Ezekiel 40

 40:1 In the twenty-fifth 6242 2568 year 8141 of our exile 1546, at the beginning 7218 of the year 8141, on the tenth 6218 of the month 2320, in the fourteenth 702 6240 year 8141 after 310 the city 5892b was taken 5221, on that same 6106 day 3117 the hand 3027 of the LORD 3068 was upon me and He brought 935 me there 8033.

 40:2 In the visions 4759a of God 430 He brought 935 me into the land 776 of Israel 3478 and set 5117 me on a very 3966 high 1364 mountain 2022, and on it to the south 5045 [there was] a structure 4011 like a city 5892b.

 40:3 So He brought 935 me there 8033; and behold 2009, there was a man 376 whose appearance 4758 was like the appearance 4758 of bronze 5178, with a line 6616 of flax 6593 and a measuring 4060a rod 7070 in his hand 3027; and he was standing 5975 in the gateway 8179.

 40:4 The man 376 said 1696 to me, “Son 1121 of man 120, see 7200 with your eyes 5869, hear 8085 with your ears 241, and give 7760 attention 3820 to all 3605 that I am going to show 7200 you; for you have been brought 935 here 2008 in order 4616 to show 7200 [it] to you. Declare 5046 to the house 1004 of Israel 3478 all 3605 that you see 7200.”

 40:5 ¶ And behold 2009, there was a wall 2346 on the outside 2351 of the temple 1004 all 5439 around 5439, and in the man’s 376 hand 3027 was a measuring 4060a rod 7070 of six 8337a cubits 520, [each of which was] a cubit 520 and a handbreadth 2948. So he measured 4058 the thickness 7341 of the wall 2346, one 259 rod 7070; and the height 6967, one 259 rod 7070.

 40:6 Then he went 935 to the gate 8179 which 834 faced 6440 east 6921, went 5927 up its steps 4609b and measured 4058 the threshold 5592b of the gate 8179, one 259 rod 7070 in width 7341; and the other 259 threshold 5592b [was] one 259 rod 7070 in width 7341.

 40:7 The guardroom 8372 [was] one 259 rod 7070 long 753 and one 259 rod 7070 wide 7341; and [there were] five 2568 cubits 520 between 996 the guardrooms 8372. And the threshold 5592b of the gate 8179 by the porch 197 of the gate 8179 facing 4480 inward 1004 [was] one 259 rod 7070.

 40:8 Then he measured 4058 the porch 197 of the gate 8179 facing 4480 inward 1004, one 259 rod 7070.

 40:9 He measured 4058 the porch 197 of the gate 8179, eight 8083 cubits 520; and its side 352b pillars 352b, two 8147 cubits 520. And the porch 197 of the gate 8179 was faced 1004 inward 1004.

 40:10 The guardrooms 8372 of the gate 8179 toward 1870 the east 6921 [numbered] three 7969 on each 6311 side 6311; the three 7969 of them had the same 259 measurement 4060a. The side 352b pillars 352b also had the same 259 measurement 4060a on each 6311 side 6311.

 40:11 And he measured 4058 the width 7341 of the gateway 6607 8179, ten 6235 cubits 520, and the length 753 of the gate 8179, thirteen 7969 6240 cubits 520.

 40:12 [There was] a barrier 1366 [wall] one 259 cubit 520 [wide] in front 6440 of the guardrooms 8372 on each 6311 side 6311; and the guardrooms 8372 [were] six 8337a cubits 520 [square] on each 6311 side 6311.

 40:13 He measured 4058 the gate 8179 from the roof 1406 of the one guardroom 8372 to the roof 1406 of the other, a width 7341 of twenty-five 6242 2568 cubits 520 from [one] door 6607 to [the] door 6607 opposite 5048.

 40:14 He made 6213a the side 352b pillars 352b sixty 8346 cubits 520 [high]; the gate 8179 [extended] round 5439 about 5439 to the side 352b pillar 352b of the courtyard 2691a.

 40:15 [From] the front 6440 of the entrance 382b gate 8179 to the front 6440 of the inner 6442 porch 197 of the gate 8179 [was] fifty 2572 cubits 520.

