ΜΕΤΑ ΤΑΥΤΑ ἦν ἑορτὴ τῶν Ἰουδαίων, καὶ ἀνέβη Ἰησοῦς εἰς Ἰεροσόλυμα.
With to-the-ones-these it-was a-festival of-the-ones of-Iouda-belonged and it-had-stepped-up, an-Iesous, into to-a-Hierosoluma.

 5:1 ΜΕΤΑ "With" ΤΑΥΤΑ "to-the-ones-these" ἦν "it-was" ἑορτὴ "a-festival" τῶν "of-the-ones" Ἰουδαίων, "of-Iouda-belonged" καὶ "and" ἀνέβη "it-had-stepped-up," Ἰησοῦς "an-Iesous," εἰς "into" Ἰεροσόλυμα. "to-a-Hierosoluma."

Ἔστιν δὲ ἐν τοῖς Ἰεροσολύμοις ἐπὶ τῇ προβατικῇ κολυμβήθρα ἡ ἐπιλεγομένη Ἐβραϊστὶ Βηθζαθά, πέντε στοὰς ἔχουσα:
It-be moreover in unto-the-ones unto-Hierosoluma' upon unto-the-one unto-stepped-before-belonged-of a-swimming-structure, the-one being-forthed-upon unto-Hebrew a-Bethzatha, to-five to-standnesses holding.

 5:2 Ἔστιν "It-be" δὲ "moreover" ἐν "in" τοῖς "unto-the-ones" Ἰεροσολύμοις "unto-Hierosoluma'" ἐπὶ "upon" τῇ "unto-the-one" προβατικῇ "unto-stepped-before-belonged-of" κολυμβήθρα "a-swimming-structure," ἡ "the-one" ἐπιλεγομένη "being-forthed-upon" Ἐβραϊστὶ "unto-Hebrew" Βηθζαθά, "a-Bethzatha," πέντε "to-five" στοὰς "to-standnesses" ἔχουσα: "holding."

ἐν ταύταις κατέκειτο πλῆθος τῶν ἀσθενούντων, τυφλῶν, χωλῶν, ξηρῶν.
In unto-the-ones-these it-was-situating-down a-repletion of-the-ones of-un-vigoring-unto, of-blind, of-lame, of-dried.

ἦν δέ τις ἄνθρωπος ἐκεῖ τριάκοντα [καὶ] ὀκτὼ ἔτη ἔχων ἐν τῇ ἀσθενείᾳ αὐτοῦ:
It-was moreover a-one a-mankind thither to-thirty [and] to-eight to-years holding in unto-the-one unto-an-un-vigoring-of of-it;

to-the-one-this having-had-seen, the-one a-Iesous, to-situating-down, and having-had-acquainted to-which-a-one to-much which-then to-an-interim it-holdeth, it-fortheth unto-it, Thou-determine healthed to-have-had-became?

 5:6 τοῦτον "to-the-one-this" ἰδὼν "having-had-seen," ὁ "the-one" Ἰησοῦς "a-Iesous," κατακείμενον, "to-situating-down," καὶ "and" γνοὺς "having-had-acquainted" ὅτι "to-which-a-one" πολὺν "to-much" ἤδη "which-then" χρόνον "to-an-interim" ἔχει, "it-holdeth," λέγει "it-fortheth" αὐτῷ "unto-it," Θέλεις "Thou-determine" ὑγιὴς "healthed" γενέσθαι; "to-have-had-became?"

ἀπεκρίθη αὐτῷ ὁ ἀσθενῶν Κύριε, ἄνθρωπον οὐκ ἔχω ἵνα ὅταν ταραχθῇ τὸ ὕδωρ βάλῃ με εἰς τὴν κολυμβήθραν: ἐν ᾧ δὲ ἔρχομαι ἐγὼ ἄλλος πρὸ ἐμοῦ καταβαίνει.
It-was-separated-off unto-it the-one un-vigoring-unto, Authority-belonged, to-a-mankind not I-hold so which-also-ever it-might-have-been-stirred the-one a-water it-might-have-had-casted to-me into to-the-one to-a-swimming-structure; in unto-which moreover I-come I, other before of-ME it-steppeth-down.

