Καὶ διασωθέντες τότε ἐπέγνωμεν ὅτι Μελιτήνη ἡ νῆσος καλεῖται.

 28:1 Καὶ "And" διασωθέντες "having-been-saved-through" τότε "to-the-one-which-also" ἐπέγνωμεν "we-had-acquainted-upon" ὅτι "to-which-a-one" Μελιτήνη "a-Melitene" ἡ "the-one" νῆσος "an-isle" καλεῖται. "it-be-called-unto."

οἵ τε βάρβαροι παρεῖχαν οὐ τὴν τυχοῦσαν φιλανθρωπίαν ἡμῖν, ἅψαντες γὰρ πυρὰν προσελάβοντο πάντας ἡμᾶς διὰ τὸν ὑετὸν τὸν ἐφεστῶτα καὶ διὰ τὸ ψύχος.