 40:16 [There were] shuttered 331 windows 2474 [looking] toward 413 the guardrooms 8372, and toward 413 their side 352b pillars 352b within 6441 the gate 8179 all 5439 around 5439, and likewise 3651 for the porches 361. And [there were] windows 2474 all 5439 around 5439 inside 6441; and on [each] side 352b pillar 352b [were] palm 8561 tree 8561 ornaments 8561.

 40:17 ¶ Then he brought 935 me into the outer 2435 court 2691a, and behold 2009, [there were] chambers 3957 and a pavement 7531b made 6213a for the court 2691a all 5439 around 5439; thirty 7970 chambers 3957 faced 413 the pavement 7531b.

 40:18 The pavement 7531b ([that is], the lower 8481 pavement 7531b) [was] by the side 3802 of the gates 8179, corresponding 5980 to the length 753 of the gates 8179.

 40:19 Then he measured 4058 the width 7341 from the front 6440 of the lower 8481 gate 8179 to the front 6440 of the exterior 2351 of the inner 6442 court 2691a, a hundred 3967 cubits 520 on the east 6921 and on the north 6828.

 40:20 ¶ [As for] the gate 8179 of the outer 2435 court 2691a which 834 faced 6440 the north 6828, he measured 4058 its length 753 and its width 7341.

 40:21 It had three 7969 guardrooms 8372 on each 6311 side 6311; and its side 352b pillars 352b and its porches 361 had 1961 the same measurement 4060a as the first 7223 gate 8179. Its length 753 [was] fifty 2572 cubits 520 and the width 7341 twenty-five 6242 2568 cubits 520.

 40:22 Its windows 2474 and its porches 361 and its palm 8561 tree 8561 ornaments 8561 [had] the same measurements 4060a as the gate 8179 which 834 faced 6440 toward 1870 the east 6921; and it was reached 5927 by seven 7651 steps 4609b, and its porch 361 [was] in front 6440 of them.

 40:23 The inner 6442 court 2691a had a gate 8179 opposite 5048 the gate 8179 on the north 6828 as well as [the gate] on the east 6921; and he measured 4058 a hundred 3967 cubits 520 from gate 8179 to gate 8179.

 40:24 ¶ Then he led 1980 me toward 1870 the south 1864, and behold 2009, there was a gate 8179 toward 1870 the south 1864; and he measured 4058 its side 352b pillars 352b and its porches 361 according to those 428 same measurements 4060a.

 40:25 The gate and its porches 361 had windows 2474 all 5439 around 5439 like those 428 other windows 2474; the length 753 [was] fifty 2572 cubits 520 and the width 7341 twenty-five 6242 2568 cubits 520.

 40:26 [There were] seven 7651 steps 4609b going 5927 up to it, and its porches 361 [were] in front 6440 of them; and it had palm 8561 tree 8561 ornaments 8561 on its side 352b pillars 352b, one 259 on each 6311 side 6311.

 40:27 The inner 6442 court 2691a had a gate 8179 toward 1870 the south 1864; and he measured 4058 from gate 8179 to gate 8179 toward 1870 the south 1864, a hundred 3967 cubits 520.

 40:28 ¶ Then he brought 935 me to the inner 6442 court 2691a by the south 1864 gate 8179; and he measured 4058 the south 1864 gate 8179 according to those 428 same measurements 4060a.

 40:29 Its guardrooms 8372 also, its side 352b pillars 352b and its porches 361 [were] according to those 428 same measurements 4060a. And the gate and its porches 361 had windows 2474 all 5439 around 5439; it [was] fifty 2572 cubits 520 long 753 and twenty-five 6242 2568 cubits 520 wide 7341.

 40:30 [There were] porches 361 all 5439 around 5439, twenty-five 6242 2568 cubits 520 long 753 and five 2568 cubits 520 wide 7341.

 40:31 Its porches 361 [were] toward 413 the outer 2435 court 2691a; and palm 8561 tree 8561 ornaments 8561 [were] on its side 352b pillars 352b, and its stairway 4608 [had] eight 8083 steps 4609b.

 40:32 ¶ He brought 935 me into the inner 6442 court 2691a toward 1870 the east 6921. And he measured 4058 the gate 8179 according to those 428 same measurements 4060a.

 40:33 Its guardrooms 8372 also, its side 352b pillars 352b and its porches 361 [were] according to those 428 same measurements 4060a. And the gate and its porches 361 had windows 2474 all 5439 around 5439; it [was] fifty 2572 cubits 520 long 753 and twenty-five 6242 2568 cubits 520 wide 7341.