 5:7 ἀπεκρίθη "It-was-separated-off" αὐτῷ "unto-it" ὁ "the-one" ἀσθενῶν "un-vigoring-unto," Κύριε, "Authority-belonged," ἄνθρωπον "to-a-mankind" οὐκ "not" ἔχω "I-hold" ἵνα "so" ὅταν "which-also-ever" ταραχθῇ "it-might-have-been-stirred" τὸ "the-one" ὕδωρ "a-water" βάλῃ "it-might-have-had-casted" με "to-me" εἰς "into" τὴν "to-the-one" κολυμβήθραν: "to-a-swimming-structure;" ἐν "in" ᾧ "unto-which" δὲ "moreover" ἔρχομαι "I-come" ἐγὼ "I," ἄλλος "other" πρὸ "before" ἐμοῦ "of-ME" καταβαίνει. It-fortheth unto-it, the-one an-Iesous, Thou-should-rouse, thou-should-have-lifted to-the-one to-a-mattress of-thee and thou-should-tread-about-unto.

καὶ εὐθέως ἐγένετο ὑγιὴς ὁ ἄνθρωπος, καὶ ἦρε τὸν κράβαττον αὐτοῦ καὶ περιεπάτει. Ἦν δὲ σάββατον ἐν ἐκείνῃ τῇ ἡμέρᾳ.

 5:9 καὶ "And" εὐθέως "unto-straight" ἐγένετο "it-had-became" ὑγιὴς "healthed" ὁ "the-one" ἄνθρωπος, "a-mankind," καὶ "and" ἦρε "it-lifted" τὸν "to-the-one" κράβαττον "to-a-mattress" αὐτοῦ "of-it" καὶ "and" περιεπάτει. ἔλεγον οὖν οἱ Ἰουδαῖοι τῷ τεθεραπευμένῳ Σάββατόν ἐστιν, καὶ οὐκ ἔξεστίν σοι ἆραι τὸν κράβαττον.
They-were-forthing accordingly, the-ones Iouda-belonged, unto-the-one unto-having-had-come-to-be-ministered-of, A-sabbath it-be and not it-be-out unto-thee to-have-lifted to-the-one to-a-mattress.

 5:10 ἔλεγον "They-were-forthing" οὖν "accordingly," οἱ "the-ones" Ἰουδαῖοι "Iouda-belonged," τῷ "unto-the-one" τεθεραπευμένῳ "unto-having-had-come-to-be-ministered-of," Σάββατόν "A-sabbath" ἐστιν, "it-be" καὶ "and" οὐκ "not" ἔξεστίν "it-be-out" σοι "unto-thee" ἆραι "to-have-lifted" τὸν "to-the-one" κράβαττον. "to-a-mattress."

ὃς δὲ ἀπεκρίθη αὐτοῖς Ὁ ποιήσας με ὑγιῆ ἐκεῖνός μοι εἶπεν Ἆρον τὸν κράβαττόν σου καὶ περιπάτει.
Which moreover it-was-separated-off unto-them, The-one having-done-unto to-me to-healthed, the-one-thither unto-me it-had-said, Thou-should-have-lifted to-the-one to-a-mattress of-thee and thou-should-tread-about-unto.

 5:11 ὃς "Which" δὲ "moreover" ἀπεκρίθη "it-was-separated-off" αὐτοῖς "unto-them," Ὁ "The-one" ποιήσας "having-done-unto" με "to-me" ὑγιῆ "to-healthed," ἐκεῖνός "the-one-thither" μοι "unto-me" εἶπεν "it-had-said," Ἆρον "Thou-should-have-lifted" τὸν "to-the-one" κράβαττόν "to-a-mattress" σου "of-thee" καὶ "and" περιπάτει. "thou-should-tread-about-unto."

ἠρώτησαν αὐτόν Τίς ἐστιν ὁ ἄνθρωπος ὁ εἰπών σοι Ἆρον καὶ περιπάτει;
They-entreated-unto to-it, What-one it-be the-one a-mankind the-one having-had-said unto-thee, Thou-should-have-lifted and thou-should-tread-about-unto?

