נֵלְכָה־נָּא עַד־הַיַּרְדֵּן וְנִקְחָה מִשָּׁם אִישׁ קוֹרָה אֶחָת וְנַעֲשֶׂה־לָּנוּ שָׁם מָקוֹם לָשֶׁבֶת שָׁם וַיֹּאמֶר לֵכוּ

וַיֵּלֶךְ אִתָּם וַיָּבֹאוּ הַיַּרְדֵּנָה וַיִּגְזְרוּ הָעֵצִים

 6:4 waYëlekh' iTäm waYävoû haYar'Dënäh waYig'z'rû häëtziym

וַיִּשְׁלַח־שָׁמָּה סוּסִים וְרֶכֶב וְחַיִל כָּבֵד וַיָּבֹאוּ לַיְלָה וַיַּקִּפוּ עַל־הָעִיר

וַיַּשְׁכֵּם מְשָׁרֵת אִישׁ הָאֱלֹהִים לָקוּם וַיֵּצֵא וְהִנֵּה־חַיִל סוֹבֵב אֶת־הָעִיר וְסוּס וָרָכֶב וַיֹּאמֶר נַעֲרוֹ אֵלָיו אֲהָהּ אֲדֹנִי אֵיכָה נַעֲשֶׂה

 6:15 And when the servant 8334 z8764 of the man 376 of ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִים 430 was risen 6965 z8800 early, 7925 z8686 and gone forth, 3318 z8799 behold, x2009 an host 2428 compassed 5437 z8802 x853 the city 5892 both with horses 5483 and chariots. 7393 And his servant 5288 said 559 z8799 unto x413 him, Alas, 162 my ´áđôn אֲדוֹן! 113 how x349 shall we do? 6213 z8799

וַיֹּאמֶר אַל־תִּירָא כִּי רַבִּים אֲשֶׁר אִתָּנוּ מֵאֲשֶׁר אוֹתָם

 6:16 waYomer al-Tiyrä Kiy raBiym ásher iTänû mëásher ôtäm

 6:16 And he answered, 559 z8799 Fear 3372 z8799 not: x408 for x3588 they that x834 [be] with x854 us [are] more 7227 than they that x4480 x834 [be] with x854 them.

וַיִּתְפַּלֵּל אֱלִישָׁע וַיֹּאמַר יְהוָה פְּקַח־נָא אֶת־עֵינָיו וְיִרְאֶה וַיִּפְקַח יְהוָה אֶת־עֵינֵי הַנַּעַר וַיַּרְא וְהִנֵּה הָהָר מָלֵא סוּסִים וְרֶכֶב אֵשׁ סְבִיבֹת אֱלִישָׁע

 6:17 waYit'PaLël éliyshä waYomar y'hwäh P'qach-nä et-ëynäyw w'yir'eh waYif'qach y'hwäh et-ëynëy haNaar waYar' w'hiNëh hähär mälë šûšiym w'rekhev ësh š'viyvot éliyshä

 6:17 And ´Élîšä` אֱלִישָׁע 477 prayed, 6419 z8691 and said, 559 z8799 Yähwè יָהוֶה, 3068 I pray thee, x4994 open 6491 z8798 x853 his eyes, 5869 that he may see. 7200 z8799 And Yähwè יָהוֶה 3068 opened 6491 z8799 x853 the eyes 5869 of the young man; 5288 and he saw: 7200 z8799 and, behold, x2009 the mountain 2022 [was] full 4390 z8804 of horses 5483 and chariots 7393 of fire 784 round about 5439 ´Élîšä` אֱלִישָׁע. 477

וַיֵּרְדוּ אֵלָיו וַיִּתְפַּלֵּל אֱלִישָׁע אֶל־יְהוָה וַיֹּאמַר הַךְ־נָא אֶת־הַגּוֹי־הַזֶּה בַּסַּנְוֵרִים וַיַּכֵּם בַּסַּנְוֵרִים כִּדְבַר אֱלִישָׁע

 6:18 And when they came down 3381 z8799 to x413 him, ´Élîšä` אֱלִישָׁע 477 prayed 6419 z8691 unto x413 Yähwè יָהוֶה, 3068 and said, 559 z8799 Smite 5221 z8685 x853 this x2088 people, 1471 I pray thee, x4994 with blindness. 5575 And he smote 5221 z8686 them with blindness 5575 according to the word 1697 of ´Élîšä` אֱלִישָׁע. 477

