 7:2 And Yähwè יָהוֶה 3068 said 559 z8799 unto x413 Giđ`ôn גִּדעוֹן, 1439 The people 5971 that x834 [are] with x854 thee [are] too many 7227 for me to give 5414 z8800 x853 the Miđyänîm מִדיָנִים 4080 into their hands, 3027 lest x6435 Yiŝrä´ël יִשׂרָאֵל 3478 vaunt y6286 z8691 themselves x6286 against x5921 me, saying, 559 z8800 Mine own hand 3027 hath saved 3467 z8689 me.

וְעַתָּה קְרָא נָא בְּאָזְנֵי הָעָם לֵאמֹר מִי־יָרֵא וְחָרֵד יָשֹׁב וְיִצְפֹּר מֵהַר הַגִּלְעָד וַיָּשָׁב מִן־הָעָם עֶשְׂרִים וּשְׁנַיִם אֶלֶף וַעֲשֶׂרֶת אֲלָפִים נִשְׁאָרוּ ס

וַיּוֹרֶד אֶת־הָעָם אֶל־הַמָּיִם ס וַיֹּאמֶר יְהוָה אֶל־גִּדְעוֹן כֹּל אֲשֶׁר־יָלֹק בִּלְשׁוֹנוֹ מִן־הַמַּיִם כַּאֲשֶׁר יָלֹק הַכֶּלֶב תַּצִּיג אוֹתוֹ לְבָד וְכֹל אֲשֶׁר־יִכְרַע עַל־בִּרְכָּיו לִשְׁתּוֹת

וַיֹּאמֶר יְהוָה אֶל־גִּדְעוֹן בִּשְׁלֹשׁ מֵאוֹת הָאִישׁ הַמֲלַקְקִים אוֹשִׁיעַ אֶתְכֶם וְנָתַתִּי אֶת־מִדְיָן בְּיָדֶךָ וְכָל־הָעָם יֵלְכוּ אִישׁ לִמְקֹמוֹ

 7:7 And Yähwè יָהוֶה 3068 said 559 z8799 unto x413 Giđ`ôn גִּדעוֹן, 1439 By the three 7969 hundred 3967 men 376 that lapped 3952 z8764 will I save 3467 z8686 you, and deliver 5414 z8804 x853 the Miđyänîm מִדיָנִים 4080 into thine hand: 3027 and let all x3605 the [other] people 5971 go y3212 z8799 x1980 every man 376 unto his place. 4725

וַיִּקְחוּ אֶת־צֵדָה הָעָם בְּיָדָם וְאֵת שׁוֹפְרֹתֵיהֶם וְאֵת כָּל־אִישׁ יִשְׂרָאֵל שִׁלַּח אִישׁ לְאֹהָלָיו וּבִשְׁלֹשׁ־מֵאוֹת הָאִישׁ הֶחֱזִיק וּמַחֲנֵה מִדְיָן הָיָה לוֹ מִתַּחַת בָּעֵמֶק פ

 7:8 waYiq'chû et-tzëdäh hääm B'yädäm w'ët shôf'rotëyhem w'ët Käl-iysh yis'räël shiLach iysh l'ohäläyw ûvish'losh-mëôt häiysh hechéziyq ûmachánëh mid'yän häyäh lô miTachat Bäëmeq f

 7:8 So the people 5971 took 3947 z8799 x853 victuals 6720 in their hand, 3027 and their trumpets: 7782 and he sent 7971 z8765 all y376 x3605 [the rest of] Yiŝrä´ël יִשׂרָאֵל 3478 every man 376 unto his tent, 168 and retained 2388 z8689 those three 7969 hundred 3967 men: 376 and the host 4264 of Miđyän מִדיָן 4080 was x1961 beneath x4480 x8478 him in the valley. 6010

וַיְהִי בַּלַּיְלָה הַהוּא וַיֹּאמֶר אֵלָיו יְהוָה קוּם רֵד בַּמַּחֲנֶה כִּי נְתַתִּיו בְּיָדֶךָ

וְאִם־יָרֵא אַתָּה לָרֶדֶת רֵד אַתָּה וּפֻרָה נַעַרְךָ אֶל־הַמַּחֲנֶה

וְשָׁמַעְתָּ מַה־יְדַבֵּרוּ וְאַחַר תֶּחֱזַקְנָה יָדֶיךָ וְיָרַדְתָּ בַּמַּחֲנֶה וַיֵּרֶד הוּא וּפֻרָה נַעֲרוֹ אֶל־קְצֵה הַחֲמֻשִׁים אֲשֶׁר בַּמַּחֲנֶה

