רַק הַבָּמוֹת לֹא־סָרוּ עוֹד הָעָם מְזַבְּחִים וּמְקַטְּרִים בַּבָּמוֹת

וַיִּקְרָא הַמֶּלֶךְ יְהוֹאָשׁ לִיהוֹיָדָע הַכֹּהֵן וְלַכֹּהֲנִים וַיֹּאמֶר אֲלֵהֶם מַדּוּעַ אֵינְכֶם מְחַזְּקִים אֶת־בֶּדֶק הַבָּיִת וְעַתָּה אַל־תִּקְחוּ־כֶסֶף מֵאֵת מַכָּרֵיכֶם כִּי־לְבֶדֶק הַבַּיִת תִּתְּנֻהוּ

 12:7 Then king 4428 Yæhô´äš יְהוֹאָשׁ 3060 called 7121 z8799 for Yæhôyäđä` יְהוֹיָדָע 3077 the priest, 3548 and the [other] priests, 3548 and said 559 z8799 unto x413 them, Why x4069 repair 2388 z8764 ye not x369 x853 the breaches 919 of the house? 1004 now x6258 therefore receive 3947 z8799 no x408 [more] money 3701 of x4480 x854 your acquaintance, 4378 but x3588 deliver 5414 z8799 it for the breaches 919 of the house. 1004

וַיֵּאֹתוּ הַכֹּהֲנִים לְבִלְתִּי קְחַת־כֶּסֶף מֵאֵת הָעָם וּלְבִלְתִּי חַזֵּק אֶת־בֶּדֶק הַבָּיִת

 12:8 waYëotû haKohániym l'vil'Tiy q'chat-Kešef mëët hääm ûl'vil'Tiy chaZëq et-Bedeq haBäyit

וַיְהִי כִּרְאוֹתָם כִּי־רַב הַכֶּסֶף בָּאָרוֹן וַיַּעַל סֹפֵר הַמֶּלֶךְ וְהַכֹּהֵן הַגָּדוֹל וַיָּצֻרוּ וַיִּמְנוּ אֶת־הַכֶּסֶף הַנִּמְצָא בֵית־יְהוָה

וְלַגֹּדְרִים וּלְחֹצְבֵי הָאֶבֶן וְלִקְנוֹת עֵצִים וְאַבְנֵי מַחְצֵב לְחַזֵּק אֶת־בֶּדֶק בֵּית־יְהוָה וּלְכֹל אֲשֶׁר־יֵצֵא עַל־הַבַּיִת לְחָזְקָה

 12:12 w'laGod'riym ûl'chotz'vëy häeven w'liq'nôt ëtziym w'av'nëy mach'tzëv l'chaZëq et-Bedeq Bëyt-y'hwäh ûl'khol ásher-yëtzë al-haBayit l'chäz'qäh

 12:12 And to masons, 1443 z8802 and hewers 2672 z8802 of stone, 68 and to buy 7069 z8800 timber 6086 and hewed 4274 stone 68 to repair 2388 z8763 x853 the breaches 919 of the house 1004 of Yähwè יָהוֶה, 3068 and for all x3605 that x834 was laid out 3318 z8799 for x5921 the house 1004 to repair 2394 [it].

אַךְ לֹא יֵעָשֶׂה בֵּית יְהוָה סִפּוֹת כֶּסֶף מְזַמְּרוֹת מִזְרָקוֹת חֲצֹצְרוֹת כָּל־כְּלִי זָהָב וּכְלִי־כָסֶף מִן־הַכֶּסֶף הַמּוּבָא בֵית־יְהוָה

 12:13 Howbeit x389 there were not x3808 made 6213 z8735 for the house 1004 of Yähwè יָהוֶה 3068 bowls 5592 of silver, 3701 snuffers, 4212 basons, 4219 trumpets, 2689 any x3605 vessels 3627 of gold, 2091 or vessels 3627 of silver, 3701 of x4480 the money 3701 [that was] brought 935 z8716 into the house 1004 of Yähwè יָהוֶה: 3068

כִּי־לְעֹשֵׂי הַמְּלָאכָה יִתְּנֻהוּ וְחִזְּקוּ־בוֹ אֶת־בֵּית יְהוָה

 12:14 Kiy-l'osëy haM'läkhäh yiT'nuhû w'chiZ'qû-vô et-Bëyt y'hwäh

 12:14 But x3588 they gave 5414 z8799 that to the workmen, 4399 6213 z8802 and repaired 2388 z8765 therewith x853 the house 1004 of Yähwè יָהוֶה. 3068

וְלֹא יְחַשְּׁבוּ אֶת־הָאֲנָשִׁים אֲשֶׁר יִתְּנוּ אֶת־הַכֶּסֶף עַל־יָדָם לָתֵת לְעֹשֵׂי הַמְּלָאכָה כִּי בֶאֱמֻנָה הֵם עֹשִׂים

אָז יַעֲלֶה חֲזָאֵל מֶלֶךְ אֲרָם וַיִּלָּחֶם עַל־גַּת וַיִּלְכְּדָהּ וַיָּשֶׂם חֲזָאֵל פָּנָיו לַעֲלוֹת עַל־יְרוּשָׁלִָם