 40:34 Its porches 361 [were] toward the outer 2435 court 2691a; and palm 8561 tree 8561 ornaments 8561 [were] on its side 352b pillars 352b, on each 6311 side 6311, and its stairway 4608 [had] eight 8083 steps 4609b.

 40:35 ¶ Then he brought 935 me to the north 6828 gate 8179; and he measured 4058 [it] according to those 428 same measurements 4060a,

 40:36 [with] its guardrooms 8372, its side 352b pillars 352b and its porches 361. And the gate had windows 2474 all 5439 around 5439; the length 753 [was] fifty 2572 cubits 520 and the width 7341 twenty-five 6242 2568 cubits 520.

 40:37 Its side 352b pillars 352b [were] toward the outer 2435 court 2691a; and palm 8561 tree 8561 ornaments 8561 [were] on its side 352b pillars 352b on each 6311 side 6311, and its stairway 4608 had eight 8083 steps 4609b.

 40:38 ¶ A chamber 3957 with its doorway 6607 was by the side 352b pillars 352b at the gates 8179; there 8033 they rinse 1740 the burnt 5930a offering 5930a.

 40:39 In the porch 197 of the gate 8179 [were] two 8147 tables 7979 on each 6311 side 6311, on which to slaughter 7819 the burnt 5930a offering 5930a, the sin 2403b offering 2403b and the guilt 817 offering 817.

 40:40 On the outer 2351 side 3802, as one went 5927 up to the gateway 6607 8179 toward the north 6828, [were] two 8147 tables 7979; and on the other 312 side 3802 of the porch 197 of the gate 8179 [were] two 8147 tables 7979.

 40:41 Four 702 tables 7979 [were] on each 6311 side 6311 next 3802 to the gate 8179; [or], eight 8083 tables 7979 on which they slaughter 7819 [sacrifices].

 40:42 For the burnt 5930a offering 5930a [there were] four 702 tables 7979 of hewn 1496 stone 68, a cubit 520 and a half 2677 long 753, a cubit 520 and a half 2677 wide 7341 and one 259 cubit 520 high 1363, on which they lay 5117 the instruments 3627 with which 834 they slaughter 7819 the burnt 5930a offering 5930a and the sacrifice 2077.

 40:43 The double 8240b hooks 8240b, one 259 handbreadth 2948 in length, were installed 3559 in the house 1004 all 5439 around 5439; and on the tables 7979 [was] the flesh 1320 of the offering 7133a.

 40:44 ¶ From the outside 2351 to the inner 6442 gate 8179 were chambers 3957 for the singers 7891 in the inner 6442 court 2691a, [one of] which 834 was at the side 3802 of the north 6828 gate 8179, with its front 6440 toward 1870 the south 1864, and one 259 at the side 3802 of the south gate 8179 facing 6440 toward 1870 the north 6828.

 40:45 He said 1696 to me, “This 2090 is the chamber 3957 which 834 faces 6440 toward 1870 the south 1864, [intended] for the priests 3548 who keep 8104 charge 4931 of the temple 1004;

 40:46 but the chamber 3957 which 834 faces 6440 toward 1870 the north 6828 is for the priests 3548 who keep 8104 charge 4931 of the altar 4196. These 1992a are the sons 1121 of Zadok 6659, who from the sons 1121 of Levi 3878 come 7131 near 7131 to the LORD 3068 to minister 8334 to Him.”

 40:47 He measured 4058 the court 2691a, a [perfect] square 7251, a hundred 3967 cubits 520 long 753 and a hundred 3967 cubits 520 wide 7341; and the altar 4196 was in front 6440 of the temple 1004.

 40:48 ¶ Then he brought 935 me to the porch 197 of the temple 1004 and measured 4058 [each] side 352b pillar 352b of the porch 197, five 2568 cubits 520 on each 6311 side 6311; and the width 7341 of the gate 8179 was three 7969 cubits 520 on each 6311 side 6311.

 40:49 The length 753 of the porch 197 [was] twenty 6242 cubits 520 and the width 7341 eleven 6249 6240 cubits 520; and at the stairway 4609b by which 834 it was ascended 5927 [were] columns 5982 belonging to the side 352b pillars 352b, one 259 on each 6311 side 6311.
