 6:1 ¶ And the children 1121 of Yiŝrä´ël יִשׂרָאֵל 3478 did 6213 z8799 evil 7451 in the sight 5869 of Yähwè יָהוֶה: 3068 and Yähwè יָהוֶה 3068 delivered 5414 z8799 them into the hand 3027 of Miđyän מִדיָן 4080 seven 7651 years. 8141

וַתָּעָז יַד־מִדְיָן עַל־יִשְׂרָאֵל מִפְּנֵי מִדְיָן עָשׂוּ לָהֶם בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל אֶת־הַמִּנְהָרוֹת אֲשֶׁר בֶּהָרִים וְאֶת־הַמְּעָרוֹת וְאֶת־הַמְּצָדוֹת

 6:2 waTääz yad-mid'yän al-yis'räël miP'nëy mid'yän äsû lähem B'nëy yis'räël et-haMin'härôt ásher Behäriym w'et-haM'ärôt w'et-haM'tzädôt

וְהָיָה אִם־זָרַע יִשְׂרָאֵל וְעָלָה מִדְיָן וַעֲמָלֵק וּבְנֵי־קֶדֶם וְעָלוּ עָלָיו

וָאֹמְרָה לָכֶם אֲנִי יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵיכֶם לֹא תִירְאוּ אֶת־אֱלֹהֵי הָאֱמֹרִי אֲשֶׁר אַתֶּם יוֹשְׁבִים בְּאַרְצָם וְלֹא שְׁמַעְתֶּם בְּקוֹלִי פ

וַיָּבֹא מַלְאַךְ יְהוָה וַיֵּשֶׁב תַּחַת הָאֵלָה אֲשֶׁר בְּעָפְרָה אֲשֶׁר לְיוֹאָשׁ אֲבִי הָעֶזְרִי וְגִדְעוֹן בְּנוֹ חֹבֵט חִטִּים בַּגַּת לְהָנִיס מִפְּנֵי מִדְיָן

 6:11 waYävo mal'akh' y'hwäh waYëshev Tachat häëläh ásher B'äf'räh ásher l'yôäsh áviy häez'riy w'gid'ôn B'nô chovëţ chiŢiym BaGat l'häniyš miP'nëy mid'yän

 6:11 ¶ And there came 935 z8799 an angel 4397 of Yähwè יָהוֶה, 3068 and sat 3427 z8799 under x8478 an oak 424 which x834 [was] in `Ofrà עָפרָה, 6084 that x834 [pertained] unto Yô´äš יוֹאָשׁ 3101 the ´Ávî `Ezrî אֲבִי־עֶזרִי: 33 and his son 1121 Giđ`ôn גִּדעוֹן 1439 threshed 2251 z8802 wheat 2406 by the winepress, 1660 to hide 5127 z8687 [it] from 6440 x4480 the Miđyänîm מִדיָנִים. 4080

וַיֵּרָא אֵלָיו מַלְאַךְ יְהוָה וַיֹּאמֶר אֵלָיו יְהוָה עִמְּךָ גִּבּוֹר הֶחָיִל

וַיֹּאמֶר אֵלָיו גִּדְעוֹן בִּי אֲדֹנִי וְיֵשׁ יְהוָה עִמָּנוּ וְלָמָּה מְצָאַתְנוּ כָּל־זֹאת וְאַיֵּה כָל־נִפְלְאֹתָיו אֲשֶׁר סִפְּרוּ־לָנוּ אֲבוֹתֵינוּ לֵאמֹר הֲלֹא מִמִּצְרַיִם הֶעֱלָנוּ יְהוָה וְעַתָּה נְטָשָׁנוּ יְהוָה וַיִּתְּנֵנוּ בְּכַף־מִדְיָן