 5:12 ἠρώτησαν "They-entreated-unto" αὐτόν "to-it," Τίς "What-one" ἐστιν "it-be" ὁ "the-one" ἄνθρωπος "a-mankind" ὁ "the-one" εἰπών "having-had-said" σοι "unto-thee," Ἆρον "Thou-should-have-lifted" καὶ "and" περιπάτει; "thou-should-tread-about-unto?"

ὁ δὲ ἰαθεὶς οὐκ ᾔδει τίς ἐστιν, ὁ γὰρ Ἰησοῦς ἐξένευσεν ὄχλου ὄντος ἐν τῷ τόπῳ.
The-one moreover having-been-cured-unto not it-had-come-to-have-seen what-one it-be; the-one therefore an-Iesous it-nodded-out of-a-crowd of-being in unto-the-one unto-an-occasion.

 5:13 ὁ "The-one" δὲ "moreover" ἰαθεὶς "having-been-cured-unto" οὐκ "not" ᾔδει "it-had-come-to-have-seen" τίς "what-one" ἐστιν, "it-be;" ὁ "the-one" γὰρ "therefore" Ἰησοῦς "an-Iesous" ἐξένευσεν "it-nodded-out" ὄχλου "of-a-crowd" ὄντος "of-being" ἐν "in" τῷ "unto-the-one" τόπῳ. "unto-an-occasion."

Μετὰ ταῦτα εὑρίσκει αὐτὸν [ὁ] Ἰησοῦς ἐν τῷ ἱερῷ καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ Ἴδε ὑγιὴς γέγονας: μηκέτι ἁμάρτανε, ἵνα μὴ χεῖρόν σοί τι γένηται.
With to-the-ones-these it-findeth to-it, [the-one] an-Iesous, in unto-the-one unto-sacred, and it-had-said unto-it, Thou-should-have-had-seen, healthed thou-hath-had-come-to-become; lest-if-to-a-one thou-should-un-adjust-along so lest more-disrupted unto-THEE a-one it-might-have-had-became.

 5:14 Μετὰ "With" ταῦτα "to-the-ones-these" εὑρίσκει "it-findeth" αὐτὸν "to-it," [ὁ] "[the-one]" Ἰησοῦς "an-Iesous," ἐν "in" τῷ "unto-the-one" ἱερῷ "unto-sacred," καὶ "and" εἶπεν "it-had-said" αὐτῷ "unto-it," Ἴδε "Thou-should-have-had-seen," ὑγιὴς "healthed" γέγονας: "thou-hath-had-come-to-become;" μηκέτι "lest-if-to-a-one" ἁμάρτανε, "thou-should-un-adjust-along" ἵνα "so" μὴ "lest" χεῖρόν "more-disrupted" σοί "unto-THEE" τι "a-one" γένηται.  5:16 καὶ "And" διὰ "through" τοῦτο "to-the-one-this" ἐδίωκον "they-were-pursuing," οἱ "the-ones" Ἰουδαῖοι "Iouda-belonged," τὸν "to-the-one" Ἰησοῦν "to-an-Iesous," ὅτι "to-which-a-one" ταῦτα "to-the-one-these" ἐποίει "it-was-doing-unto" ἐν "in" σαββάτῳ. "unto-a-sabbath."

ὁ δὲ ἀπεκρίνατο αὐτοῖς Ὁ πατήρ μου ἕως ἄρτι ἐργάζεται, κἀγὼ ἐργάζομαι.

 5:17 ὁ "The-one" δὲ "moreover" ἀπεκρίνατο "it-separated-off" αὐτοῖς "unto-them," Ὁ "The-one" πατήρ "a-Father" μου "of-me" ἕως "unto-if-which" ἄρτι "unto-adjusted" ἐργάζεται, "it-worketh-to," κἀγὼ "and-I" ἐργάζομαι. "I-work-to."

