1, 23 The portions of the twelve tribes, 8 of the sanctuary, 15 of the city and suburbs, 21 and of the prince. 30 The dimensions and gates of the city.

 48:1 “Now these 428 are the names 8034 of the tribes 7626: from the northern 6828 extremity 7097a, beside 413 3027 the way 1870 of Hethlon 2855 to Lebo-hamath 935, [as far as] Hazar-enan 2704 [at] the border 1366 of Damascus 1834, toward the north 6828 beside 413 3027 Hamath 2574, running 1961 from east 6921 to west 3220, Dan 1835, one 259 [portion].

 48:2 “Beside 5921 the border 1366 of Dan 1835, from the east 6921 side 6285 to the west 3220 side 6285, Asher 836, one 259 [portion].

 48:3 “Beside 5921 the border 1366 of Asher 836, from the east 6921 side 6285 to the west 3220 side 6285, Naphtali 5321, one 259 [portion].

 48:4 “Beside 5921 the border 1366 of Naphtali 5321, from the east 6921 side 6285 to the west 3220 side 6285, Manasseh 4519, one 259 [portion].

 48:5 “Beside 5921 the border 1366 of Manasseh 4519, from the east 6921 side 6285 to the west 3220 side 6285, Ephraim 669, one 259 [portion].

 48:6 “Beside 5921 the border 1366 of Ephraim 669, from the east 6921 side 6285 to the west 3220 side 6285, Reuben 7205, one 259 [portion].

 48:7 “Beside 5921 the border 1366 of Reuben 7205, from the east 6921 side 6285 to the west 3220 side 6285, Judah 3063, one 259 [portion].

 48:8 ¶ “And beside 5921 the border 1366 of Judah 3063, from the east 6921 side 6285 to the west 3220 side 6285, shall be the allotment 8641 which 834 you shall set 7311 apart 7311, 25,000 6242 2568 505 [cubits] in width 7341, and in length 753 like one 259 of the portions 2506, from the east 6921 side 6285 to the west 3220 side 6285; and the sanctuary 4720 shall be in the middle 8432 of it.

 48:9 “The allotment 8641 that you shall set 7311 apart 7311 to the LORD 3068 [shall be] 25,000 2568 6242 505 [cubits] in length 753 and 10,000 6235 505 in width 7341.

 48:10 “The holy 6944 allotment 8641 shall be for these 428, [namely] for the priests 3548, toward the north 6828 25,000 2568 6242 505 [cubits in length], toward the west 3220 10,000 6235 505 in width 7341, toward the east 6921 10,000 6235 505 in width 7341, and toward the south 5045 25,000 2568 6242 505 in length 753; and the sanctuary 4720 of the LORD 3068 shall be in its midst 8432.

 48:11 “[It shall be] for the priests 3548 who are sanctified 6942 of the sons 1121 of Zadok 6659, who 834 have kept 8104 My charge 4931, who 834 did not go 8582 astray 8582 when the sons 1121 of Israel 3478 went 8582 astray 8582 as the Levites 3881 went 8582 astray 8582.

 48:12 “It shall be an allotment 8642 to them from the allotment 8641 of the land 776, a most 6944 holy 6944 place 6944, by the border 1366 of the Levites 3881.

 48:13 “Alongside 5980 the border 1366 of the priests 3548 the Levites 3881 [shall have] 25,000 2568 6242 505 [cubits] in length 753 and 10,000 6235 505 in width 7341. The whole 3605 length 753 [shall be] 25,000 2568 6242 505 [cubits] and the width 7341 10,000 6235 505.

 48:14 “Moreover, they shall not sell 4376 or exchange 4171 any 4480 of it, or alienate 5674a this choice 7225 [portion] of land 776; for it is holy 6944 to the LORD 3068.

 48:15 ¶ “The remainder 3498, 5,000 2568 505 [cubits] in width 7341 and 25,000 2568 6242 505 in length 5921 6440, shall be for common 2455 use 2455 for the city 5892b, for dwellings 4186 and for open 4054 spaces 4054; and the city 5892b shall be in its midst 8432.

 48:16 “These 428 [shall be] its measurements 4060a: the north 6828 side 6285 4,500 2568 3967 702 505 [cubits], the south 5045 side 6285 4,500 2568 3967 702 505 [cubits], the east 6921 side 6285 4,500 2568 3967 702 505 [cubits], and the west 3220 side 6285 4,500 2568 3967 702 505 [cubits].

 48:17 “The city 5892b shall have 1961 open 4054 spaces 4054: on the north 6828 250 2572 3967 [cubits], on the south 5045 250 2572 3967 [cubits], on the east 6921 250 2572 3967 [cubits], and on the west 3220 250 2572 3967 [cubits].

