וַיִּסְעוּ מִשָּׁם מִמִּשְׁפַּחַת הַדָּנִי מִצָּרְעָה וּמֵאֶשְׁתָּאֹל שֵׁשׁ־מֵאוֹת אִישׁ חָגוּר כְּלֵי מִלְחָמָה

וַיָּסוּרוּ שָׁמָּה וַיָּבֹאוּ אֶל־בֵּית־הַנַּעַר הַלֵּוִי בֵּית מִיכָה וַיִּשְׁאֲלוּ־לוֹ לְשָׁלוֹם

וְשֵׁשׁ־מֵאוֹת אִישׁ חֲגוּרִים כְּלֵי מִלְחַמְתָּם נִצָּבִים פֶּתַח הַשָּׁעַר אֲשֶׁר מִבְּנֵי־דָן

 18:17 And the five 2568 men y582 x376 that went y1980 z8802 x5927 to spy out 7270 z8763 x853 the land 776 went up, 5927 z8799 [and] came in 935 z8804 thither, x8033 [and] took 3947 z8804 x853 the graven image, 6459 and the ephod, 646 and the teraphim, 8655 and the molten image: 4541 and the priest 3548 stood 5324 z8737 in the entering 6607 of the gate 8179 with the six 8337 hundred 3967 men 376 [that were] appointed 2296 z8803 with weapons 3627 of war. 4421

וְאֵלֶּה בָּאוּ בֵּית מִיכָה וַיִּקְחוּ אֶת־פֶּסֶל הָאֵפוֹד וְאֶת־הַתְּרָפִים וְאֶת־הַמַּסֵּכָה וַיֹּאמֶר אֲלֵיהֶם הַכֹּהֵן מָה אַתֶּם עֹשִׂים

וַיֹּאמְרוּ לוֹ הַחֲרֵשׁ שִׂים־יָדְךָ עַל־פִּיךָ וְלֵךְ עִמָּנוּ וֶהְיֵה־לָנוּ לְאָב וּלְכֹהֵן הֲטוֹב הֱיוֹתְךָ כֹהֵן לְבֵית אִישׁ אֶחָד אוֹ הֱיוֹתְךָ כֹהֵן לְשֵׁבֶט וּלְמִשְׁפָּחָה בְּיִשְׂרָאֵל

 18:19 And they said 559 z8799 unto him, Hold thy peace, 2790 z8685 lay 7760 z8798 thine hand 3027 upon x5921 thy mouth, 6310 and go y3212 z8798 x1980 with x5973 us, and be x1961 to us y1961 z8800 a father 1 and a priest: 3548 [is it] better 2896 for thee to be x1961 a priest 3548 unto the house 1004 of one 259 man, 376 or x176 that thou be x1961 a priest 3548 unto a tribe 7626 and a family 4940 in Yiŝrä´ël יִשׂרָאֵל? 3478

וַיִּיטַב לֵב הַכֹּהֵן וַיִּקַּח אֶת־הָאֵפוֹד וְאֶת־הַתְּרָפִים וְאֶת־הַפָּסֶל וַיָּבֹא בְּקֶרֶב הָעָם

וַיִּפְנוּ וַיֵּלֵכוּ וַיָּשִׂימוּ אֶת־הַטַּף וְאֶת־הַמִּקְנֶה וְאֶת־הַכְּבוּדָּה לִפְנֵיהֶם

הֵמָּה הִרְחִיקוּ מִבֵּית מִיכָה וְהָאֲנָשִׁים אֲשֶׁר בַּבָּתִּים אֲשֶׁר עִם־בֵּית מִיכָה נִזְעֲקוּ וַיַּדְבִּיקוּ אֶת־בְּנֵי־דָן

וַיִּקְרְאוּ אֶל־בְּנֵי־דָן וַיַּסֵּבּוּ פְּנֵיהֶם וַיֹּאמְרוּ לְמִיכָה מַה־לְּךָ כִּי נִזְעָקְתָּ

וַיֹּאמֶר אֶת־אֱלֹהַי אֲשֶׁר־עָשִׂיתִי לְקַחְתֶּם וְאֶת־הַכֹּהֵן וַתֵּלְכוּ וּמַה־לִּי עוֹד וּמַה־זֶּה תֹּאמְרוּ אֵלַי מַה־לָּךְ