וַיֹּאמֶר אֲלֵהֶם אֱלִישָׁע לֹא זֶה הַדֶּרֶךְ וְלֹא זֹה הָעִיר לְכוּ אַחֲרַי וְאוֹלִיכָה אֶתְכֶם אֶל־הָאִישׁ אֲשֶׁר תְּבַקֵּשׁוּן וַיֹּלֶךְ אוֹתָם שֹׁמְרוֹנָה

 6:19 ¶ And ´Élîšä` אֱלִישָׁע 477 said 559 z8799 unto x413 them, This x2088 [is] not x3808 the way, 1870 neither x3808 [is] this 2090 the city: 5892 follow 310 y3212 z8798 x1980 me, and I will bring y3212 z8686 x1980 you to x413 the man 376 whom x834 ye seek. 1245 z8762 But he led y3212 z8686 x1980 them to Šömrôn שֹׁמרוֹן. 8111

וַיְהִי כְּבֹאָם שֹׁמְרוֹן וַיֹּאמֶר אֱלִישָׁע יְהוָה פְּקַח אֶת־עֵינֵי־אֵלֶּה וְיִרְאוּ וַיִּפְקַח יְהוָה אֶת־עֵינֵיהֶם וַיִּרְאוּ וְהִנֵּה בְּתוֹךְ שֹׁמְרוֹן

וַיֹּאמֶר מֶלֶךְ־יִשְׂרָאֵל אֶל־אֱלִישָׁע כִּרְאֹתוֹ אוֹתָם הַאַכֶּה אַכֶּה אָבִי

 6:21 And the king 4428 of Yiŝrä´ël יִשׂרָאֵל 3478 said 559 z8799 unto x413 ´Élîšä` אֱלִישָׁע, 477 when he saw 7200 z8800 them, My father, 1 shall I smite 5221 z8686 [them]? shall I smite 5221 z8686 [them]?

וַיֹּאמֶר לֹא תַכֶּה הַאֲשֶׁר שָׁבִיתָ בְּחַרְבְּךָ וּבְקַשְׁתְּךָ אַתָּה מַכֶּה שִׂים לֶחֶם וָמַיִם לִפְנֵיהֶם וְיֹאכְלוּ וְיִשְׁתּוּ וְיֵלְכוּ אֶל־אֲדֹנֵיהֶם

 6:22 waYomer lo taKeh haásher shäviytä B'char'B'khä ûv'qash'T'khä aTäh maKeh siym lechem wämayim lif'nëyhem w'yokh'lû w'yish'Tû w'yël'khû el-ádonëyhem

 6:22 And he answered, 559 z8799 Thou shalt not x3808 smite 5221 z8686 [them]: wouldest thou x859 smite 5221 z8688 those whom x834 thou hast taken captive 7617 z8804 with thy sword 2719 and with thy bow? 7198 set 7760 z8798 bread 3899 and water 4325 before 6440 them, that they may eat 398 z8799 and drink, 8354 z8799 and go y3212 z8799 x1980 to x413 their ´áđôn אֲדוֹן. 113

וַיִּכְרֶה לָהֶם כֵּרָה גְדוֹלָה וַיֹּאכְלוּ וַיִּשְׁתּוּ וַיְשַׁלְּחֵם וַיֵּלְכוּ אֶל־אֲדֹנֵיהֶם וְלֹא־יָסְפוּ עוֹד גְּדוּדֵי אֲרָם לָבוֹא בְּאֶרֶץ יִשְׂרָאֵל פ

וַיֹּאמֶר אַל־יוֹשִׁעֵךְ יְהוָה מֵאַיִן אוֹשִׁיעֵךְ הֲמִן־הַגֹּרֶן אוֹ מִן־הַיָּקֶב

 6:27 waYomer al-yôshiëkh' y'hwäh mëayin ôshiyëkh' hámin-haGoren ô min-haYäqev

 6:27 And he said, 559 z8799 If Yähwè יָהוֶה 3068 do not x408 help 3467 z8686 thee, whence 370 x4480 shall I help 3467 z8686 thee? out of x4480 the barnfloor, 1637 or x176 out of x4480 the winepress? 3342

וַיֹּאמֶר־לָהּ הַמֶּלֶךְ מַה־לָּךְ וַתֹּאמֶר הָאִשָּׁה הַזֹּאת אָמְרָה אֵלַי תְּנִי אֶת־בְּנֵךְ וְנֹאכְלֶנּוּ הַיּוֹם וְאֶת־בְּנִי נֹאכַל מָחָר
