 17:1 way'hiy-iysh mëhar-ef'räyim ûsh'mô miykhäy'hû

 17:1 ¶ And there was x1961 a man 376 of mount 2022 x4480 ´Efrayim אֶפרַיִם, 669 whose name 8034 [was] Mîȼäyhû מִיכָיהוּ. 4321

וַיֹּאמֶר לְאִמּוֹ אֶלֶף וּמֵאָה הַכֶּסֶף אֲשֶׁר לֻקַּח־לָךְ *וְאַתִּי [וְאַתְּ] אָלִית וְגַם אָמַרְתְּ בְּאָזְנַי הִנֵּה־הַכֶּסֶף אִתִּי אֲנִי לְקַחְתִּיו וַתֹּאמֶר אִמּוֹ בָּרוּךְ בְּנִי לַיהוָה

 17:2 waYomer l'iMô elef ûmëäh haKešef ásher luQach-läkh' *w'aTiy [w'aT'] äliyt w'gam ämar'T' B'äz'nay hiNëh-haKešef iTiy ániy l'qach'Tiyw waTomer iMô Bärûkh' B'niy layhwäh

 17:2 And he said 559 z8799 unto his mother, 517 The eleven hundred 505 3967 [shekels] of silver 3701 that x834 were taken 3947 z8795 from thee, about which thou x859 cursedst, 422 z8804 and spakest 559 z8804 of also x1571 in mine ears, 241 behold, x2009 the silver 3701 [is] with x854 me; I x589 took 3947 z8804 it. And his mother 517 said, 559 z8799 Blessed 1288 z8803 [be thou] of Yähwè יָהוֶה, 3068 my son. 1121

וַיָּשֶׁב אֶת־אֶלֶף־וּמֵאָה הַכֶּסֶף לְאִמּוֹ וַתֹּאמֶר אִמּוֹ הַקְדֵּשׁ הִקְדַּשְׁתִּי אֶת־הַכֶּסֶף לַיהוָה מִיָּדִי לִבְנִי לַעֲשׂוֹת פֶּסֶל וּמַסֵּכָה וְעַתָּה אֲשִׁיבֶנּוּ לָךְ

 17:3 waYäshev et-elef-ûmëäh haKešef l'iMô waTomer iMô haq'Dësh hiq'Dash'Tiy et-haKešef layhwäh miYädiy liv'niy laásôt Pešel ûmaŠëkhäh w'aTäh áshiyveNû läkh'

 17:3 And when he had restored 7725 z8686 x853 the eleven hundred 505 3967 [shekels] of silver 3701 to his mother, 517 his mother 517 said, 559 z8799 I had wholly y6942 z8687 dedicated 6942 z8689 x853 the silver 3701 unto Yähwè יָהוֶה 3068 from my hand 3027 x4480 for my son, 1121 to make 6213 z8800 a graven image 6459 and a molten image: 4541 now x6258 therefore I will restore 7725 z8686 it unto thee.

וַיָּשֶׁב אֶת־הַכֶּסֶף לְאִמּוֹ וַתִּקַּח אִמּוֹ מָאתַיִם כֶּסֶף וַתִּתְּנֵהוּ לַצּוֹרֵף וַיַּעֲשֵׂהוּ פֶּסֶל וּמַסֵּכָה וַיְהִי בְּבֵית מִיכָיְהוּ

 17:4 waYäshev et-haKešef l'iMô waTiQach iMô mätayim Kešef waTiT'nëhû laTZôrëf waYaásëhû Pešel ûmaŠëkhäh way'hiy B'vëyt miykhäy'hû

 17:4 Yet he restored 7725 z8686 x853 the money 3701 unto his mother; 517 and his mother 517 took 3947 z8799 two hundred 3967 [shekels] of silver, 3701 and gave 5414 z8799 them to the founder, 6884 z8802 who made 6213 z8799 thereof a graven image 6459 and a molten image: 4541 and they were x1961 in the house 1004 of Mîȼäyhû מִיכָיהוּ. 4321

וְהָאִישׁ מִיכָה לוֹ בֵּית אֱלֹהִים וַיַּעַשׂ אֵפוֹד וּתְרָפִים וַיְמַלֵּא אֶת־יַד אַחַד מִבָּנָיו וַיְהִי־לוֹ לְכֹהֵן

