וְלֹא־אָבָה הָאִישׁ לָלוּן וַיָּקָם וַיֵּלֶךְ וַיָּבֹא עַד־נֹכַח יְבוּס הִיא יְרוּשָׁלִָם וְעִמּוֹ צֶמֶד חֲמוֹרִים חֲבוּשִׁים וּפִילַגְשׁוֹ עִמּוֹ

 19:10 But the man 376 would 14 z8804 not x3808 tarry that night, 3885 z8800 but he rose up 6965 z8799 and departed, y3212 z8799 x1980 and came 935 z8799 over against 5227 x5704 Yævûs יְבוּס, 2982 which x1931 [is] Yærûšälaim יְרוּשָׁלִַם; 3389 and [there were] with x5973 him two 6776 asses 2543 saddled, 2280 z8803 his concubine 6370 also [was] with x5973 him.

הֵם עִם־יְבוּס וְהַיּוֹם רַד מְאֹד וַיֹּאמֶר הַנַּעַר אֶל־אֲדֹנָיו לְכָה־נָּא וְנָסוּרָה אֶל־עִיר־הַיְבוּסִי הַזֹּאת וְנָלִין בָּהּ

וַיֹּאמֶר אֵלָיו אֲדֹנָיו לֹא נָסוּר אֶל־עִיר נָכְרִי אֲשֶׁר לֹא־מִבְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל הֵנָּה וְעָבַרְנוּ עַד־גִּבְעָה

 19:12 waYomer ëläyw ádonäyw lo näšûr el-iyr näkh'riy ásher lo-miB'nëy yis'räël hëNäh w'ävar'nû ad-Giv'äh

 19:12 And his ´áđôn אֲדוֹן 113 said 559 z8799 unto x413 him, We will not x3808 turn aside 5493 z8799 hither into x413 the city 5892 of a stranger, 5237 that x834 [is] not x3808 of the children 1121 x4480 of Yiŝrä´ël יִשׂרָאֵל; 3478 we will pass over 5674 z8804 to x5704 Giv`à גִּבעָה. 1390

וַיֹּאמֶר לְנַעֲרוֹ לְךָ וְנִקְרְבָה בְּאַחַד הַמְּקֹמוֹת וְלַנּוּ בַגִּבְעָה אוֹ בָרָמָה

 19:13 waYomer l'naárô l'khä w'niq'r'väh B'achad haM'qomôt w'laNû vaGiv'äh ô värämäh

 19:13 And he said 559 z8799 unto his servant, 5288 Come, y3212 z8798 x1980 and let us draw near 7126 z8799 to one 259 of these places 4725 to lodge all night, 3885 z8804 in Giv`à גִּבעָה, 1390 or x176 in Rämà רָמָה. 7414

וַיַּעַבְרוּ וַיֵּלֵכוּ וַתָּבֹא לָהֶם הַשֶּׁמֶשׁ אֵצֶל הַגִּבְעָה אֲשֶׁר לְבִנְיָמִן

וַיָּסֻרוּ שָׁם לָבוֹא לָלוּן בַּגִּבְעָה וַיָּבֹא וַיֵּשֶׁב בִּרְחוֹב הָעִיר וְאֵין אִישׁ מְאַסֵּף־אוֹתָם הַבַּיְתָה לָלוּן

וְהִנֵּה אִישׁ זָקֵן בָּא מִן־מַעֲשֵׂהוּ מִן־הַשָּׂדֶה בָּעֶרֶב וְהָאִישׁ מֵהַר אֶפְרַיִם וְהוּא־גָר בַּגִּבְעָה וְאַנְשֵׁי הַמָּקוֹם בְּנֵי יְמִינִי

 19:16 w'hiNëh iysh zäqën Bä min-maásëhû min-haSädeh Bäerev w'häiysh mëhar ef'rayim w'hû-gär BaGiv'äh w'an'shëy haMäqôm B'nëy y'miyniy

 19:16 ¶ And, behold, x2009 there came 935 z8804 an old 2205 man 376 from x4480 his work 4639 out of x4480 the field 7704 at even, 6153 which x3676 [was] also y376 of mount 2022 x4480 ´Efrayim אֶפרַיִם; 669 and he x1931 sojourned 1481 z8804 in Giv`à גִּבעָה: 1390 but the men y582 x376 of the place 4725 [were] Benyæmînîm בֶּניְמִינִים. 1145

