Τότε οὖν ἔλαβεν ὁ Πειλᾶτος τὸν Ἰησοῦν καὶ ἐμαστίγωσεν.
To-the-one-which-also accordingly it-had-taken, the-one a-Peilatos, to-the-one to-an-Iesous, and it-en-whipped.

 19:1 Τότε "To-the-one-which-also" οὖν "accordingly" ἔλαβεν "it-had-taken," ὁ "the-one" Πειλᾶτος "a-Peilatos," τὸν "to-the-one" Ἰησοῦν "to-an-Iesous," καὶ "and" ἐμαστίγωσεν. "it-en-whipped."

καὶ οἱ στρατιῶται πλέξαντες στέφανον ἐξ ἀκανθῶν ἐπέθηκαν αὐτοῦ τῇ κεφαλῇ, καὶ ἱμάτιον πορφυροῦν περιέβαλον αὐτόν,

 19:2 καὶ "And" οἱ "the-ones" στρατιῶται "amass-belongers" πλέξαντες "having-braided" στέφανον "to-a-wreath" ἐξ "out" ἀκανθῶν "of-thorns" ἐπέθηκαν "they-placed-upon" αὐτοῦ "of-it" τῇ "unto-the-one" κεφαλῇ, "unto-a-head," καὶ "and" ἱμάτιον "to-an-apparelet" πορφυροῦν "to-purpled" περιέβαλον "they-had-casted-about" αὐτόν, "to-it."

καὶ ἤρχοντο πρὸς αὐτὸν καὶ ἔλεγον Χαῖρε ὁ βασιλεὺς τῶν Ἰουδαίων: καὶ ἐδίδοσαν αὐτῷ ῥαπίσματα.

 19:3 καὶ "And" ἤρχοντο "they-were-coming" πρὸς "toward" αὐτὸν "to-it" καὶ "and" ἔλεγον "they-were-forthing," Χαῖρε "Thou-should-joy," ὁ "the-one" βασιλεὺς "a-ruler-of" τῶν "of-the-ones" Ἰουδαίων: "of-Iouda-belonged;" καὶ "and" ἐδίδοσαν "they-were-giving" αὐτῷ "unto-it" ῥαπίσματα. ὅτε οὖν εἶδον αὐτὸν οἱ ἀρχιερεῖς καὶ οἱ ὑπηρέται ἐκραύγασαν λέγοντες Σταύρωσον σταύρωσον. λέγει αὐτοῖς ὁ Πειλᾶτος Λάβετε αὐτὸν ὑμεῖς καὶ σταυρώσατε, ἐγὼ γὰρ οὐχ εὑρίσκω ἐν αὐτῷ αἰτίαν.

ἀπεκρίθησαν αὐτῷ οἱ Ἰουδαῖοι Ἡμεῖς νόμον ἔχομεν, καὶ κατὰ τὸν νόμον ὀφείλει ἀποθανεῖν, ὅτι υἱὸν θεοῦ ἑαυτὸν ἐποίησεν.

καὶ εἰσῆλθεν εἰς τὸ πραιτώριον πάλιν καὶ λέγει τῷ Ἰησοῦ Πόθεν εἶ σύ; ὁ δὲ Ἰησοῦς ἀπόκρισιν οὐκ ἔδωκεν αὐτῷ.

λέγει οὖν αὐτῷ ὁ Πειλᾶτος Ἐμοὶ οὐ λαλεῖς; οὐκ οἶδας ὅτι ἐξουσίαν ἔχω ἀπολῦσαί σε καὶ ἐξουσίαν ἔχω σταυρῶσαί σε;
It-fortheth accordingly unto-it, the-one a-Peilatos, Unto-ME not thou-speak-unto? Not thou-had-come-to-see to-which-a-one to-a-being-out-unto I-hold to-have-loosed-off to-thee and to-a-being-out-unto I-hold to-have-en-staked to-thee?

 19:10 λέγει "It-fortheth" οὖν "accordingly" αὐτῷ "unto-it," ὁ "the-one" Πειλᾶτος "a-Peilatos," Ἐμοὶ "Unto-ME" οὐ "not" λαλεῖς; "thou-speak-unto?" οὐκ "Not" οἶδας "thou-had-come-to-see" ὅτι "to-which-a-one" ἐξουσίαν "to-a-being-out-unto" ἔχω "I-hold" ἀπολῦσαί "to-have-loosed-off" σε "to-thee" καὶ "and" ἐξουσίαν "to-a-being-out-unto" ἔχω "I-hold" σταυρῶσαί "to-have-en-staked" σε; "to-thee?"

