Ezekiel 32

1 A lamentation for the fearful fall of Egypt. 11 The sword of Babylon shall destroy it. 17 It shall be brought down to hell, among all the uncircumcised nations.

 32:1 In the twelfth 8147 6240 year 8141, in the twelfth 8147 6240 [month], on the first 259 of the month 2320, the word 1697 of the LORD 3068 came 1961 to me saying 559,

 32:2 “Son 1121 of man 120, take 5375 up a lamentation 7015 over 5921 Pharaoh 6547 king 4428 of Egypt 4714 and say 559 to him, ‘You compared 1819 yourself to a young 3715 lion 3715 of the nations 1471, Yet you are like the monster 8577 in the seas 3220; And you burst 1518 forth 1518 in your rivers 5104 And muddied 1804 the waters 4325 with your feet 7272 And fouled 7511 their rivers 5104.’”

 32:3 ¶ Thus 3541 says 559 the Lord 136 GOD 3068, “Now I will spread 6566 My net 7568 over 5921 you With a company 6951 of many 7227a peoples 5971a, And they shall lift 5927 you up in My net 2764b.

 32:4 “I will leave 5203 you on the land 776; I will cast 2904 you on the open 6440 field 7704. And I will cause all 3605 the birds 5775 of the heavens 8064 to dwell 7931 on you, And I will satisfy 7646 the beasts 2421b of the whole 3605 earth 776 with you.

 32:5 “I will lay 5414 your flesh 1320 on the mountains 2022 And fill 4390 the valleys 1516 with your refuse 7419.

 32:6 “I will also make the land 776 drink 8248 the discharge 6824 of your blood 1818 As far 413 as the mountains 2022, And the ravines 650 will be full 4390 of you.

 32:7 “And when [I] extinguish 3518 you, I will cover 3680 the heavens 8064 and darken 6937 their stars 3556; I will cover 3680 the sun 8121 with a cloud 6051 And the moon 3394 will not give 215 its light 216.

 32:8 “All 3605 the shining 3974 lights 216 in the heavens 8064 I will darken 6937 over 5921 you And will set 5414 darkness 2822 on your land 776,” Declares 5002 the Lord 136 GOD 3068.

 32:9 “I will also trouble 3707 the hearts 3820 of many 7227a peoples 5971a when I bring 935 your destruction 7667 among the nations 1471, into lands 776 which 834 you have not known 3045.

 32:10 “I will make 8074 many 7227a peoples 5971a appalled 8074 at you, and their kings 4428 will be horribly 8178a afraid 8175c of you when I brandish 5774a My sword 2719 before 5921 6440 them; and they will tremble 2729 every moment 7281, every 376 man 376 for his own life 5315, on the day 3117 of your fall 4658.”

 32:11 ¶ For thus 3541 says 559 the Lord 136 GOD 3068, “The sword 2719 of the king 4428 of Babylon 894 will come 935 upon you.

 32:12 “By the swords 2719 of the mighty 1368 ones 1368 I will cause your hordes 1995 to fall 5307; all 3605 of them are tyrants 6184 of the nations 1471, And they will devastate 7703 the pride 1347b of Egypt 4714, And all 3605 its hordes 1995 will be destroyed 8045.

 32:13 “I will also destroy 6 all 3605 its cattle 929 from beside 5921 many 7227a waters 4325; And the foot 7272 of man 120 will not muddy 1804 them anymore 5750 And the hoofs 6541 of beasts 929 will not muddy 1804 them.

 32:14 “Then 227 I will make their waters 4325 settle 8257 And will cause their rivers 5104 to run 1980 like oil 8081,” Declares 5002 the Lord 136 GOD 3068.

 32:15 “When I make 5414 the land 776 of Egypt 4714 a desolation 8077, And the land 776 is destitute 8074 of that which 4393 filled 4393 it, When I smite 5221 all 3605 those who live 3427 in it, Then they shall know 3045 that I am the LORD 3068.

 32:16 “This 1931 is a lamentation 7015 and they shall chant 6969 it. The daughters 1323 of the nations 1471 shall chant 6969 it. Over 5921 Egypt 4714 and over 5921 all 3605 her hordes 1995 they shall chant 6969 it,” declares 5002 the Lord 136 GOD 3068.

 32:17 ¶ In the twelfth 8147 6240 year 8141, on the fifteenth 2568 6240 of the month 2320, the word 1697 of the LORD 3068 came 1961 to me saying 559,

 32:18 “Son 1121 of man 120, wail 5091 for the hordes 1995 of Egypt 4714 and bring 3381 it down 3381, her and the daughters 1323 of the powerful 117 nations 1471, to the nether 8482 world 776, with those who go 3381 down 3381 to the pit 953a;

 32:19 ‘Whom 4310 do you surpass 5276 in beauty 5276? Go 3381 down 3381 and make 7901 your bed 7901 with the uncircumcised 6189.’

