Ezekiel 38

1 The army, 8 and malice of Gog. 14 God's judgment against him.

 38:1 And the word 1697 of the LORD 3068 came 1961 to me saying 559,

 38:2 “Son 1121 of man 120, set 7760 your face 6440 toward 413 Gog 1463 of the land 776 of Magog 4031, the prince 5387a of Rosh 7220b, Meshech 4902 and Tubal 8422, and prophesy 5012 against 5921 him

 38:3 and say 559, ‘Thus 3541 says 559 the Lord 136 GOD 3068, “Behold 2009, I am against 413 you, O Gog 1463, prince 5387a of Rosh 7220b, Meshech 4902 and Tubal 8422.

 38:4 “I will turn 7725 you about 7725 and put 5414 hooks 2397 into your jaws 3895, and I will bring 3318 you out, and all 3605 your army 2428, horses 5483b and horsemen 6571b, all 3605 of them splendidly 4358 attired 3847, a great 7227a company 6951 [with] buckler 6793c and shield 4043, all 3605 of them wielding 8610 swords 2719;

 38:5 Persia 6539, Ethiopia 3568a and Put 6316 with them, all 3605 of them [with] shield 4043 and helmet 3553;

 38:6 Gomer 1586 with all 3605 its troops 102; Beth-togarmah 1004 8425 [from] the remote 3411 parts 3411 of the north 6828 with all 3605 its troops 102—many 7227a peoples 5971a with you.

 38:7 ¶ “Be prepared 3559, and prepare 3559 yourself, you and all 3605 your companies 6951 that are assembled 6950 about 5921 you, and be a guard 4929 for them.

 38:8 “After 4480 many 7227a days 3117 you will be summoned 6485; in the latter 319 years 8141 you will come 935 into the land 776 that is restored 7725 from the sword 2719, [whose inhabitants] have been gathered 6908 from many 7227a nations 5971a to the mountains 2022 of Israel 3478 which 834 had been 1961 a continual 8548 waste 2723; but its people were brought 3318 out from the nations 5971a, and they are living 3427 securely 983, all 3605 of them.

 38:9 “You will go 5927 up, you will come 935 like a storm 7724b; you will be like a cloud 6051 covering 3680 the land 776, you and all 3605 your troops 102, and many 7227a peoples 5971a with you.”

 38:10 ¶ ‘Thus 3541 says 559 the Lord 136 GOD 3068, “It will come 1961 about on that day 3117, that thoughts 1697 will come 5927 into your mind 3824 and you will devise 2803 an evil 7451a plan 4284,

 38:11 and you will say 559, ‘I will go 5927 up against 5921 the land 776 of unwalled 6519 villages 6519. I will go 5927 against those who are at rest 8252, that live 3427 securely 983, all 3605 of them living 3427 without 369 walls 2346 and having 369 no 369 bars 1280 or gates 1817,

 38:12 to capture 7997b spoil 7998 and to seize 962 plunder 957, to turn 7725 your hand 3027 against 5921 the waste 2723 places 2723 which are [now] inhabited 3427, and against 413 the people 5971a who are gathered 622 from the nations 1471, who have acquired 6213a cattle 4735 and goods 7075, who live 3427 at the center 2872 of the world 776.’

 38:13 “Sheba 7614 and Dedan 1719 and the merchants 5503 of Tarshish 8659 with all 3605 its villages 3724d will say 559 to you, ‘Have you come 935 to capture 7997b spoil 7998? Have you assembled 6950 your company 6951 to seize 962 plunder 957, to carry 5375 away silver 3701 and gold 2091, to take 3947 away cattle 4735 and goods 7075, to capture 7997b great 1419 spoil 7998?’”’

 38:14 ¶ “Therefore 3651 prophesy 5012, son 1121 of man 120, and say 559 to Gog 1463, ‘Thus 3541 says 559 the Lord 136 GOD 3068, “On that day 3117 when My people 5971a Israel 3478 are living 3427 securely 983, will you not know 3045 [it]?

 38:15 “You will come 935 from your place 4725 out of the remote 3411 parts 3411 of the north 6828, you and many 7227a peoples 5971a with you, all 3605 of them riding 7392 on horses 5483b, a great 1419 assembly 6951 and a mighty 7227a army 2428;

 38:16 and you will come 5927 up against 5921 My people 5971a Israel 3478 like a cloud 6051 to cover 3680 the land 776. It shall come 1961 about in the last 319 days 3117 that I will bring 935 you against 5921 My land 776, so 4616 that the nations 1471 may know 3045 Me when I am sanctified 6942 through you before their eyes 5869, O Gog 1463.”

 38:17 ¶ ‘Thus 3541 says 559 the Lord 136 GOD 3068, “Are you the one 1931 of whom 834 I spoke 1696 in former 6931 days 3117 through 3027 My servants 5650 the prophets 5030 of Israel 3478, who prophesied 5012 in those 1992a days 3117 for [many] years 8141 that I would bring 935 you against 5921 them?

 38:18 “It will come 1961 about on that day 3117, when 3117 Gog 1463 comes 935 against 5921 the land 127 of Israel 3478,” declares 5002 the Lord 136 GOD 3068, “that My fury 2534 will mount 5927 up in My anger 639.

 38:19 “In My zeal 7068 and in My blazing 784 wrath 5678 I declare 1696 [that] on that day 3117 there will surely 518 3808 be a great 1419 earthquake 7494 in the land 127 of Israel 3478.

 38:20 “The fish 1709 of the sea 3220, the birds 5775 of the heavens 8064, the beasts 2421b of the field 7704, all 3605 the creeping 7431 things 7431 that creep 7430 on the earth 127, and all 3605 the men 120 who 834 are on the face 6440 of the earth 127 will shake 7493 at My presence 6440; the mountains 2022 also will be thrown 2040 down 2040, the steep 4095 pathways 4095 will collapse 5307 and every 3605 wall 2346 will fall 5307 to the ground 776.

 38:21 “I will call 7121 for a sword 2719 against 5921 him on all 3605 My mountains 2022,” declares 5002 the Lord 136 GOD 3068. “Every 376 man’s 376 sword 2719 will be against his brother 251.

 38:22 “With pestilence 1698 and with blood 1818 I will enter 8199 into judgment 8199 with him; and I will rain 4305 on him and on his troops 102, and on the many 7227a peoples 5971a who 834 are with him, a torrential 7857 rain 1653, with hailstones 417 68, fire 784 and brimstone 1614.

 38:23 “I will magnify 1431 Myself, sanctify 6942 Myself, and make 3045 Myself known 3045 in the sight 5869 of many 7227a nations 1471; and they will know 3045 that I am the LORD 3068.”’
