 9:1 ¶ Wisdom 2454 hath builded 1129 z8804 her house, 1004 she hath hewn out 2672 z8804 her seven 7651 pillars: 5982

טָבְחָה טִבְחָהּ מָסְכָה יֵינָהּ אַף עָרְכָה שֻׁלְחָנָהּ

 9:2 ţäv'chäh ţiv'chäH mäš'khäh yëynäH af är'khäh shul'chänäH

 9:2 She hath killed 2873 z8804 her beasts; 2874 she hath mingled 4537 z8804 her wine; 3196 she hath also x637 furnished 6186 z8804 her table. 7979

שָׁלְחָה נַעֲרֹתֶיהָ תִקְרָא עַל־גַּפֵּי מְרֹמֵי קָרֶת

מִי־פֶתִי יָסֻר הֵנָּה חֲסַר־לֵב אָמְרָה לּוֹ

לְכוּ לַחֲמוּ בְלַחֲמִי וּשְׁתוּ בְּיַיִן מָסָכְתִּי

 9:5 l'khû lachámû v'lachámiy ûsh'tû B'yayin mäšäkh'Tiy

עִזְבוּ פְתָאיִם וִחְיוּ וְאִשְׁרוּ בְּדֶרֶךְ בִּינָה

 9:6 iz'vû f'täyim wich'yû w'ish'rû B'derekh' Biynäh

 9:6 Forsake 5800 z8798 the foolish, 6612 and live; 2421 z8798 and go 833 z8798 in the way 1870 of understanding. 998

יֹסֵר לֵץ לֹקֵחַ לוֹ קָלוֹן וּמוֹכִיחַ לְרָשָׁע מוּמוֹ

 9:7 yošër lëtz loqëªch lô qälôn ûmôkhiyªch l'räshä mûmô

 9:7 He that reproveth 3256 z8802 a scorner 3887 z8801 getteth 3947 z8802 to himself shame: 7036 and he that rebuketh 3198 z8688 a wicked 7563 [man getteth] himself a blot. 3971

אַל־תּוֹכַח לֵץ פֶּן־יִשְׂנָאֶךָּ הוֹכַח לְחָכָם וְיֶאֱהָבֶךָּ

 9:8 al-Tôkhach lëtz Pen-yis'näeKä hôkhach l'chäkhäm w'yeéhäveKä

 9:8 Reprove 3198 z8686 not x408 a scorner, 3887 z8801 lest x6435 he hate 8130 z8799 thee: rebuke 3198 z8685 a wise man, 2450 and he will love 157 z8799 thee.

תֵּן לְחָכָם וְיֶחְכַּם־עוֹד הוֹדַע לְצַדִּיק וְיוֹסֶף לֶקַח פ

 9:9 Tën l'chäkhäm w'yech'Kam-ôd hôda l'tzaDiyq w'yôšef leqach f

 9:9 Give 5414 z8798 [instruction] to a wise 2450 [man], and he will be yet x5750 wiser: 2449 z8799 teach 3045 z8685 a just 6662 [man], and he will increase 3254 z8686 in learning. 3948

תְּחִלַּת חָכְמָה יִרְאַת יְהוָה וְדַעַת קְדֹשִׁים בִּינָה

 9:10 T'chiLat chäkh'mäh yir'at y'hwäh w'daat q'doshiym Biynäh

 9:10 The fear 3374 of Yähwè יָהוֶה 3068 [is] the beginning 8462 of wisdom: 2451 and the knowledge 1847 of the holy 6918 [is] understanding. 998

כִּי־בִי יִרְבּוּ יָמֶיךָ וְיוֹסִיפוּ לְּךָ שְׁנוֹת חַיִּים

 9:11 Kiy-viy yir'Bû yämeykhä w'yôšiyfû L'khä sh'nôt chaYiym

 9:11 For x3588 by me thy days 3117 shall be multiplied, 7235 z8799 and the years 8141 of thy life 2416 shall be increased. 3254 z8686

אִם־חָכַמְתָּ חָכַמְתָּ לָּךְ וְלַצְתָּ לְבַדְּךָ תִשָּׂא

 9:12 im-chäkham'Tä chäkham'Tä Läkh' w'latz'Tä l'vaD'khä tiSä

 9:12 If x518 thou be wise, 2449 z8804 thou shalt be wise 2449 z8804 for thyself: but [if] thou scornest, 3887 z8804 thou alone x905 shalt bear 5375 z8799 [it].

אֵשֶׁת כְּסִילוּת הֹמִיָּה פְּתַיּוּת וּבַל־יָדְעָה מָּה

 9:13 ëshet K'šiylût homiYäh P'taYût ûval-yäd'äh Mäh

 9:13 ¶ A foolish 3687 woman 802 [is] clamorous: 1993 z8802 [she is] simple, 6615 and y1077 knoweth 3045 z8804 nothing. 4100 x1077

וְיָשְׁבָה לְפֶתַח בֵּיתָהּ עַל־כִּסֵּא מְרֹמֵי קָרֶת

 9:14 w'yäsh'väh l'fetach BëytäH al-KiŠë m'romëy qäret

 9:14 For she sitteth 3427 z8804 at the door 6607 of her house, 1004 on x5921 a seat 3678 in the high places 4791 of the city, 7176

לִקְרֹא לְעֹבְרֵי־דָרֶךְ הַמְיַשְּׁרִים אֹרְחוֹתָם

 9:15 liq'ro l'ov'rëy-därekh' ham'yaSH'riym or'chôtäm

מִי־פֶתִי יָסֻר הֵנָּה וַחֲסַר־לֵב וְאָמְרָה לּוֹ

מַיִם־גְּנוּבִים יִמְתָּקוּ וְלֶחֶם סְתָרִים יִנְעָם

 9:17 mayim-G'nûviym yim'Täqû w'lechem š'täriym yin'äm

 9:17 Stolen 1589 z8803 waters 4325 are sweet, 4985 z8799 and bread 3899 [eaten] in secret 5643 is pleasant. 5276 z8799

וְלֹא־יָדַע כִּי־רְפָאִים שָׁם בְּעִמְקֵי שְׁאוֹל קְרֻאֶיהָ פ

 9:18 w'lo-yäda Kiy-r'fäiym shäm B'im'qëy sh'ôl q'rueyhä f

 9:18 But he knoweth 3045 z8804 not x3808 that x3588 the dead 7496 [are] there; x8033 [and that] her guests 7121 z8803 [are] in the depths y6012 x6011 of hell. 7585
