Jeremiah 33

1 God promiseth to the captivity a gracious return, 9 a joyful state, 12 a settled government, 15 Christ the Branch of righteousness, 17 a continuance of kingdom and priesthood, 20 and a stability of a blessed seed.

 33:1 Then the word 1697 of the LORD 3068 came 1961 to Jeremiah 3414 the second 8145 time 8145, while he was still 5750 confined 6113 in the court 2691a of the guard 4307, saying 559,

 33:2 “Thus 3541 says 559 the LORD 3068 who made 6213a [the earth], the LORD 3068 who formed 3335 it to establish 3559 it, the LORD 3068 is His name 8034,

 33:3 ‘Call 7121 to Me and I will answer 6030a you, and I will tell 5046 you great 1419 and mighty 1219 things 1219, which you do not know 3045.’

 33:4 “For thus 3541 says 559 the LORD 3068 God 430 of Israel 3478 concerning 5921 the houses 1004 of this 384 city 5892b, and concerning 5921 the houses 1004 of the kings 4428 of Judah 3063 which are broken 5422 down 5422 [to make a defense] against 413 the siege 5550 ramps 5550 and against 413 the sword 2719,

 33:5 ‘While [they] are coming 935 to fight 3898a with the Chaldeans 3778 and to fill 4390 them with the corpses 6297 of men 120 whom 834 I have slain 5221 in My anger 639 and in My wrath 2534, and I have hidden 5641 My face 6440 from this 384 city 5892b because 5921 of all 3605 their wickedness 7463a:

 33:6 ‘Behold 2009, I will bring 5927 to it health 724 and healing 4832, and I will heal 7495 them; and I will reveal 1540 to them an abundance 6283 of peace 7965 and truth 571.

 33:7 ‘I will restore 7725 the fortunes 7622 of Judah 3063 and the fortunes 7622 of Israel 3478 and will rebuild 1129 them as they were at first 7223.

 33:8 ‘I will cleanse 2891 them from all 3605 their iniquity 5771 by which 834 they have sinned 2398 against Me, and I will pardon 5545 all 3605 their iniquities 5771 by which 834 they have sinned 2398 against Me and by which 834 they have transgressed 6586 against Me.

 33:9 ‘It will be to Me a name 8034 of joy 8342, praise 8416 and glory 8597 before all 3605 the nations 1471 of the earth 776 which 834 will hear 8085 of all 3605 the good 2899b that I do 6213a for them, and they will fear 6342 and tremble 7264 because 5921 of all 3605 the good 2899b and all 3605 the peace 7965 that I make 6213a for it.’

 33:10 ¶ “Thus 3541 says 559 the LORD 3068, ‘Yet 5750 again 5750 there will be heard 8085 in this 2088 place 4725, of which 834 you say 559, “It is a waste 2720b, without 369 man 120 and without 369 beast 929,” [that is], in the cities 5892b of Judah 3063 and in the streets 2351 of Jerusalem 3389 that are desolate 8074, without 369 man 120 and without 369 inhabitant 3427 and without 369 beast 929,

 33:11 the voice 6963 of joy 8342 and the voice 6963 of gladness 8057, the voice 6963 of the bridegroom 2860a and the voice 6963 of the bride 3618, the voice 6963 of those who say 559, “Give 3034 thanks 3034 to the LORD 3068 of hosts 6635, For the LORD 3068 is good 2896a, For His lovingkindness 2617a is everlasting 5769”; [and of those] who bring 935 a thank 8426 offering 8426 into the house 1004 of the LORD 3068. For I will restore 7725 the fortunes 7622 of the land 776 as they were at first 7223,’ says 559 the LORD 3068.

 33:12 ¶ “Thus 3541 says 559 the LORD 3068 of hosts 6635, ‘There will again 5750 be in this 2088 place 4725 which is waste 2720b, without 4480 369 man 120 or beast 929, and in all 3605 its cities 5892b, a habitation 5116a of shepherds 7462a who rest 7257 their flocks 6629.