 6:13 waYomer ëläyw Gid'ôn Biy ádoniy w'yësh y'hwäh iMänû w'läMäh m'tzäat'nû Käl-zot w'aYëh khäl-nif'l'otäyw ásher šiP'rû-länû ávôtëynû lëmor hálo miMitz'rayim heélänû y'hwäh w'aTäh n'ţäshänû y'hwäh waYiT'nënû B'khaf-mid'yän

 6:13 And Giđ`ôn גִּדעוֹן 1439 said 559 z8799 unto x413 him, Oh 994 my ´áđôn אֲדוֹן, 113 if y3426 Yähwè יָהוֶה 3068 be x3426 with x5973 us, why x4100 then is all x3605 this x2063 befallen 4672 z8804 us? and where x346 [be] all x3605 his miracles 6381 z8737 which x834 our fathers 1 told 5608 z8765 us of, saying, 559 z8800 Did not x3808 Yähwè יָהוֶה 3068 bring us up 5927 z8689 from Mixrayim מִצרַיִם? 4714 x4480 but now x6258 Yähwè יָהוֶה 3068 hath forsaken 5203 z8804 us, and delivered 5414 z8799 us into the hands 3709 of the Miđyänîm מִדיָנִים. 4080

וַיִּפֶן אֵלָיו יְהוָה וַיֹּאמֶר לֵךְ בְּכֹחֲךָ זֶה וְהוֹשַׁעְתָּ אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵל מִכַּף מִדְיָן הֲלֹא שְׁלַחְתִּיךָ

 6:14 And Yähwè יָהוֶה 3068 looked 6437 z8799 upon x413 him, and said, 559 z8799 Go y3212 z8798 in x1980 this x2088 thy might, 3581 and thou shalt save 3467 z8689 x853 Yiŝrä´ël יִשׂרָאֵל 3478 from the hand 3709 x4480 of the Miđyänîm מִדיָנִים: 4080 have not x3808 I sent 7971 z8804 thee?

וַיֹּאמֶר אֵלָיו בִּי אֲדֹנָי בַּמָּה אוֹשִׁיעַ אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵל הִנֵּה אַלְפִּי הַדַּל בִּמְנַשֶּׁה וְאָנֹכִי הַצָּעִיר בְּבֵית אָבִי

 6:15 waYomer ëläyw Biy ádonäy BaMäh ôshiyª et-yis'räël hiNëh al'Piy haDal Bim'naSHeh w'änokhiy haTZäiyr B'vëyt äviy

 6:15 And he said 559 z8799 unto x413 him, Oh 994 Yähwè יָהוֶה, 136 wherewith 4100 shall I save 3467 z8686 x853 Yiŝrä´ël יִשׂרָאֵל? 3478 behold, x2009 my family 504 z8676 y505 [is] poor 1800 in Mænaššè מְנַשֶּׁה, 4519 and I x595 [am] the least 6810 in my father's 1 house. 1004

וַיֹּאמֶר אֵלָיו יְהוָה כִּי אֶהְיֶה עִמָּךְ וְהִכִּיתָ אֶת־מִדְיָן כְּאִישׁ אֶחָד

 6:16 waYomer ëläyw y'hwäh Kiy eh'yeh iMäkh' w'hiKiytä et-mid'yän K'iysh echäd

 6:16 And Yähwè יָהוֶה 3068 said 559 z8799 unto x413 him, Surely x3588 I will be x1961 with x5973 thee, and thou shalt smite 5221 z8689 x853 the Miđyänîm מִדיָנִים 4080 as one 259 man. 376

וַיֹּאמֶר אֵלָיו אִם־נָא מָצָאתִי חֵן בְּעֵינֶיךָ וְעָשִׂיתָ לִּי אוֹת שָׁאַתָּה מְדַבֵּר עִמִּי

אַל־נָא תָמֻשׁ מִזֶּה עַד־בֹּאִי אֵלֶיךָ וְהֹצֵאתִי אֶת־מִנְחָתִי וְהִנַּחְתִּי לְפָנֶיךָ וַיֹּאמַר אָנֹכִי אֵשֵׁב עַד שׁוּבֶךָ