וַיִּשָּׂא עֵינָיו וַיַּרְא אֶת־הָאִישׁ הָאֹרֵחַ בִּרְחֹב הָעִיר וַיֹּאמֶר הָאִישׁ הַזָּקֵן אָנָה תֵלֵךְ וּמֵאַיִן תָּבוֹא

וַיֹּאמֶר אֵלָיו עֹבְרִים אֲנַחְנוּ מִבֵּית־לֶחֶם יְהוּדָה עַד־יַרְכְּתֵי הַר־אֶפְרַיִם מִשָּׁם אָנֹכִי וָאֵלֵךְ עַד־בֵּית לֶחֶם יְהוּדָה וְאֶת־בֵּית יְהוָה אֲנִי הֹלֵךְ וְאֵין אִישׁ מְאַסֵּף אוֹתִי הַבָּיְתָה

 19:18 And he said 559 z8799 unto x413 him, We x587 [are] passing 5674 z8802 from Bêŧ Leçem Yæhûđà בֵּית־לֶחֶם־יְהוּדָה 1035 3063 x4480 toward x5704 the side 3411 of mount 2022 ´Efrayim אֶפרַיִם; 669 from thence x4480 x8033 [am] I: x595 and I went y3212 z8799 x1980 to x5704 Bêŧ Leçem Yæhûđà בֵּית־לֶחֶם־יְהוּדָה, 1035 3063 but I x589 [am now] going 1980 z8802 to the house 1004 of Yähwè יָהוֶה; 3068 and there [is] no x369 man 376 that receiveth 622 z8764 me to house. 1004

וְגַם־תֶּבֶן גַּם־מִסְפּוֹא יֵשׁ לַחֲמוֹרֵינוּ וְגַם לֶחֶם וָיַיִן יֶשׁ־לִי וְלַאֲמָתֶךָ וְלַנַּעַר עִם־עֲבָדֶיךָ אֵין מַחְסוֹר כָּל־דָּבָר

 19:19 w'gam-Teven Gam-miš'Pô yësh lachámôrëynû w'gam lechem wäyayin yesh-liy w'laámätekhä w'laNaar im-ávädeykhä ëyn mach'šôr Käl-Dävär

 19:19 Yet there is 3426 both x1571 straw 8401 and x1571 provender 4554 for our asses; 2543 and there is x3426 bread 3899 and wine 3196 also x1571 for me, and for thy handmaid, 519 and for the young man 5288 [which is] with x5973 thy servants: 5650 [there is] no x369 want 4270 of any x3605 thing. 1697

וַיֹּאמֶר הָאִישׁ הַזָּקֵן שָׁלוֹם לָךְ רַק כָּל־מַחְסוֹרְךָ עָלָי רַק בָּרְחוֹב אַל־תָּלַן

 19:20 And the old 2205 man 376 said, 559 z8799 Peace 7965 [be] with thee; howsoever 7535 [let] all x3605 thy wants 4270 [lie] upon x5921 me; only x7535 lodge 3885 z8799 not x408 in the street. 7339

וַיְבִיאֵהוּ לְבֵיתוֹ *וַיִּבּוֹל [וַיָּבָל] לַחֲמוֹרִים וַיִּרְחֲצוּ רַגְלֵיהֶם וַיֹּאכְלוּ וַיִּשְׁתּוּ

הֵמָּה מֵיטִיבִים אֶת־לִבָּם וְהִנֵּה אַנְשֵׁי הָעִיר אַנְשֵׁי בְנֵי־בְלִיַּעַל נָסַבּוּ אֶת־הַבַּיִת מִתְדַּפְּקִים עַל־הַדָּלֶת וַיֹּאמְרוּ אֶל־הָאִישׁ בַּעַל הַבַּיִת הַזָּקֵן לֵאמֹר הוֹצֵא אֶת־הָאִישׁ אֲשֶׁר־בָּא אֶל־בֵּיתְךָ וְנֵדָעֶנּוּ

וַיֵּצֵא אֲלֵיהֶם הָאִישׁ בַּעַל הַבַּיִת וַיֹּאמֶר אֲלֵהֶם אַל־אַחַי אַל־תָּרֵעוּ נָא אַחֲרֵי אֲשֶׁר־בָּא הָאִישׁ הַזֶּה אַל־בֵּיתִי אַל־תַּעֲשׂוּ אֶת־הַנְּבָלָה הַזֹּאת