ἀπεκρίθη αὐτῷ Ἰησοῦς Οὐκ εἶχες ἐξουσίαν κατ' ἐμοῦ οὐδεμίαν εἰ μὴ ἦν δεδομένον σοι ἄνωθεν: διὰ τοῦτο ὁ παραδούς μέ σοι μείζονα ἁμαρτίαν ἔχει.

 19:11 ἀπεκρίθη "It-was-separated-off" αὐτῷ "unto-it" Ἰησοῦς "an-Iesous," Οὐκ "Not" εἶχες "thou-was-holding" ἐξουσίαν "to-a-being-out-unto" κατ' "down" ἐμοῦ "of-ME" οὐδεμίαν "to-not-moreover-one" εἰ "if" μὴ "lest" ἦν "it-was" δεδομένον "having-had-come-to-be-given" σοι "unto-thee" ἄνωθεν: "up-unto-which-from." διὰ "Through" τοῦτο "to-the-one-this" ὁ "the-one" παραδούς "having-had-given-beside" μέ "to-me" σοι "unto-thee" μείζονα "to-more-great" ἁμαρτίαν "to-an-un-adjusting-along-unto" ἔχει. ἐκ τούτου ὁ Πειλᾶτος ἐζήτει ἀπολῦσαι αὐτόν: οἱ δὲ Ἰουδαῖοι ἐκραύγασαν λέγοντες Ἐὰν τοῦτον ἀπολύσῃς, οὐκ εἶ φίλος τοῦ Καίσαρος: πᾶς ὁ βασιλέα ἑαυτὸν ποιῶν ἀντιλέγει τῷ Καίσαρι.

 19:12 ἐκ "Out" τούτου "of-the-one-this" ὁ "the-one" Πειλᾶτος "a-Peilatos" ἐζήτει "it-was-seeking-unto" ἀπολῦσαι "to-have-loosed-off" αὐτόν: "to-it;" οἱ "the-ones" δὲ "moreover" Ἰουδαῖοι "Iouda-belonged" ἐκραύγασαν "they-yelled-to" λέγοντες "forthing," Ἐὰν "If-ever" τοῦτον "to-the-one-this" ἀπολύσῃς, "thou-might-have-loosed-off," οὐκ "not" εἶ "thou-be" φίλος "cared" τοῦ "of-the-one" Καίσαρος: "of-a-Kaisar;" πᾶς "all" ὁ "the-one" βασιλέα "to-a-ruler-of" ἑαυτὸν "to-self" ποιῶν "doing-unto" ἀντιλέγει "it-ever-a-one-fortheth" τῷ "unto-the-one" Καίσαρι. Ὁ οὖν Πειλᾶτος ἀκούσας τῶν λόγων τούτων ἤγαγεν ἔξω τὸν Ἰησοῦν, καὶ ἐκάθισεν ἐπὶ βήματος εἰς τόπον λεγόμενον Λιθόστρωτον, Ἐβραϊστὶ δὲ Γαββαθά.

τοῦτον οὖν τὸν τίτλον πολλοὶ ἀνέγνωσαν τῶν Ἰουδαίων, ὅτι ἐγγὺς ἦν ὁ τόπος τῆς πόλεως ὅπου ἐσταυρώθη ὁ Ἰησοῦς: καὶ ἦν γεγραμμένον Ἐβραϊστί, Ῥωμαϊστί, Ἑλληνιστί.

ἔλεγον οὖν τῷ Πειλάτῳ οἱ ἀρχιερεῖς τῶν Ἰουδαίων Μὴ γράφε Ὁ βασιλεὺς τῶν Ἰουδαίων, ἀλλ' ὅτι ἐκεῖνος εἶπεν Βασιλεὺς τῶν Ἰουδαίων εἰμί.

ἐκεῖ οὖν διὰ τὴν παρασκευὴν τῶν Ἰουδαίων, ὅτι ἐγγὺς ἦν τὸ μνημεῖον, ἔθηκαν τὸν Ἰησοῦν.