 6:18 al-nä tämush miZeh ad-Boiy ëleykhä w'hotzëtiy et-min'chätiy w'hiNach'Tiy l'fäneykhä waYomar änokhiy ëshëv ad shûvekhä

 6:18 Depart 4185 z8799 not x408 hence, x4480 x2088 I pray thee, x4994 until x5704 I come 935 z8800 unto x413 thee, and bring forth 3318 z8689 x853 my present, 4503 and set y3240 z8689 x5117 [it] before 6440 thee. וְגִדְעוֹן בָּא וַיַּעַשׂ גְּדִי־עִזִּים וְאֵיפַת־קֶמַח מַצּוֹת הַבָּשָׂר שָׂם בַּסַּל וְהַמָּרַק שָׂם בַּפָּרוּר וַיּוֹצֵא אֵלָיו אֶל־תַּחַת הָאֵלָה וַיַּגַּשׁ ס

 6:19 w'gid'ôn Bä waYaas G'diy-iZiym w'ëyfat-qemach maTZôt haBäsär säm BaŠal w'haMäraq säm BaPärûr waYôtzë ëläyw el-Tachat häëläh waYaGash š

 6:19 ¶ And Giđ`ôn גִּדעוֹן 1439 went in, 935 z8804 and made ready 6213 z8799 a kid, 5795 1423 and unleavened cakes 4682 of an ephah 374 of flour: 7058 the flesh 1320 he put 7760 z8804 in a basket, 5536 and he put 7760 z8804 the broth 4839 in a pot, 6517 and brought [it] out 3318 z8686 unto x413 him under x413 x8478 the oak, 424 and presented 5066 z8686 [it].

וַיֹּאמֶר אֵלָיו מַלְאַךְ הָאֱלֹהִים קַח אֶת־הַבָּשָׂר וְאֶת־הַמַּצּוֹת וְהַנַּח אֶל־הַסֶּלַע הַלָּז וְאֶת־הַמָּרַק שְׁפוֹךְ וַיַּעַשׂ כֵּן

 6:20 And the angel 4397 of ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִים 430 said 559 z8799 unto x413 him, Take 3947 z8798 x853 the flesh 1320 and the unleavened cakes, 4682 and lay y3240 z8685 x5117 [them] upon x413 this 1975 rock, 5553 and pour out 8210 z8798 the broth. 4839 And he did 6213 z8799 so. x3651

וַיִּשְׁלַח מַלְאַךְ יְהוָה אֶת־קְצֵה הַמִּשְׁעֶנֶת אֲשֶׁר בְּיָדוֹ וַיִּגַּע בַּבָּשָׂר וּבַמַּצּוֹת וַתַּעַל הָאֵשׁ מִן־הַצּוּר וַתֹּאכַל אֶת־הַבָּשָׂר וְאֶת־הַמַּצּוֹת וּמַלְאַךְ יְהוָה הָלַךְ מֵעֵינָיו

 6:21 ¶ Then the angel 4397 of Yähwè יָהוֶה 3068 put forth 7971 z8799 x853 the end 7097 of the staff 4938 that x834 [was] in his hand, 3027 and touched 5060 z8799 the flesh 1320 and the unleavened cakes; 4682 and there rose up 5927 z8799 fire 784 out of x4480 the rock, 6697 and consumed 398 z8799 x853 the flesh 1320 and the unleavened cakes. 4682 Then the angel 4397 of Yähwè יָהוֶה 3068 departed 1980 z8804 out of his sight. 5869 x4480

וַיַּרְא גִּדְעוֹן כִּי־מַלְאַךְ יְהוָה הוּא ס וַיֹּאמֶר גִּדְעוֹן אֲהָהּ אֲדֹנָי יְהוִה כִּי־עַל־כֵּן רָאִיתִי מַלְאַךְ יְהוָה פָּנִים אֶל־פָּנִים