 48:18 “The remainder 3498 of the length 753 alongside 5980 the holy 6944 allotment 8641 shall be 10,000 6235 505 [cubits] toward the east 6921 and 10,000 6235 505 toward the west 3220; and it shall be alongside 5980 the holy 6944 allotment 8641. And its produce 8393 shall be food 3899 for the workers 5647 of the city 5892b.

 48:19 “The workers 5647 of the city 5892b, out of all 3605 the tribes 7626 of Israel 3478, shall cultivate 5647 it.

 48:20 “The whole 3605 allotment 8641 [shall be] 25,000 2568 6242 505 by 25,000 2568 6242 505 [cubits]; you shall set 7311 apart 7311 the holy 6944 allotment 8641, a square 7243, with the property 272 of the city 5892b.

 48:21 ¶ “The remainder 3498 [shall be] for the prince 5387a, on the one 2088 side 2088 and on the other 2088 of the holy 6944 allotment 8641 and of the property 272 of the city 5892b; in front 6440 of the 25,000 2568 6242 505 [cubits] of the allotment 8641 toward 5704 the east 6921 border 1366 and westward 3220 in front 6440 of the 25,000 2568 6242 505 toward 5921 the west 3220 border 1366, alongside 5980 the portions 2506, [it shall be] for the prince 5387a. And the holy 6944 allotment 8641 and the sanctuary 4720 of the house 1004 shall be in the middle 8432 of it.

 48:22 “Exclusive 4480 of the property 272 of the Levites 3881 and the property 272 of the city 5892b, [which] are in the middle 8432 of that which 834 belongs 1961 to the prince 5387a, [everything] between 996 the border 1366 of Judah 3063 and the border 1366 of Benjamin 1144 shall be for the prince 5387a.

 48:23 ¶ “As for the rest 3499a of the tribes 7626: from the east 6921 side 6285 to the west 3220 side 6285, Benjamin 1144, one 259 [portion].

 48:24 “Beside 5921 the border 1366 of Benjamin 1144, from the east 6921 side 6285 to the west 3220 side 6285, Simeon 8095, one 259 [portion].

 48:25 “Beside 5921 the border 1366 of Simeon 8095, from the east 6921 side 6285 to the west 3220 side 6285, Issachar 3485, one 259 [portion].

 48:26 “Beside 5921 the border 1366 of Issachar 3485, from the east 6921 side 6285 to the west 3220 side 6285, Zebulun 2074, one 259 [portion].

 48:27 “Beside 5921 the border 1366 of Zebulun 2074, from the east 6921 side 6285 to the west 3220 side 6285, Gad 1410, one 259 [portion].

 48:28 “And beside 5921 the border 1366 of Gad 1410, at the south 5045 side 6285 toward the south 8486, the border 1366 shall be from Tamar 8559 to the waters 4325 of Meribath-kadesh 4809 6946, to the brook 5158a [of Egypt], to the Great 1419 Sea 3220.

 48:29 “This 2088 is the land 776 which 834 you shall divide 5307 by lot 5307 to the tribes 7626 of Israel 3478 for an inheritance 5159, and these 428 are their [several] portions 4256,” declares 5002 the Lord 136 GOD 3068.

 48:30 ¶ “These 428 are the exits 8444 of the city 5892b: on the north 6828 side 6285, 4,500 2568 3967 702 505 [cubits] by measurement 4060a,

 48:31 shall be the gates 8179 of the city 5892b, named 5921 8034 for the tribes 7626 of Israel 3478, three 7969 gates 8179 toward the north 6828: the gate 8179 of Reuben 7205, one 259; the gate 8179 of Judah 3063, one 259; the gate 8179 of Levi 3878, one 259.

 48:32 “On the east 6921 side 6285, 4,500 2568 3967 702 505 [cubits], shall be three 7969 gates 8179: the gate 8179 of Joseph 3130, one 259; the gate 8179 of Benjamin 1144, one 259; the gate 8179 of Dan 1835, one 259.

 48:33 “On the south 5045 side 6285, 4,500 2568 3967 702 505 [cubits] by measurement 4060a, shall be three 7969 gates 8179: the gate 8179 of Simeon 8095, one 259; the gate 8179 of Issachar 3485, one 259; the gate 8179 of Zebulun 2074, one 259.

 48:34 “On the west 3220 side 6285, 4,500 2568 3967 702 505 [cubits, shall be] three 7969 gates 8179: the gate 8179 of Gad 1410, one 259; the gate 8179 of Asher 836, one 259; the gate 8179 of Naphtali 5321, one 259.

 48:35 “[The city shall be] 18,000 8083 6240 505 [cubits] round 5439 about 5439; and the name 8034 of the city 5892b from [that] day 3117 [shall be], ‘The LORD 3068 is there 8033.’”