וַיֹּאמְרוּ אֵלָיו בְּנֵי־דָן אַל־תַּשְׁמַע קוֹלְךָ עִמָּנוּ פֶּן־יִפְגְּעוּ בָכֶם אֲנָשִׁים מָרֵי נֶפֶשׁ וְאָסַפְתָּה נַפְשְׁךָ וְנֶפֶשׁ בֵּיתֶךָ

 18:25 waYom'rû ëläyw B'nëy-dän al-Tash'ma qôl'khä iMänû Pen-yif'G'û väkhem ánäshiym märëy nefesh w'äšaf'Täh naf'sh'khä w'nefesh Bëytekhä

 18:25 And the children 1121 of Dän דָּן 1835 said 559 z8799 unto x413 him, Let not x408 thy voice 6963 be heard 8085 z8686 among x5973 us, lest x6435 angry 4751 5315 fellows y582 x376 run 6293 z8799 upon thee, and thou lose 622 z8804 thy life, 5315 with the lives 5315 of thy household. 1004

וַיֵּלְכוּ בְנֵי־דָן לְדַרְכָּם וַיַּרְא מִיכָה כִּי־חֲזָקִים הֵמָּה מִמֶּנּוּ וַיִּפֶן וַיָּשָׁב אֶל־בֵּיתוֹ

 18:26 waYël'khû v'nëy-dän l'dar'Käm waYar' miykhäh Kiy-cházäqiym hëMäh miMeNû waYifen waYäshäv el-Bëytô

 18:26 And the children 1121 of Dän דָּן 1835 went y3212 z8799 x1980 their way: 1870 and when Mîȼà מִיכָה 4318 saw 7200 z8799 that x3588 they x1992 [were] too strong 2389 for x4480 him, he turned 6437 z8799 and went back 7725 z8799 unto x413 his house. 1004

וְאֵין מַצִּיל כִּי רְחוֹקָה־הִיא מִצִּידוֹן וְדָבָר אֵין־לָהֶם עִם־אָדָם וְהִיא בָּעֵמֶק אֲשֶׁר לְבֵית־רְחוֹב וַיִּבְנוּ אֶת־הָעִיר וַיֵּשְׁבוּ בָהּ

 18:28 w'ëyn maTZiyl Kiy r'chôqäh-hiy miTZiydôn w'dävär ëyn-lähem im-ädäm w'hiy Bäëmeq ásher l'vëyt-r'chôv waYiv'nû et-häiyr waYësh'vû väH

 18:29 waYiq'r'û shëm-häiyr Dän B'shëm Dän áviyhem ásher yûLad l'yis'räël w'ûläm layish shëm-häiyr lärishonäh

 18:29 And they called 7121 z8799 the name 8034 of the city 5892 Dän דָּן, 1835 after the name 8034 of Dän דָּן 1835 their father, 1 who x834 was born 3205 z8795 unto Yiŝrä´ël יִשׂרָאֵל: 3478 howbeit 199 the name 8034 of the city 5892 [was] Layiš לַיִשׁ 3919 at the first. 7223

וַיָּקִימוּ לָהֶם בְּנֵי־דָן אֶת־הַפָּסֶל וִיהוֹנָתָן בֶּן־גֵּרְשֹׁם בֶּן־מְנַשֶּׁה הוּא וּבָנָיו הָיוּ כֹהֲנִים לְשֵׁבֶט הַדָּנִי עַד־יוֹם גְּלוֹת הָאָרֶץ

 18:30 waYäqiymû lähem B'nëy-dän et-haPäšel wiyhônätän Ben-Gër'shom Ben-m'naSHeh hû ûvänäyw häyû khohániym l'shëveţ haDäniy ad-yôm G'lôt hääretz

 18:30 ¶ And the children 1121 of Dän דָּן 1835 set up 6965 z8686 x853 the graven image: 6459 and Yæhônäŧän יְהוֹנָתָן, 3083 the son 1121 of Gëršôm גֵּרשׁוֹם, y1647 x1648 the son 1121 of Mænaššè מְנַשֶּׁה, 4519 he x1931 and his sons 1121 were x1961 priests 3548 to the tribe 7626 of Dän דָּן 1839 until x5704 the day 3117 of the captivity 1540 z8800 of the land. 776