 7:11 And thou shalt hear 8085 z8804 what x4100 they say; 1696 z8762 and afterward 310 shall thine hands 3027 be strengthened 2388 z8799 to go down 3381 z8804 unto the host. 4264 Then went he down 3381 z8799 with Purà פֻּרָה 6513 his servant 5288 unto x413 the outside 7097 of the armed men 2571 that x834 [were] in the host. 4264

וּמִדְיָן וַעֲמָלֵק וְכָל־בְּנֵי־קֶדֶם נֹפְלִים בָּעֵמֶק כָּאַרְבֶּה לָרֹב וְלִגְמַלֵּיהֶם אֵין מִסְפָּר כַּחוֹל שֶׁעַל־שְׂפַת הַיָּם לָרֹב

 7:12 And the Miđyänîm מִדיָנִים 4080 and the `Ámälëkîm עֲמָלֵקִים y6002 x6003 and all x3605 the children 1121 of the east 6924 lay 5307 z8802 along in the valley 6010 like grasshoppers 697 for multitude; 7230 and their camels 1581 [were] without x369 number, 4557 as the sand 2344 by x7945 x5921 the sea 3220 side 8193 for multitude. 7230

וַיָּבֹא גִדְעוֹן וְהִנֵּה־אִישׁ מְסַפֵּר לְרֵעֵהוּ חֲלוֹם וַיֹּאמֶר הִנֵּה חֲלוֹם חָלַמְתִּי וְהִנֵּה *צְלוֹל [צְלִיל] לֶחֶם שְׂעֹרִים מִתְהַפֵּךְ בְּמַחֲנֵה מִדְיָן וַיָּבֹא עַד־הָאֹהֶל וַיַּכֵּהוּ וַיִּפֹּל וַיַּהַפְכֵהוּ לְמַעְלָה וְנָפַל הָאֹהֶל

 7:13 And when Giđ`ôn גִּדעוֹן 1439 was come, 935 z8799 behold, x2009 [there was] a man 376 that told 5608 z8764 a dream 2472 unto his fellow, 7453 and said, 559 z8799 Behold, x2009 I dreamed 2492 z8804 a dream, 2472 and, lo, x2009 a cake 6742 z8675 of barley 8184 bread 3899 tumbled 2015 z8693 into the host 4264 of Miđyän מִדיָן, 4080 and came 935 z8799 unto x5704 a tent, 168 and smote 5221 z8686 it that it fell, 5307 z8799 and overturned 2015 4605 z8799 it, that the tent 168 lay along. 5307 z8804

וַיַּעַן רֵעֵהוּ וַיֹּאמֶר אֵין זֹאת בִּלְתִּי אִם־חֶרֶב גִּדְעוֹן בֶּן־יוֹאָשׁ אִישׁ יִשְׂרָאֵל נָתַן הָאֱלֹהִים בְּיָדוֹ אֶת־מִדְיָן וְאֶת־כָּל־הַמַּחֲנֶה פ

 7:15 ¶ And it was x1961 [so], when Giđ`ôn גִּדעוֹן 1439 heard 8085 z8800 x853 the telling 4557 of the dream, 2472 and the interpretation 7667 thereof, that he worshipped, 7812 z8691 and returned 7725 z8799 into x413 the host 4264 of Yiŝrä´ël יִשׂרָאֵל, 3478 and said, 559 z8799 Arise; 6965 z8798 for x3588 Yähwè יָהוֶה 3068 hath delivered 5414 z8804 into your hand 3027 x853 the host 4264 of Miđyän מִדיָן. 4080

וַיַּחַץ אֶת־שְׁלֹשׁ־מֵאוֹת הָאִישׁ שְׁלֹשָׁה רָאשִׁים וַיִּתֵּן שׁוֹפָרוֹת בְּיַד־כֻּלָּם וְכַדִּים רֵקִים וְלַפִּדִים בְּתוֹךְ הַכַּדִּים

 7:16 And he divided 2673 z8799 x853 the three 7969 hundred 3967 men 376 [into] three 7969 companies, 7218 and he put 5414 z8799 a trumpet 7782 in every man's x3605 hand, 3027 with empty 7386 pitchers, 3537 and lamps 3940 within 8432 the pitchers. 3537

וַיֹּאמֶר אֲלֵיהֶם מִמֶּנִּי תִרְאוּ וְכֵן תַּעֲשׂוּ וְהִנֵּה אָנֹכִי בָא בִּקְצֵה הַמַּחֲנֶה וְהָיָה כַאֲשֶׁר־אֶעֱשֶׂה כֵּן תַּעֲשׂוּן

 7:17 And he said 559 z8799 unto x413 them, Look 7200 z8799 on x4480 me, and do 6213 z8799 likewise: x3651 and, behold, x2009 when I x595 come 935 z8802 to the outside 7097 of the camp, 4264 it shall be x1961 [that], as x834 I do, 6213 z8799 so x3651 shall ye do. 6213 z8799