 17:5 And the man 376 Mîȼà מִיכָה 4318 had an house 1004 of ´élöhîm אֱלֹהִים, 430 and made 6213 z8799 an ephod, 646 and teraphim, 8655 and consecrated 4390 3027 z8762 x853 one 259 of his sons, 1121 x4480 who became x1961 his priest. 3548

בַּיָּמִים הָהֵם אֵין מֶלֶךְ בְּיִשְׂרָאֵל אִישׁ הַיָּשָׁר בְּעֵינָיו יַעֲשֶׂה פ

וַיְהִי־נַעַר מִבֵּית לֶחֶם יְהוּדָה מִמִּשְׁפַּחַת יְהוּדָה וְהוּא לֵוִי וְהוּא גָר־שָׁם

וַיֵּלֶךְ הָאִישׁ מֵהָעִיר מִבֵּית לֶחֶם יְהוּדָה לָגוּר בַּאֲשֶׁר יִמְצָא וַיָּבֹא הַר־אֶפְרַיִם עַד־בֵּית מִיכָה לַעֲשׂוֹת דַּרְכּוֹ

וַיֹּאמֶר־לוֹ מִיכָה מֵאַיִן תָּבוֹא וַיֹּאמֶר אֵלָיו לֵוִי אָנֹכִי מִבֵּית לֶחֶם יְהוּדָה וְאָנֹכִי הֹלֵךְ לָגוּר בַּאֲשֶׁר אֶמְצָא

 17:9 And Mîȼà מִיכָה 4318 said 559 z8799 unto him, Whence 370 x4480 comest 935 z8799 thou? And he said 559 z8799 unto x413 him, I x595 [am] a Lëwî לֵוִי 3881 of Bêŧ Leçem Yæhûđà בֵּית־לֶחֶם־יְהוּדָה, 1035 3063 x4480 and I x595 go 1980 z8802 to sojourn 1481 z8800 where x834 I may find 4672 z8799 [a place].

וַיֹּאמֶר לוֹ מִיכָה שְׁבָה עִמָּדִי וֶהְיֵה־לִי לְאָב וּלְכֹהֵן וְאָנֹכִי אֶתֶּן־לְךָ עֲשֶׂרֶת כֶּסֶף לַיָּמִים וְעֵרֶךְ בְּגָדִים וּמִחְיָתֶךָ וַיֵּלֶךְ הַלֵּוִי

 17:10 waYomer lô miykhäh sh'väh iMädiy weh'yëh-liy l'äv ûl'khohën w'änokhiy eTen-l'khä áseret Kešef laYämiym w'ërekh' B'gädiym ûmich'yätekhä waYëlekh' haLëwiy

 17:10 And Mîȼà מִיכָה 4318 said 559 z8799 unto him, Dwell 3427 z8798 with x5978 me, and be x1961 unto me a father 1 and a priest, 3548 and I x595 will give 5414 z8799 thee ten 6235 [shekels] of silver 3701 by the year, 3117 and a suit 6187 of apparel, 899 and thy victuals. 4241 So the Lëwî לֵוִי 3881 went in. y3212 z8799 x1980

וַיּוֹאֶל הַלֵּוִי לָשֶׁבֶת אֶת־הָאִישׁ וַיְהִי הַנַּעַר לוֹ כְּאַחַד מִבָּנָיו

 17:11 waYôel haLëwiy läshevet et-häiysh way'hiy haNaar lô K'achad miBänäyw

 17:11 And the Lëwî לֵוִי 3881 was content 2974 z8686 to dwell 3427 z8800 with x854 the man; 376 and the young man 5288 was x1961 unto him as one 259 of his sons. 1121 x4480

וַיְמַלֵּא מִיכָה אֶת־יַד הַלֵּוִי וַיְהִי־לוֹ הַנַּעַר לְכֹהֵן וַיְהִי בְּבֵית מִיכָה

וַיֹּאמֶר מִיכָה עַתָּה יָדַעְתִּי כִּי־יֵיטִיב יְהוָה לִי כִּי הָיָה־לִי הַלֵּוִי לְכֹהֵן