διὰ τοῦτο οὖν μᾶλλον ἐζήτουν αὐτὸν οἱ Ἰουδαῖοι ἀποκτεῖναι ὅτι οὐ μόνον ἔλυε τὸ σάββατον ἀλλὰ καὶ πατέρα ἴδιον ἔλεγε τὸν θεόν, ἴσον ἑαυτὸν ποιῶν τῷ θεῷ.

 5:18 διὰ "Through" τοῦτο "to-the-one-this" οὖν "accordingly" μᾶλλον "more-such" ἐζήτουν "they-were-seeking-unto" αὐτὸν "to-it," οἱ "the-ones" Ἰουδαῖοι "Iouda-belonged," ἀποκτεῖναι "to-have-killed-off," ὅτι "to-which-a-one" οὐ "not" μόνον "to-alone" ἔλυε "it-was-loosing" τὸ "to-the-one" σάββατον "to-a-sabbath," ἀλλὰ "other" καὶ "and" πατέρα "to-a-father" ἴδιον "to-private-belonged" ἔλεγε "it-was-forthing" τὸν "to-the-one" θεόν, "to-a-Deity," ἴσον "to-samed" ἑαυτὸν "to-self" ποιῶν "doing-unto" τῷ "unto-the-one" θεῷ. Ἀπεκρίνατο οὖν [ὁ Ἰησοῦς] καὶ ἔλεγεν αὐτοῖς Ἀμὴν ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν, οὐ δύναται ὁ υἱὸς ποιεῖν ἀφ' ἑαυτοῦ οὐδὲν ἂν μή τι βλέπῃ τὸν πατέρα ποιοῦντα: ἃ γὰρ ἂν ἐκεῖνος ποιῇ, ταῦτα καὶ ὁ υἱὸς ὁμοίως ποιεῖ.

ὁ γὰρ πατὴρ φιλεῖ τὸν υἱὸν καὶ πάντα δείκνυσιν αὐτῷ ἃ αὐτὸς ποιεῖ, καὶ μείζονα τούτων δείξει αὐτῷ ἔργα, ἵνα ὑμεῖς θαυμάζητε.
The-one therefore a-Father it-careth-unto to-the-one to-a-Son and to-all it-showeth unto-it to-which it it-doeth-unto, and to-more-great of-the-ones-these it-shall-show unto-it to-works, so ye ye-might-marvel-to.

 5:20 ὁ "The-one" γὰρ "therefore" πατὴρ "a-Father" φιλεῖ "it-careth-unto" τὸν "to-the-one" υἱὸν "to-a-Son" καὶ "and" πάντα "to-all" δείκνυσιν "it-showeth" αὐτῷ "unto-it" ἃ "to-which" αὐτὸς "it" ποιεῖ, "it-doeth-unto," καὶ "and" μείζονα "to-more-great" τούτων "of-the-ones-these" δείξει "it-shall-show" αὐτῷ "unto-it" ἔργα, "to-works," ἵνα "so" ὑμεῖς "ye" θαυμάζητε. "ye-might-marvel-to."

ὥσπερ γὰρ ὁ πατὴρ ἐγείρει τοὺς νεκροὺς καὶ ζωοποιεῖ, οὕτως καὶ ὁ υἱὸς οὓς θέλει ζωοποιεῖ.
As-very therefore the-one a-Father it-rouseth to-the-ones to-en-deaded and it-life-doeth-unto, unto-the-one-this and the-one a-Son to-which it-determineth it-life-doeth-unto.

 5:21 ὥσπερ "As-very" γὰρ "therefore" ὁ "the-one" πατὴρ "a-Father" ἐγείρει "it-rouseth" τοὺς "to-the-ones" νεκροὺς "to-en-deaded" καὶ "and" ζωοποιεῖ, "it-life-doeth-unto," οὕτως "unto-the-one-this" καὶ "and" ὁ "the-one" υἱὸς "a-Son" οὓς "to-which" θέλει "it-determineth" ζωοποιεῖ. "it-life-doeth-unto."

