Ezekiel 21

1 Ezekiel prophesieth against Jerusalem with a sign of sighing. 8 The sharp and bright sword, 18 against Jerusalem, 25 against the kingdom, 28 and against the Ammonites.

 21:1 And the word 1697 of the LORD 3068 came 1961 to me saying 559,

 21:2 “Son 1121 of man 120, set 7760 your face 6440 toward 413 Jerusalem 3389, and speak 5197 against 413 the sanctuaries 4720 and prophesy 5012 against 413 the land 127 of Israel 3478;

 21:3 and say 559 to the land 127 of Israel 3478, ‘Thus 3541 says 559 the LORD 3068, “Behold 2009, I am against 413 you; and I will draw 3318 My sword 2719 out of its sheath 8593 and cut 3772 off 3772 from you the righteous 6662 and the wicked 7563.

 21:4 “Because 3282 I will cut 3772 off 3772 from you the righteous 6662 and the wicked 7563, therefore 3651 My sword 2719 will go 3318 forth 3318 from its sheath 8593 against 413 all 3605 flesh 1320 from south 5045 [to] north 6828.

 21:5 “Thus all 3605 flesh 1320 will know 3045 that I, the LORD 3068, have drawn 3318 My sword 2719 out of its sheath 8593. It will not return 7725 [to its sheath] again 5750.”’

 21:6 “As for you, son 1121 of man 120, groan 584 with breaking 7670 heart 4975 and bitter 4814 grief 4814, groan 584 in their sight 5869.

 21:7 “And when 3588 they say 559 to you, ‘Why 5921 4100 do you groan 584?’ you shall say 559, ‘Because 413 of the news 8052 that is coming 935; and every 3605 heart 3820 will melt 4549, all 3605 hands 3027 will be feeble 7503, every 3605 spirit 7307 will faint 3543a and all 3605 knees 1290 will be weak 1980 as water 4325. Behold 2009, it comes 935 and it will happen 1961,’ declares 5002 the Lord 136 GOD 3068.”

 21:8 ¶ Again the word 1697 of the LORD 3068 came 1961 to me, saying 559,

 21:9 “Son 1121 of man 120, prophesy 5012 and say 559, ‘Thus 3541 says 559 the LORD 3068.’ Say 559, ‘A sword 2719, a sword 2719 sharpened 2300 And also 1571 polished 4803!

 21:10 ‘Sharpened 2300 to make 2873 a slaughter 2874, Polished 4803 to flash 1300 like lightning 1300!’ Or 176 shall we rejoice 7797, the rod 7626 of My son 1121 despising 3988a every 3605 tree 6086?

 21:11 “It is given 5414 to be polished 4803, that it may be handled 8610; the sword 2719 is sharpened 2300 and polished 4803, to give 5414 it into the hand 3027 of the slayer 2026.

 21:12 “Cry 2199 out and wail 3213, son 1121 of man 120; for it is against My people 5971a, it is against all 3605 the officials 5387a of Israel 3478. They are delivered 4048 over to the sword 2719 with My people 5971a, therefore 3651 strike 5606 [your] thigh 3409.

 21:13 “For [there is] a testing 976; and what 4100 if 518 even 1571 the rod 7626 which despises 3988a will be no 3808 more?” declares 5002 the Lord 136 GOD 3068.

 21:14 ¶ “You therefore, son 1121 of man 120, prophesy 5012 and clap 5221 [your] hands 3709 together 413 3709; and let the sword 2719 be doubled 3717 the third 7992 time 7992, the sword 2719 for the slain 2491a. It is the sword 2719 for the great 1419 one 1419 slain 2491a, which surrounds 2314 them,

 21:15 that [their] hearts 3820 may melt 4127, and many 7235a fall 4383 at all 3605 their gates 8179. I have given 5414 the glittering 19 sword 2719. Ah 253! It is made 6213a [for striking] like lightning 1300, it is wrapped 5844a up [in readiness] for slaughter 2874.

 21:16 “Show 2300 yourself sharp 2300, go 3231 to the right 3231; set 7760 yourself; go 8041 to the left 8041, wherever 575 your edge 6440 is appointed 3259.

 21:17 “I will also 1571 clap 5221 My hands 3709 together 413 3709, and I will appease 5117 My wrath 2534; I, the LORD 3068, have spoken 1696.”

