Ezekiel 34

1 A reproof of the shepherds. 7 God's judgment against them. 11 His providence for his flock. 20 The Kingdom of Christ.

 34:1 Then the word 1697 of the LORD 3068 came 1961 to me saying 559,

 34:2 “Son 1121 of man 120, prophesy 5012 against 5921 the shepherds 7462a of Israel 3478. Prophesy 5012 and say 559 to those shepherds 7462a, ‘Thus 3541 says 559 the Lord 136 GOD 3068, “Woe 1945, shepherds 7462a of Israel 3478 who 834 have been 1961 feeding 7462a themselves! Should not the shepherds 7462a feed 7462a the flock 6629?

 34:3 “You eat 398 the fat 2459 and clothe 3847 yourselves 3847 with the wool 6785, you slaughter 2076 the fat 1277 [sheep] without 3808 feeding 7462a the flock 6629.

 34:4 “Those who are sickly 2470a you have not strengthened 2388, the diseased 2470a you have not healed 7495, the broken 7665 you have not bound 2280 up, the scattered 5080 you have not brought 7725 back 7725, nor 3808 have you sought 1245 for the lost 6; but with force 2394 and with severity 6531 you have dominated 7287a them.

 34:5 “They were scattered 6327a for lack 1097 of a shepherd 7462a, and they became 1961 food 402 for every 3605 beast 2421b of the field 7704 and were scattered 6327a.

 34:6 “My flock 6629 wandered 7686 through all 3605 the mountains 2022 and on every 3605 high 7311 hill 1389; My flock 6629 was scattered 6327a over 5921 all 3605 the surface 6440 of the earth 776, and there 369 was no 369 one 369 to search 1875 or seek 1245 [for them].”’”

 34:7 ¶ Therefore 3651, you shepherds 7462a, hear 8085 the word 1697 of the LORD 3068:

 34:8 “As I live 2416a,” declares 5002 the Lord 136 GOD 3068, “surely 518 3808 because 3282 My flock 6629 has become 1961 a prey 957, My flock 6629 has even become 1961 food 402 for all 3605 the beasts 2421b of the field 7704 for lack 369 of a shepherd 7462a, and My shepherds 7462a did not search 1875 for My flock 6629, but [rather] the shepherds 7462a fed 7462a themselves and did not feed 7462a My flock 6629;

 34:9 therefore 3651, you shepherds 7462a, hear 8085 the word 1697 of the LORD 3068:

 34:10 ‘Thus 3541 says 559 the Lord 136 GOD 3068, “Behold 2009, I am against 413 the shepherds 7462a, and I will demand 1875 My sheep 6629 from them and make them cease 7673a from feeding 7462a sheep 6629. So the shepherds 7462a will not feed 7462a themselves anymore 5750, but I will deliver 5337 My flock 6629 from their mouth 6310, so that they will not be food 402 for them.”’”

 34:11 ¶ For thus 3541 says 559 the Lord 136 GOD 3068, “Behold 2009, I Myself 589 will search 1875 for My sheep 6629 and seek 1239 them out.

 34:12 “As a shepherd 7462a cares 1243 for his herd 5739 in the day 3117 when he is among 8432 his scattered 6567a sheep 6629, so 3651 I will care 1239 for My sheep 6629 and will deliver 5337 them from all 3605 the places 4725 to which 834 they were scattered 6327a on a cloudy 6051 and gloomy 6205 day 3117.

 34:13 “I will bring 3318 them out from the peoples 5971a and gather 6908 them from the countries 776 and bring 935 them to their own land 127; and I will feed 7462a them on the mountains 2022 of Israel 3478, by the streams 650, and in all 3605 the inhabited 4186 places 4186 of the land 776.

 34:14 “I will feed 7462a them in a good 2896a pasture 4829, and their grazing 5116a ground 5116a will be on the mountain 2022 heights 4791 of Israel 3478. There 8033 they will lie 7257 down 7257 on good 2896a grazing 5116a ground 5116a and feed 7462a in rich 8082a pasture 4829 on the mountains 2022 of Israel 3478.