οὐδὲ γὰρ ὁ πατὴρ κρίνει οὐδένα, ἀλλὰ τὴν κρίσιν πᾶσαν δέδωκεν τῷ υἱῷ,
Not-moreover therefore the-one a-Father it-separateth to-not-moreover-one, other to-the-one to-a-separating to-all it-had-come-to-give unto-the-one unto-a-Son,

 5:22 οὐδὲ "Not-moreover" γὰρ "therefore" ὁ "the-one" πατὴρ "a-Father" κρίνει "it-separateth" οὐδένα, "to-not-moreover-one," ἀλλὰ "other" τὴν "to-the-one" κρίσιν "to-a-separating" πᾶσαν "to-all" δέδωκεν "it-had-come-to-give" τῷ "unto-the-one" υἱῷ, "unto-a-Son,"

ἵνα πάντες τιμῶσι τὸν υἱὸν καθὼς τιμῶσι τὸν πατέρα. ὁ μὴ τιμῶν τὸν υἱὸν οὐ τιμᾷ τὸν πατέρα τὸν πέμψαντα αὐτόν.
so all they-might-valuate-unto to-the-one to-a-Son down-as they-might-valuate-unto to-the-one to-a-Father. The-one lest valuating-unto to-the-one to-a-Son not it-valuateth-unto to-the-one to-a-Father to-the-one to-having-dispatched to-it.

 5:23 ἵνα "so" πάντες "all" τιμῶσι "they-might-valuate-unto" τὸν "to-the-one" υἱὸν "to-a-Son" καθὼς "down-as" τιμῶσι "they-might-valuate-unto" τὸν "to-the-one" πατέρα. Ἀμὴν ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν ὅτι ὁ τὸν λόγον μου ἀκούων καὶ πιστεύων τῷ πέμψαντί με ἔχει ζωὴν αἰώνιον, καὶ εἰς κρίσιν οὐκ ἔρχεται ἀλλὰ μεταβέβηκεν ἐκ τοῦ θανάτου εἰς τὴν ζωήν.

ἀμὴν ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν ὅτι ἔρχεται ὥρα καὶ νῦν ἐστὶν ὅτε οἱ νεκροὶ ἀκούσουσιν τῆς φωνῆς τοῦ υἱοῦ τοῦ θεοῦ καὶ οἱ ἀκούσαντες ζήσουσιν.

μὴ θαυμάζετε τοῦτο, ὅτι ἔρχεται ὥρα ἐν ᾗ πάντες οἱ ἐν τοῖς μνημείοις ἀκούσουσιν τῆς φωνῆς αὐτοῦ

ἐκεῖνος ἦν ὁ λύχνος ὁ καιόμενος καὶ φαίνων, ὑμεῖς δὲ ἠθελήσατε ἀγαλλιαθῆναι πρὸς ὥραν ἐν τῷ φωτὶ αὐτοῦ:

μὴ δοκεῖτε ὅτι ἐγὼ κατηγορήσω ὑμῶν πρὸς τὸν πατέρα: ἔστιν ὁ κατηγορῶν ὑμῶν Μωυσῆς, εἰς ὃν ὑμεῖς ἠλπίκατε.

εἰ γὰρ ἐπιστεύετε Μωυσεῖ, ἐπιστεύετε ἂν ἐμοί, περὶ γὰρ ἐμοῦ ἐκεῖνος ἔγραψεν.
If therefore ye-were-trusting-of unto-a-Mouseus, ye-were-trusting-of ever unto-ME; about therefore of-ME the-one-thither it-scribed.

 5:46 εἰ "If" γὰρ "therefore" ἐπιστεύετε "ye-were-trusting-of" Μωυσεῖ, "unto-a-Mouseus," ἐπιστεύετε "ye-were-trusting-of" ἂν "ever" ἐμοί, "unto-ME;" περὶ "about" γὰρ "therefore" ἐμοῦ "of-ME" ἐκεῖνος "the-one-thither" ἔγραψεν. "it-scribed."

εἰ δὲ τοῖς ἐκείνου γράμμασιν οὐ πιστεύετε, πῶς τοῖς ἐμοῖς ῥήμασιν πιστεύσετε;
