nor 3808 observed 6213a the ordinances 4941 of the nations 1471 which 834 surround 5439 you,’

 5:8 therefore 3651, thus 3541 says 559 the Lord 136 GOD 3068, ‘Behold 2009, I, even 1571 I, am against 5921 you, and I will execute 6213a judgments 4941 among 8432 you in the sight 5869 of the nations 1471.

 5:9 ‘And because 3282 of all 3605 your abominations 8441, I will do 6213a among you what 834 I have not done 6213a, and the like 3644 of which 834 I will never 3808 do 6213a again 5750.

 5:10 ‘Therefore 3651, fathers 1 will eat 398 [their] sons 1121 among 8432 you, and sons 1121 will eat 398 their fathers 1; for I will execute 6213a judgments 8201 on you and scatter 2219 all 3605 your remnant 7611 to every 3605 wind 7307.

 5:11 ‘So 3651 as I live 2416a,’ declares 5002 the Lord 136 GOD 3068, ‘surely 518 3808, because 3282 you have defiled 2930 My sanctuary 4720 with all 3605 your detestable 8251 idols 8251 and with all 3605 your abominations 8441, therefore I will also 1571 withdraw 1639, and My eye 5869 will have 2347 no 3808 pity 2347 and I will not spare 2550.

 5:12 ‘One 7992 third 7992 of you will die 4191 by plague 1698 or be consumed 3615 by famine 7458 among 8432 you, one 7992 third 7992 will fall 5307 by the sword 2719 around 5439 you, and one 7992 third 7992 I will scatter 2219 to every 3605 wind 7307, and I will unsheathe 7385a a sword 2719 behind 310 them.

 5:13 ¶ ‘Thus My anger 639 will be spent 3615 and I will satisfy 5117 My wrath 2534 on them, and I will be appeased 5162; then they will know 3045 that I, the LORD 3068, have spoken 1696 in My zeal 7068 when I have spent 3615 My wrath 2534 upon them.

 5:14 ‘Moreover, I will make 5414 you a desolation 2723 and a reproach 2781 among the nations 1471 which 834 surround 5439 you, in the sight 5869 of all 3605 who pass 5674a by.

 5:15 ‘So it will be a reproach 2781, a reviling 1422, a warning 4148 and an object 4923 of horror 4923 to the nations 1471 who 834 surround 5439 you when I execute 6213a judgments 8201 against you in anger 639, wrath 2534 and raging 2534 rebukes 8433b. I, the LORD 3068, have spoken 1696.

 5:16 ‘When I send 7971 against them the deadly 7451a arrows 2671 of famine 7458 which 834 were for the destruction 7843 of those whom 834 I will send 7971 to destroy 7843 you, then I will also intensify 3254 the famine 7458 upon you and break 7665 the staff 4294 of bread 3899.

 5:17 ‘Moreover, I will send 7971 on you famine 7458 and wild 7451a beasts 2421b, and they will bereave 7921 you of children 7921; plague 1698 and bloodshed 1818 also will pass 5674a through you, and I will bring 935 the sword 2719 on you. I, the LORD 3068, have spoken 1696.’”