וְתָקַעְתִּי בַּשּׁוֹפָר אָנֹכִי וְכָל־אֲשֶׁר אִתִּי וּתְקַעְתֶּם בַּשּׁוֹפָרוֹת גַּם־אַתֶּם סְבִיבוֹת כָּל־הַמַּחֲנֶה וַאֲמַרְתֶּם לַיהוָה וּלְגִדְעוֹן פ

 7:18 w'täqa'Tiy BaSHôfär änokhiy w'khäl-ásher iTiy ût'qa'Tem BaSHôfärôt Gam-aTem š'viyvôt Käl-haMacháneh waámar'Tem layhwäh ûl'gid'ôn f

 7:18 When I blow 8628 z8804 with a trumpet, 7782 I x595 and all x3605 that x834 [are] with x854 me, then blow 8628 z8804 ye x859 the trumpets 7782 also x1571 on every side 5439 of all x3605 the camp, 4264 and say, 559 z8804 [The sword] of Yähwè יָהוֶה, 3068 and of Giđ`ôn גִּדעוֹן. 1439

וַיָּבֹא גִדְעוֹן וּמֵאָה־אִישׁ אֲשֶׁר־אִתּוֹ בִּקְצֵה הַמַּחֲנֶה רֹאשׁ הָאַשְׁמֹרֶת הַתִּיכוֹנָה אַךְ הָקֵם הֵקִימוּ אֶת־הַשֹּׁמְרִים וַיִּתְקְעוּ בַּשּׁוֹפָרוֹת וְנָפוֹץ הַכַּדִּים אֲשֶׁר בְּיָדָם

 7:19 waYävo gid'ôn ûmëäh-iysh ásher-iTô Biq'tzëh haMacháneh rosh häash'moret haTiykhônäh akh' häqëm hëqiymû et-haSHom'riym waYit'q'û BaSHôfärôt w'näfôtz haKaDiym ásher B'yädäm

 7:19 ¶ So Giđ`ôn גִּדעוֹן, 1439 and the hundred 3967 men 376 that x834 [were] with x854 him, came 935 z8799 unto the outside 7097 of the camp 4264 in the beginning 7218 of the middle 8484 watch; 821 and they had but 389 newly y6965 z8687 set 6965 z8689 x853 the watch: 8104 z8802 and they blew 8628 z8799 the trumpets, 7782 and brake 5310 z8800 the pitchers 3537 that x834 [were] in their hands. 3027

וַיִּתְקְעוּ שְׁלֹשֶׁת הָרָאשִׁים בַּשּׁוֹפָרוֹת וַיִּשְׁבְּרוּ הַכַּדִּים וַיַּחֲזִיקוּ בְיַד־שְׂמאוֹלָם בַּלַּפִּדִים וּבְיַד־יְמִינָם הַשּׁוֹפָרוֹת לִתְקוֹעַ וַיִּקְרְאוּ חֶרֶב לַיהוָה וּלְגִדְעוֹן

 7:20 waYit'q'û sh'loshet häräshiym BaSHôfärôt waYish'B'rû haKaDiym waYacháziyqû v'yad-s'môläm BaLaPidiym ûv'yad-y'miynäm haSHôfärôt lit'qôª waYiq'r'û cherev layhwäh ûl'gid'ôn

 7:20 And the three 7969 companies 7218 blew 8628 z8799 the trumpets, 7782 and brake 7665 z8799 the pitchers, 3537 and held 2388 z8686 the lamps 3940 in their left 8040 hands, 3027 and the trumpets 7782 in their right 3225 hands 3027 to blow 8628 z8800 [withal]: and they cried, 7121 z8799 The sword 2719 of Yähwè יָהוֶה, 3068 and of Giđ`ôn גִּדעוֹן. 1439

וַיַּעַמְדוּ אִישׁ תַּחְתָּיו סָבִיב לַמַּחֲנֶה וַיָּרָץ כָּל־הַמַּחֲנֶה וַיָּרִיעוּ *וַיָּנִיסוּ [וַיָּנוּסוּ]

וַיִּתְקְעוּ שְׁלֹשׁ־מֵאוֹת הַשּׁוֹפָרוֹת וַיָּשֶׂם יְהוָה אֵת חֶרֶב אִישׁ בְּרֵעֵהוּ וּבְכָל־הַמַּחֲנֶה וַיָּנָס הַמַּחֲנֶה עַד־בֵּית הַשִּׁטָּה צְרֵרָתָה עַד שְׂפַת־אָבֵל מְחוֹלָה עַל־טַבָּת