 21:18 ¶ The word 1697 of the LORD 3068 came 1961 to me saying 559,

 21:19 “As for you, son 1121 of man 120, make 7760 two 8147 ways 1870 for the sword 2719 of the king 4428 of Babylon 894 to come 935; both 8147 of them will go 3318 out of one 259 land 776. And make 1254a a signpost 3027; make 1254a it at the head 7218 of the way 1870 to the city 5892b.

 21:20 “You shall mark 7760 a way 1870 for the sword 2719 to come 935 to Rabbah 7237 of the sons 1121 of Ammon 5983, and to Judah 3063 into fortified 1219 Jerusalem 3389.

 21:21 “For the king 4428 of Babylon 894 stands 5975 at the parting 517 of the way 1870, at the head 7218 of the two 8147 ways 1870, to use 7080 divination 7081; he shakes 7043 the arrows 2671, he consults 7592 the household 8655 idols 8655, he looks 7200 at the liver 3516.

 21:22 “Into his right 3225 hand 3225 came 1961 the divination 7081, ‘Jerusalem 3389,’ to set 7760 battering 3733c rams 3733c, to open 6605a the mouth 6310 for slaughter 7524, to lift 7311 up the voice 6963 with a battle 8643 cry 8643, to set 7760 battering 3733c rams 3733c against 5921 the gates 8179, to cast 8210 up ramps 5550, to build 1129 a siege 1785 wall 1785.

 21:23 “And it will be to them like a false 7723 divination 7080 in their eyes 5869; they have [sworn] solemn 7650 oaths 7621. But he brings 2142 iniquity 5771 to remembrance 2142, that they may be seized 8610.

 21:24 ¶ “Therefore 3651, thus 3541 says 559 the Lord 136 GOD 3068, ‘Because 3282 you have made your iniquity 5771 to be remembered 2142, in that your transgressions 6588 are uncovered 1540, so that in all 3605 your deeds 5949 your sins 2403b appear 7200—because 3282 you have come 2142 to remembrance 2142, you will be seized 8610 with the hand 3709.

 21:25 ‘And you, O slain 2491a, wicked 7563 one 7563, the prince 5387a of Israel 3478, whose 834 day 3117 has come 935, in the time 6256 of the punishment 5771 of the end 7093,’

 21:26 thus 3541 says 559 the Lord 136 GOD 3068, ‘Remove 5493 the turban 4701 and take 7311 off 7311 the crown 5850; this 2088 [will] no 3808 longer [be] the same 2088. Exalt 1361b that which 8217 is low 8217 and abase 8213 that which 1364 is high 1364.

 21:27 ‘A ruin 5754, a ruin 5754, a ruin 5754, I will make 7760 it. This 2088 also 1571 will be no 3808 more until 5704 He comes 935 whose 834 right 4941 it is, and I will give 5414 it [to Him].’

 21:28 ¶ “And you, son 1121 of man 120, prophesy 5012 and say 559, ‘Thus 3541 says 559 the Lord 136 GOD 3068 concerning 413 the sons 1121 of Ammon 5983 and concerning 413 their reproach 2781,’ and say 559: ‘A sword 2719, a sword 2719 is drawn 6605a, polished 4803 for the slaughter 2874, to cause it to consume 398, that it may be like lightning 1300—

 21:29 while they see 2372 for you false 7723 visions 7723, while they divine 7080 lies 3577 for you—to place 5414 you on the necks 6677 of the wicked 7563 who 2491a are slain 2491a, whose 834 day 3117 has come 935, in the time 6256 of the punishment 5771 of the end 7093.

 21:30 ‘Return 7725 [it] to its sheath 8593. In the place 4725 where 834 you were created 1254a, in the land 776 of your origin 4351, I will judge 8199 you.

 21:31 ‘I will pour 8210 out My indignation 2195 on you; I will blow 6315 on you with the fire 784 of My wrath 5678, and I will give 5414 you into the hand 3027 of brutal 1197b men 376, skilled 2796 in destruction 4889.

 21:32 ‘You will be fuel 402 for the fire 784; your blood 1818 will be in the midst 8432 of the land 776. You will not be remembered 2142, for I, the LORD 3068, have spoken 1696.’”