 34:15 “I will feed 7462a My flock 6629 and I will lead 7257 them to rest 7257,” declares 5002 the Lord 136 GOD 3068.

 34:16 “I will seek 1245 the lost 6, bring 7725 back 7725 the scattered 5080, bind 2280 up the broken 7665 and strengthen 2388 the sick 2470a; but the fat 8082a and the strong 2389 I will destroy 8045. I will feed 7462a them with judgment 4941.

 34:17 ¶ “As for you, My flock 6629, thus 3541 says 559 the Lord 136 GOD 3068, ‘Behold 2009, I will judge 8199 between 996 one sheep 7716 and another 7716, between the rams 352a and the male 6260 goats 6260.

 34:18 ‘Is it too 4480 slight 4592 a thing 4592 for you that you should feed 7462a in the good 2896a pasture 4829, that you must tread 7429 down 7429 with your feet 7272 the rest 3499a of your pastures 4829? Or that you should drink 8354 of the clear 4950 waters 4325, that you must foul 7511 the rest 3498 with your feet 7272?

 34:19 ‘As for My flock 6629, they must eat 7462a what 4823 you tread 4823 down 4823 with your feet 7272 and drink 8354 what 4833 you foul 4833 with your feet 7272!’”

 34:20 ¶ Therefore 3651, thus 3541 says 559 the Lord 136 GOD 3068 to them, “Behold 2009, I, even I, will judge 8199 between 996 the fat 1277 sheep 7716 and the lean 7330 sheep 7716.

 34:21 “Because 3282 you push 1920 with side 6654 and with shoulder 3802, and thrust 1920 at all 3605 the weak 2470a with your horns 7161 until 5704 834 you have scattered 6327a them abroad 2351,

 34:22 therefore, I will deliver 3467 My flock 6629, and they will no 3808 longer 5750 be a prey 957; and I will judge 8199 between 996 one sheep 7716 and another 7716.

 34:23 ¶ “Then I will set 6965 over 5921 them one 259 shepherd 7462a, My servant 5650 David 1732, and he will feed 7462a them; he will feed 7462a them himself 1931 and be their shepherd 7462a.

 34:24 “And I, the LORD 3068, will be their God 430, and My servant 5650 David 1732 will be prince 5387a among 8432 them; I the LORD 3068 have spoken 1696.

 34:25 ¶ “I will make 3772 a covenant 1285 of peace 7965 with them and eliminate 7673a harmful 7451a beasts 2421b from the land 776 so that they may live 3427 securely 983 in the wilderness 4057b and sleep 3462 in the woods 3293a.

 34:26 “I will make 5414 them and the places 5439 around 5439 My hill 1389 a blessing 1293. And I will cause showers 1653 to come 3381 down 3381 in their season 6256; they will be showers 1653 of blessing 1293.

 34:27 “Also the tree 6086 of the field 7704 will yield 5414 its fruit 6529 and the earth 776 will yield 5414 its increase 2981, and they will be secure 983 on their land 127. Then they will know 3045 that I am the LORD 3068, when I have broken 7665 the bars 4133 of their yoke 5923 and have delivered 5337 them from the hand 3027 of those who enslaved 5647 them.

 34:28 “They will no 3808 longer 5750 be a prey 957 to the nations 1471, and the beasts 2421b of the earth 776 will not devour 398 them; but they will live 3427 securely 983, and no 369 one 369 will make 2729 [them] afraid 2729.

 34:29 “I will establish 6965 for them a renowned 8034 planting 4302 place 4302, and they will not again 5750 be victims 622 of famine 7458 in the land 776, and they will not endure 5375 the insults 3639 of the nations 1471 anymore 5750.

 34:30 “Then they will know 3045 that I, the LORD 3068 their God 430, am with them, and that they, the house 1004 of Israel 3478, are My people 5971a,” declares 5002 the Lord 136 GOD 3068.

 34:31 “As for you, My sheep 6629, the sheep 6629 of My pasture 4830, you are men 120, and I am your God 430,” declares 5002 the Lord 136 GOD 3068.
