Ezekiel 31

1 A relation unto Pharaoh, 3 of the glory of Assyria, 10 and the fall thereof for pride. 18 The like destruction of Egypt.

 31:1 In the eleventh 259 6240 year 8141, in the third 7992 [month], on the first 259 of the month 2320, the word 1697 of the LORD 3068 came 1961 to me saying 559,

 31:2 “Son 1121 of man 120, say 559 to Pharaoh 6547 king 4428 of Egypt 4714 and to his hordes 1995, ‘Whom 413 4310 are you like 1819 in your greatness 1433?

 31:3 ‘Behold 2009, Assyria 804b [was] a cedar 730 in Lebanon 3844 With beautiful 3303 branches 6057 and forest 2793 shade 6751, And very 6967 high 6967, And its top 6788 was among 996 the clouds 5645.

 31:4 ‘The waters 4325 made it grow 1431, the deep 8415 made 7311 it high 7311. With its rivers 5104 it continually extended 1980 all 5439 around 5439 its planting 4302 place 4302, And sent 7971 out its channels 8585a to all 3605 the trees 6086 of the field 7704.

 31:5 ‘Therefore 5921 3651 its height 6967 was loftier 1361b than 4480 all 3605 the trees 6086 of the field 7704 And its boughs 5634 became 7235a many 7235a and its branches 6288 long 748 Because 4480 of many 7227a waters 4325 as it spread 7971 them out.

 31:6 ‘All 3605 the birds 5775 of the heavens 8064 nested 7077 in its boughs 5589a, And under 8478 its branches 6288 all 3605 the beasts 2421b of the field 7704 gave 3205 birth 3205, And all 3605 great 7227a nations 1471 lived 3427 under its shade 6738.

 31:7 ‘So it was beautiful 3302 in its greatness 1433, in the length 753 of its branches 1808; For its roots 8328 extended 1961 to many 7227a waters 4325.

 31:8 ‘The cedars 730 in God’s 430 garden 1588 could not match 6004 it; The cypresses 1265 could not compare 1819 with its boughs 5589a, And the plane 6196 trees 6196 could not match its branches 6288. No 3605 3808 tree 6086 in God’s 430 garden 1588 could compare 1819 with it in its beauty 3308.

 31:9 ‘I made 6213a it beautiful 3303 with the multitude 7230 of its branches 1808, And all 3605 the trees 6086 of Eden 5731, which 834 were in the garden 1588 of God 430, were jealous 7065 of it.

 31:10 ¶ ‘Therefore 3651 thus 3541 says 559 the Lord 136 GOD 3068, “Because 3282 834 it is high 1361b in stature 6967 and has set 5414 its top 6788 among 996 the clouds 5645, and its heart 3824 is haughty 7311 in its loftiness 1363,

 31:11 therefore I will give 5414 it into the hand 3027 of a despot 352c of the nations 1471; he will thoroughly 6213a deal 6213a with it. According to its wickedness 7562 I have driven 1644 it away 1644.

 31:12 “Alien 2114a tyrants 6184 of the nations 1471 have cut 3772 it down 3772 and left 5203 it; on the mountains 2022 and in all 3605 the valleys 1516 its branches 1808 have fallen 5307 and its boughs 6288 have been broken 7665 in all 3605 the ravines 650 of the land 776. And all 3605 the peoples 5971a of the earth 776 have gone 3381 down 3381 from its shade 6738 and left 5203 it.

 31:13 “On its ruin 4658 all 3605 the birds 5775 of the heavens 8064 will dwell 7931, and all 3605 the beasts 2421b of the field 7704 will be on its [fallen] branches 6288

 31:14 so 4616 that all 3605 the trees 6086 by the waters 4325 may not be exalted 1361b in their stature 6967, nor 3808 set 5414 their top 6788 among 996 the clouds 5645, nor 3808 their well-watered 8354 mighty 352c ones stand 5975 [erect] in their height 6967. For they have all 3605 been given 5414 over to death 4194, to the earth 776 beneath 8482, among 8432 the sons 1121 of men 120, with those who go 3381 down 3381 to the pit 953a.”

 31:15 ¶ ‘Thus 3541 says 559 the Lord 136 GOD 3068, “On the day 3117 when it went 3381 down 3381 to Sheol 7585 I caused 56 lamentations 56; I closed 3680 the deep 8415 over 5921 it and held 4513 back 4513 its rivers 5104. And [its] many 7227a waters 4325 were stopped 3607 up, and I made Lebanon 3844 mourn 6937 for it, and all 3605 the trees 6086 of the field 7704 wilted 5968 away 5968 on account 5921 of it.

 31:16 “I made the nations 1471 quake 7493 at the sound 6963 of its fall 4658 when I made it go 3381 down 3381 to Sheol 7585 with those who go 3381 down 3381 to the pit 953a; and all 3605 the well-watered 8354 trees 6086 of Eden 5731, the choicest 4005 and best 2896a of Lebanon 3844, were comforted 5162 in the earth 776 beneath 8482.

 31:17 “They also 1571 went 3381 down 3381 with it to Sheol 7585 to those who were slain 2491a by the sword 2719; and those who were its strength 2220 lived 3427 under its shade 6738 among 8432 the nations 1471.

 31:18 ¶ “To which 4310 among the trees 6086 of Eden 5731 are you thus 3602 equal 1819 in glory 3519b and greatness 1433? Yet you will be brought 3381 down 3381 with the trees 6086 of Eden 5731 to the earth 776 beneath 8482; you will lie 7901 in the midst 8432 of the uncircumcised 6189, with those who were slain 2491a by the sword 2719. So is Pharaoh 6547 and all 3605 his hordes 1995!”’ declares 5002 the Lord 136 GOD 3068.”
