Ezekiel 13

1 The reproof of lying prophets, 10 and their untempered morter. 17 Of prophetesses and their pillows.

 13:1 Then the word 1697 of the LORD 3068 came 1961 to me saying 559,

 13:2 “Son 1121 of man 120, prophesy 5012 against 413 the prophets 5030 of Israel 3478 who prophesy 5012, and say 559 to those who prophesy 5030 from their own inspiration 3820, ‘Listen 8085 to the word 1697 of the LORD 3068!

 13:3 ‘Thus 3541 says 559 the Lord 136 GOD 3068, “Woe 1945 to the foolish 5036 prophets 5030 who 834 are following 1980 310 their own spirit 7307 and have seen 7200 nothing 1115.

 13:4 “O Israel 3478, your prophets 5030 have been 1961 like foxes 7776 among ruins 2723.

 13:5 “You have not gone 5927 up into the breaches 6556, nor 3808 did you build 1443 the wall 1443 around 5921 the house 1004 of Israel 3478 to stand 5975 in the battle 4421 on the day 3117 of the LORD 3068.

 13:6 “They see 2372 falsehood 7723 and lying 3577 divination 7081 who are saying 559, ‘The LORD 3068 declares 5002,’ when the LORD 3068 has not sent 7971 them; yet they hope 3176 for the fulfillment 6965 of [their] word 1697.

 13:7 “Did you not see 7200 a false 7723 vision 4236 and speak 559 a lying 3577 divination 4738 when you said 559, ‘The LORD 3068 declares 5002,’ but it is not I who have spoken 1696?”’”

 13:8 ¶ Therefore 3651, thus 3541 says 559 the Lord 136 GOD 3068, “Because 3282 you have spoken 1696 falsehood 7723 and seen 2372 a lie 3577, therefore 3651 behold 2009, I am against 413 you,” declares 5002 the Lord 136 GOD 3068.

 13:9 “So My hand 3027 will be against 413 the prophets 5030 who see 7200 false 7723 visions 7723 and utter 7080 lying 3577 divinations 7080. They will have 1961 no 3808 place 1961 in the council 5475 of My people 5971a, nor 3808 will they be written 3789 down 3789 in the register 3791 of the house 1004 of Israel 3478, nor 3808 will they enter 935 the land 127 of Israel 3478, that you may know 3045 that I am the Lord 136 GOD 3068.

 13:10 “It is definitely 3282 because 3282 they have misled 2937 My people 5971a by saying 559, ‘Peace 7965!’ when there 369 is no 369 peace 7965. And when anyone 1931 builds 1129 a wall 2434, behold 2009, they plaster 2902 it over 2902 with whitewash 8602b;

 13:11 [so] tell 559 those who plaster 2902 [it] over 2902 with whitewash 8602b, that it will fall 5307. A flooding 7857 rain 1653 will come 1961, and you, O hailstones 1259 68, will fall 5307; and a violent 5591b wind 7307 will break 1234 out.

 13:12 “Behold 2009, when the wall 7023 has fallen 5307, will you not be asked 559, ‘Where 346 is the plaster 2915 with which 834 you plastered 2902 [it]?’”

 13:13 Therefore 3651, thus 3541 says 559 the Lord 136 GOD 3068, “I will make a violent 5591b wind 7307 break 1234 out in My wrath 2534. There will also be in My anger 639 a flooding 7857 rain 1653 and hailstones 417 68 to consume 3615 [it] in wrath 2534.

 13:14 “So I will tear 2040 down 2040 the wall 7023 which 834 you plastered 2902 over 2902 with whitewash 8602b and bring 5060 it down 5060 to the ground 776, so that its foundation 3247 is laid 1540 bare 1540; and when it falls 5307, you will be consumed 3615 in its midst 8432. And you will know 3045 that I am the LORD 3068.

 13:15 “Thus I will spend 3615 My wrath 2534 on the wall 7023 and on those who have plastered 2902 it over 2902 with whitewash 8602b; and I will say 559 to you, ‘The wall 7023 is gone 369 and its plasterers 2902 are gone 369,

 13:16 [along with] the prophets 5030 of Israel 3478 who prophesy 5012 to Jerusalem 3389, and who see 7200 visions 2377 of peace 7965 for her when there 369 is no 369 peace 7965,’ declares 5002 the Lord 136 GOD 3068.

 13:17 ¶ “Now you, son 1121 of man 120, set 7760 your face 6440 against 413 the daughters 1323 of your people 5971a who are prophesying 5012 from their own inspiration 3820. Prophesy 5012 against 5921 them

 13:18 and say 559, ‘Thus 3541 says 559 the Lord 136 GOD 3068, “Woe 1945 to the women who sew 8609 [magic] bands 3704 on all 3605 wrists 3027 679 and make 6213a veils 4555 for the heads 7218 of [persons] of every 3605 stature 6967 to hunt 6679 down 6679 lives 5315! Will you hunt 6679 down 6679 the lives 5315 of My people 5971a, but preserve 2421a the lives 5315 [of others] for yourselves?

 13:19 “For handfuls 8168 of barley 8184 and fragments 6604b of bread 3899, you have profaned 2490c Me to My people 5971a to put 4191 to death 4191 some 5315 who 834 should not die 4191 and to keep 2421a others 5315 alive 2421a who 834 should not live 2421a, by your lying 3576 to My people 5971a who listen 8085 to lies 3577.”’”

 13:20 ¶ Therefore 3651, thus 3541 says 559 the Lord 136 GOD 3068, “Behold 2009, I am against 413 your [magic] bands 3704 by which 834 you hunt 6679 lives 5315 there 8033 as birds 6524c and I will tear 7167 them from your arms 2220; and I will let 7971 them go 7971, even 853 those lives 5315 whom 834 you hunt 6679 as birds 6524c.

 13:21 “I will also tear 7167 off your veils 4555 and deliver 5337 My people 5971a from your hands 3027, and they will no 3808 longer 5750 be in your hands 3027 to be hunted 4686a; and you will know 3045 that I am the LORD 3068.

 13:22 “Because 3282 you disheartened 3512a the righteous 6662 with falsehood 8267 when I did not cause 3510 him grief 3510, but have encouraged 2388 3027 the wicked 7563 not to turn 7725 from his wicked 7451a way 1870 [and] preserve 2421a his life 2421a,

 13:23 therefore 3651, you women will no 3808 longer 5750 see 7200 false 7723 visions 7723 or practice 7080 divination 7081, and I will deliver 5337 My people 5971a out of your hand 3027. Thus you will know 3045 that I am the LORD 3068.”