 6:22 And when Giđ`ôn גִּדעוֹן 1439 perceived 7200 z8799 that x3588 he x1931 [was] an angel 4397 of Yähwè יָהוֶה, 3068 Giđ`ôn גִּדעוֹן 1439 said, 559 z8799 Alas, 162 O ´Áđönäy אֲדֹנָי 136 Yähwè יָהוֶה! 3069 for x3588 because 3651 x5921 I have seen 7200 z8804 an angel 4397 of Yähwè יָהוֶה 3068 face 6440 to x413 face. 6440

וַיֹּאמֶר לוֹ יְהוָה שָׁלוֹם לְךָ אַל־תִּירָא לֹא תָּמוּת

 6:23 waYomer lô y'hwäh shälôm l'khä al-Tiyrä lo Tämût

 6:23 And Yähwè יָהוֶה 3068 said 559 z8799 unto him, Peace 7965 [be] unto thee; fear 3372 z8799 not: x408 thou shalt not x3808 die. 4191 z8799

וַיִּבֶן שָׁם גִּדְעוֹן מִזְבֵּחַ לַיהוָה וַיִּקְרָא־לוֹ יְהוָה שָׁלוֹם עַד הַיּוֹם הַזֶּה עוֹדֶנּוּ בְּעָפְרָת אֲבִי הָעֶזְרִי פ

 6:24 Then Giđ`ôn גִּדעוֹן 1439 built 1129 z8799 an altar 4196 there x8033 unto Yähwè יָהוֶה, 3068 and called 7121 z8799 it Yähwè יָהוֶה Šälôm שָׁלוֹם: 3073 unto x5704 this x2088 day 3117 it [is] yet x5750 in `Ofrà עָפרָה 6084 of the ´Ávî `Ezrîm אֲבִי־עֶזרִים. 33

וּבָנִיתָ מִזְבֵּחַ לַיהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ עַל רֹאשׁ הַמָּעוֹז הַזֶּה בַּמַּעֲרָכָה וְלָקַחְתָּ אֶת־הַפָּר הַשֵּׁנִי וְהַעֲלִיתָ עוֹלָה בַּעֲצֵי הָאֲשֵׁרָה אֲשֶׁר תִּכְרֹת

 6:31 waYomer yôäsh l'khol ásher-äm'dû äläyw haaTem T'riyvûn laBaal im-aTem Tôshiyûn ôtô ásher yäriyv lô yûmat ad-haBoqer im-élohiym hû yärev lô Kiy nätatz et-miz'B'chô

הִנֵּה אָנֹכִי מַצִּיג אֶת־גִּזַּת הַצֶּמֶר בַּגֹּרֶן אִם טַל יִהְיֶה עַל־הַגִּזָּה לְבַדָּהּ וְעַל־כָּל־הָאָרֶץ חֹרֶב וְיָדַעְתִּי כִּי־תוֹשִׁיעַ בְּיָדִי אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵל כַּאֲשֶׁר דִּבַּרְתָּ

 6:39 waYomer Gid'ôn el-häélohiym al-yichar aP'khä Biy waádaB'räh akh' haPäam ánaŠeh Nä-raq-haPaam BaGiZäh y'hiy-nä chorev el-haGiZäh l'vaDäH w'al-Käl-hääretz yih'yeh-Ţäl

 6:39 And Giđ`ôn גִּדעוֹן 1439 said 559 z8799 unto x413 ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִים, 430 Let not x408 thine anger 639 be hot 2734 z8799 against me, and I will speak 1696 z8762 but x389 this once: 6471 let me prove, 5254 z8762 I pray thee, x4994 but x7535 this once 6471 with the fleece; 1492 let it now x4994 be x1961 dry 2721 only x905 upon x413 the fleece, 1492 and upon x5921 all x3605 the ground 776 let there be x1961 dew. 2919