 33:13 ‘In the cities 5892b of the hill 2022 country 2022, in the cities 5892b of the lowland 8219, in the cities 5892b of the Negev 5045, in the land 776 of Benjamin 1144, in the environs 5439 of Jerusalem 3389 and in the cities 5892b of Judah 3063, the flocks 6629 will again 5750 pass 5674a under 5921 the hands 3027 of the one who numbers 4487 them,’ says 559 the LORD 3068.

 33:14 ¶ ‘Behold 2009, days 3117 are coming 935,’ declares 5002 the LORD 3068, ‘when I will fulfill 6965 the good 2896a word 1697 which 834 I have spoken 1696 concerning 413 the house 1004 of Israel 3478 and the house 1004 of Judah 3063.

 33:15 ‘In those 1992a days 3117 and at that time 6256 I will cause a righteous 6666 Branch 6780 of David 1732 to spring 6779 forth 6779; and He shall execute 6213a justice 4941 and righteousness 6666 on the earth 776.

 33:16 ‘In those 1992a days 3117 Judah 3063 will be saved 3467 and Jerusalem 3389 will dwell 7931 in safety 983; and this 2088 is [the name] by which 834 she will be called 7121: the LORD 3068 is our righteousness 6664.’

 33:17 “For thus 3541 says 559 the LORD 3068, ‘David 1732 shall never 3808 lack 3772 a man 376 to sit 3427 on the throne 3678 of the house 1004 of Israel 3478;

 33:18 and the Levitical 3881 priests 3548 shall never 3808 lack 3772 a man 376 before 4480 6440 Me to offer 5927 burnt 5930a offerings 5930a, to burn 6999 grain offerings 4503 and to prepare 6213a sacrifices 2077 continually 3605 3117.’”

 33:19 ¶ The word 1697 of the LORD 3068 came 1961 to Jeremiah 3414, saying 559,

 33:20 “Thus 3541 says 559 the LORD 3068, ‘If 518 you can break 6565a My covenant 1285 for the day 3117 and My covenant 1285 for the night 3915, so that day 3119 and night 3915 will not be at their appointed 6256 time 6256,

 33:21 then My covenant 1285 may also 1571 be broken 6565a with David 1732 My servant 5650 so that he will not have 1961 a son 1121 to reign 4427a on his throne 3678, and with the Levitical 3881 priests 3548, My ministers 8334.

 33:22 ‘As the host 6635 of heaven 8064 cannot 3808 be counted 5608 and the sand 2344 of the sea 3220 cannot 3808 be measured 4058, so 3651 I will multiply 7235a the descendants 2233 of David 1732 My servant 5650 and the Levites 3881 who minister 8334 to Me.’”

 33:23 ¶ And the word 1697 of the LORD 3068 came 1961 to Jeremiah 3414, saying 559,

 33:24 “Have you not observed 7200 what 4100 this 2088 people 5971a have spoken 1696, saying 559, ‘The two 8147 families 4940 which 834 the LORD 3068 chose 977, He has rejected 3988a them’? Thus they despise 5006 My people 5971a, no 4480 longer 5750 are they as a nation 1471 in their sight 6440.

 33:25 “Thus 3541 says 559 the LORD 3068, ‘If 518 My covenant 1285 [for] day 3119 and night 3915 [stand] not, [and] the fixed 2708 patterns 2708 of heaven 8064 and earth 776 I have not established 7760,

 33:26 then 1571 I would reject 3988a the descendants 2233 of Jacob 3290 and David 1732 My servant 5650, not taking 3947 from his descendants 2233 rulers 4910 over 413 the descendants 2233 of Abraham 85, Isaac 3327 and Jacob 3290. But I will restore 7725 their fortunes 7622 and will have 7355 mercy 7355 on them.’”
