Ezekiel 29

1 The judgment of Pharaoh for his treachery to Israel. 8 The desolation of Egypt. 13 The restoration thereof after forty years. 17 Egypt the reward of Nebuchadressar. 21 Israel shall be restored.

 29:1 In the tenth 6224 year 8141, in the tenth 6224 [month], on the twelfth 8147 6240 of the month 2320, the word 1697 of the LORD 3068 came 1961 to me saying 559,

 29:2 “Son 1121 of man 120, set 7760 your face 6440 against 5921 Pharaoh 6547 king 4428 of Egypt 4714 and prophesy 5012 against 5921 him and against 5921 all 3605 Egypt 4714.

 29:3 “Speak 1696 and say 559, ‘Thus 3541 says 559 the Lord 136 GOD 3068, “Behold 2009, I am against 5921 you, Pharaoh 6547 king 4428 of Egypt 4714, The great 1419 monster 8577 that lies 7257 in the midst 8432 of his rivers 2975, That has said 559, ‘My Nile 2975 is mine, and I myself 589 have made 6213a [it].’

 29:4 “I will put 5414 hooks 2397 in your jaws 3895 And make the fish 1710 of your rivers 2975 cling 1692 to your scales 7193. And I will bring 5927 you up out of the midst 8432 of your rivers 2975, And all 3605 the fish 1710 of your rivers 2975 will cling 1692 to your scales 7193.

 29:5 “I will abandon 5203 you to the wilderness 4057b, you and all 3605 the fish 1710 of your rivers 2975; You will fall 5307 on the open 6440 field 7704; you will not be brought 622 together 622 or gathered 6908. I have given 5414 you for food 402 to the beasts 2421b of the earth 776 and to the birds 5775 of the sky 8064.

 29:6 “Then all 3605 the inhabitants 3427 of Egypt 4714 will know 3045 that I am the LORD 3068, Because 3282 they have been 1961 [only] a staff 4938b [made] of reed 7070 to the house 1004 of Israel 3478.

 29:7 “When they took 8610 hold 8610 of you with the hand 3709, You broke 7533 and tore 1234 all 3605 their hands 3802; And when they leaned 8172 on you, You broke 7665 and made all 3605 their loins 4975 quake 5975.”

 29:8 ¶ ‘Therefore 3651 thus 3541 says 559 the Lord 136 GOD 3068, “Behold 2009, I will bring 935 upon you a sword 2719 and I will cut 3772 off 3772 from you man 120 and beast 929.

 29:9 “The land 776 of Egypt 4714 will become 1961 a desolation 8077 and waste 2723. Then they will know 3045 that I am the LORD 3068. ¶ Because 3282 you said 559, ‘The Nile 2975 is mine, and I have made 6213a [it],’

 29:10 therefore 3651, behold 2009, I am against 413 you and against 413 your rivers 2975, and I will make 5414 the land 776 of Egypt 4714 an utter 2721b waste 2721b and desolation 8077, from Migdol 4024 [to] Syene 5482a and even to the border 1366 of Ethiopia 3568a.

 29:11 “A man’s 120 foot 7272 will not pass 5674a through it, and the foot 7272 of a beast 929 will not pass 5674a through it, and it will not be inhabited 3427 for forty 705 years 8141.

 29:12 “So I will make 5414 the land 776 of Egypt 4714 a desolation 8077 in the midst 8432 of desolated 8074 lands 776. And her cities 5892b, in the midst 8432 of cities 5892b that are laid 2717b waste 2717b, will be desolate 8077 forty 705 years 8141; and I will scatter 6327a the Egyptians 4714 among the nations 1471 and disperse 2219 them among the lands 776.”

 29:13 ¶ ‘For thus 3541 says 559 the Lord 136 GOD 3068, “At the end 7093 of forty 705 years 8141 I will gather 6908 the Egyptians 4714 from the peoples 5971a among whom 834 8033 they were scattered 6327a.

 29:14 “I will turn 7725 the fortunes 7622 of Egypt 4714 and make 7725 them return 7725 to the land 776 of Pathros 6624, to the land 776 of their origin 4351, and there 8033 they will be a lowly 8217 kingdom 4467.

 29:15 “It will be the lowest 8217 of the kingdoms 4467, and it will never 3808 again 5750 lift 5375 itself up above 5921 the nations 1471. And I will make 4591 them so small 4591 that they will not rule 7287a over 5921 the nations 1471.

 29:16 “And it will never 3808 again 5750 be the confidence 4009 of the house 1004 of Israel 3478, bringing 2142 to mind 2142 the iniquity 5771 of their having turned 6437 to Egypt. Then they will know 3045 that I am the Lord 136 GOD 3068.”’”

 29:17 ¶ Now in the twenty-seventh 6242 7651 year 8141, in the first 7223 [month], on the first 259 of the month 2320, the word 1697 of the LORD 3068 came 1961 to me saying 559,

 29:18 “Son 1121 of man 120, Nebuchadnezzar 5019 king 4428 of Babylon 894 made his army 2428 labor 5656 hard 1419 against 413 Tyre 6865; every 3605 head 7218 was made 7139 bald 7139 and every 3605 shoulder 3802 was rubbed 4803 bare 4803. But he and his army 2428 had 1961 no 3808 wages 7939 from Tyre 6865 for the labor 5656 that he had performed 5647 against 5921 it.”

 29:19 Therefore 3651 thus 3541 says 559 the Lord 136 GOD 3068, “Behold 2009, I will give 5414 the land 776 of Egypt 4714 to Nebuchadnezzar 5019 king 4428 of Babylon 894. And he will carry 5375 off 5375 her wealth 1995 and capture 7997b her spoil 7998 and seize 962 her plunder 957; and it will be wages 7939 for his army 2428.

 29:20 “I have given 5414 him the land 776 of Egypt 4714 [for] his labor 6468 which 834 he performed 5647, because 834 they acted 6213a for Me,” declares 5002 the Lord 136 GOD 3068.

 29:21 ¶ “On that day 3117 I will make a horn 7161 sprout 6779 for the house 1004 of Israel 3478, and I will open 5414 6610 your mouth 6310 in their midst 8432. Then they will know 3045 that I am the LORD 3068.”
