וַיִּקַּח חָנוּן אֶת־עַבְדֵי דָוִד וַיְגַלַּח אֶת־חֲצִי זְקָנָם וַיִּכְרֹת אֶת־מַדְוֵיהֶם בַּחֵצִי עַד שְׁתוֹתֵיהֶם וַיְשַׁלְּחֵם

 10:4 Wherefore Çänûn חָנוּן 2586 took 3947 z8799 Däwiđ's דָּוִד 1732 x853 servants, 5650 and shaved off 1548 z8762 the x853 one half 2677 of their beards, 2206 and cut off 3772 z8799 x853 their garments 4063 in the middle, 2677 [even] to x5704 their buttocks, 8357 and sent them away. 7971 z8762

וַיַּגִּדוּ לְדָוִד וַיִּשְׁלַח לִקְרָאתָם כִּי־הָיוּ הָאֲנָשִׁים נִכְלָמִים מְאֹד וַיֹּאמֶר הַמֶּלֶךְ שְׁבוּ בִירֵחוֹ עַד־יְצַמַּח זְקַנְכֶם וְשַׁבְתֶּם

 10:8 And the children 1121 of `Ammôn עַמּוֹן 5983 came out, 3318 z8799 and put the battle 4421 in array 6186 z8799 at the entering x6607 in y6607 of the gate: 8179 and the ´Árammîm אֲרַמִּים 758 of Xôvä´ צוֹבָא, 6678 and of Ræçöv רְחֹב, 7340 and ´Îš Ţôv אִישׁ־טוֹב, 382 and Ma`áȼà מַעֲכָה, 4601 [were] by themselves 905 in the field. 7704

וַיַּרְא יוֹאָב כִּי־הָיְתָה אֵלָיו פְּנֵי הַמִּלְחָמָה מִפָּנִים וּמֵאָחוֹר וַיִּבְחַר מִכֹּל בְּחוּרֵי *בְּיִשְׂרָאֵל [יִשְׂרָאֵל] וַיַּעֲרֹךְ לִקְרַאת אֲרָם

וַיֹּאמֶר אִם־תֶּחֱזַק אֲרָם מִמֶּנִּי וְהָיִתָה לִּי לִישׁוּעָה וְאִם־בְּנֵי עַמּוֹן יֶחֱזְקוּ מִמְּךָ וְהָלַכְתִּי לְהוֹשִׁיעַ לָךְ

 10:11 waYomer im-Techézaq áräm miMeNiy w'häyitäh Liy liyshûäh w'im-B'nëy aMôn yechéz'qû miM'khä w'hälakh'Tiy l'hôshiyª läkh'

 10:11 And he said, 559 z8799 If x518 the ´Árammîm אֲרַמִּים 758 be too strong 2388 z8799 for x4480 me, then thou shalt x1961 help 3444 me: but if x518 the children 1121 of `Ammôn עַמּוֹן 5983 be too strong 2388 z8799 for x4480 thee, then I will come 1980 z8804 and help 3467 z8687 thee.

חֲזַק וְנִתְחַזַּק בְּעַד־עַמֵּנוּ וּבְעַד עָרֵי אֱלֹהֵינוּ וַיהוָה יַעֲשֶׂה הַטּוֹב בְּעֵינָיו

וַיִּגַּשׁ יוֹאָב וְהָעָם אֲשֶׁר עִמּוֹ לַמִּלְחָמָה בַּאֲרָם וַיָּנֻסוּ מִפָּנָיו

וּבְנֵי עַמּוֹן רָאוּ כִּי־נָס אֲרָם וַיָּנֻסוּ מִפְּנֵי אֲבִישַׁי וַיָּבֹאוּ הָעִיר וַיָּשָׁב יוֹאָב מֵעַל בְּנֵי עַמּוֹן וַיָּבֹא יְרוּשָׁלִָם

 10:14 And when the children 1121 of `Ammôn עַמּוֹן 5983 saw 7200 z8804 that x3588 the ´Árammîm אֲרַמִּים 758 were fled, 5127 z8804 then fled 5127 z8799 they also before 6440 x4480 ´Ávîšay אֲבִישַׁי, 52 and entered 935 z8799 into the city. 5892 So Yô´äv יוֹאָב 3097 returned 7725 z8799 from x4480 x5921 the children 1121 of `Ammôn עַמּוֹן, 5983 and came 935 z8799 to Yærûšälaim יְרוּשָׁלִַם. 3389

 10:16 And Háđađ`ezer הֲדַדעֶזֶר 1928 sent, 7971 z8799 and brought out 3318 z8686 x853 the ´Árammîm אֲרַמִּים 758 that x834 [were] beyond 5676 x4480 the river: 5104 and they came 935 z8799 to Çêläm חֵילָם; 2431 and Šôvaȼ שׁוֹבַך 7731 the captain 8269 of the host 6635 of Háđađ`ezer הֲדַדעֶזֶר 1928 [went] before 6440 them.

 10:18 And the ´Árammîm אֲרַמִּים 758 fled 5127 z8799 before 6440 x4480 Yiŝrä´ël יִשׂרָאֵל; 3478 and Däwiđ דָּוִד 1732 slew 2026 z8799 [the men of] seven 7651 hundred 3967 chariots 7393 of the ´Árammîm אֲרַמִּים, 758 x4480 and forty 705 thousand 505 horsemen, 6571 and smote 5221 z8689 Šôvaȼ שׁוֹבַך 7731 the captain 8269 of their host, 6635 who died 4191 z8799 there. x8033

 10:19 And when all x3605 the kings 4428 [that were] servants 5650 to Háđađ`ezer הֲדַדעֶזֶר 1928 saw 7200 z8799 that x3588 they were smitten 5062 z8738 before 6440 Yiŝrä´ël יִשׂרָאֵל, 3478 they made peace 7999 z8686 with x854 Yiŝrä´ël יִשׂרָאֵל, 3478 and served 5647 z8799 them.