 32:20 “They shall fall 5307 in the midst 8432 of those who are slain 2491a by the sword 2719. She is given 5414 over to the sword 2719; they have drawn 4900 her and all 3605 her hordes 1995 away 4900.

 32:21 “The strong 410 among the mighty 1368 ones 1368 shall speak 1696 of him [and] his helpers 1368 from the midst 8432 of Sheol 7585, ‘They have gone 3381 down 3381, they lie 7901 still 7901, the uncircumcised 6189, slain 2491a by the sword 2719.’

 32:22 ¶ “Assyria 804b is there 8033 and all 3605 her company 6951; her graves 6913 are round 5439 about 5439 her. All 3605 of them are slain 2491a, fallen 5307 by the sword 2719,

 32:23 whose 834 graves 6913 are set 5414 in the remotest 3411 parts 3411 of the pit 953a and her company 6951 is round 5439 about 5439 her grave 6900. All 3605 of them are slain 2491a, fallen 5307 by the sword 2719, who 834 spread 5414 terror 2851 in the land 776 of the living 2416a.

 32:24 ¶ “Elam 5867a is there 8033 and all 3605 her hordes 1995 around 5439 her grave 6900; all 3605 of them slain 2491a, fallen 5307 by the sword 2719, who 834 went 3381 down 3381 uncircumcised 6189 to the lower 8482 parts 8482 of the earth 776, who 834 instilled 5414 their terror 2851 in the land 776 of the living 2416a and bore 5375 their disgrace 3639 with those who went 3381 down 3381 to the pit 953a.

 32:25 “They have made 5414 a bed 4904 for her among 8432 the slain 2491a with all 3605 her hordes 1995. Her graves 6913 are around 5439 it, they are all 3605 uncircumcised 6189, slain 2491a by the sword 2719 (although 3588 their terror 2851 was instilled 5414 in the land 776 of the living 2416a), and they bore 5375 their disgrace 3639 with those who go 3381 down 3381 to the pit 953a; they were put 5414 in the midst 8432 of the slain 2491a.

 32:26 ¶ “Meshech 4902, Tubal 8422 and all 3605 their hordes 1995 are there 8033; their graves 6913 surround 5439 them. All 3605 of them were slain 2490a by the sword 2719 uncircumcised 6189, though 3588 they instilled 5414 their terror 2851 in the land 776 of the living 2416a.

 32:27 “Nor 3808 do they lie 7901 beside 854 the fallen 5307 heroes 1368 of the uncircumcised 6189, who 834 went 3381 down 3381 to Sheol 7585 with their weapons 3627 of war 4421 and whose swords 2719 were laid 5414 under 8478 their heads 7218; but the punishment 5771 for their iniquity 5771 rested 1961 on their bones 6106, though 3588 the terror 2851 of [these] heroes 1368 [was once] in the land 776 of the living 2416a.

 32:28 “But in the midst 8432 of the uncircumcised 6189 you will be broken 7665 and lie 7901 with those slain 2491a by the sword 2719.

 32:29 ¶ “There 8033 also is Edom 112b, its kings 4428 and all 3605 its princes 5387a, who 834 for [all] their might 1369 are laid 5414 with those slain 2491a by the sword 2719; they will lie 7901 with the uncircumcised 6189 and with those who go 3381 down 3381 to the pit 953a.

 32:30 ¶ “There 8033 also are the chiefs 5257b of the north 6828, all 3605 of them, and all 3605 the Sidonians 6722, who 834 in spite of the terror 2851 resulting from their might 1369, in shame 954 went 3381 down 3381 with the slain 2491a. So they lay 7901 down 7901 uncircumcised 6189 with those slain 2491a by the sword 2719 and bore 5375 their disgrace 3639 with those who go 3381 down 3381 to the pit 953a.

 32:31 ¶ “These Pharaoh 6547 will see 7200, and he will be comforted 5162 for all 3605 his hordes 1995 slain 2491a by the sword 2719, [even] Pharaoh 6547 and all 3605 his army 2428,” declares 5002 the Lord 136 GOD 3068.

 32:32 “Though 3588 I instilled 5414 a terror 2851 of him in the land 776 of the living 2416a, yet he will be made to lie 7901 down 7901 among 8432 [the] uncircumcised 6189 [along] with those slain 2491a by the sword 2719, [even] Pharaoh 6547 and all 3605 his hordes 1995,” declares 5002 the Lord 136 GOD 3068.
