וַיַּעֲלוּ מִן־הָעָם שָׁמָּה כִּשְׁלֹשֶׁת אֲלָפִים אִישׁ וַיָּנֻסוּ לִפְנֵי אַנְשֵׁי הָעָי

וְיִשְׁמְעוּ הַכְּנַעֲנִי וְכֹל יֹשְׁבֵי הָאָרֶץ וְנָסַבּוּ עָלֵינוּ וְהִכְרִיתוּ אֶת־שְׁמֵנוּ מִן־הָאָרֶץ וּמַה־תַּעֲשֵׂה לְשִׁמְךָ הַגָּדוֹל ס

וַיֹּאמֶר יְהוָה אֶל־יְהוֹשֻׁעַ קֻם לָךְ לָמָּה זֶּה אַתָּה נֹפֵל עַל־פָּנֶיךָ

חָטָא יִשְׂרָאֵל וְגַם עָבְרוּ אֶת־בְּרִיתִי אֲשֶׁר צִוִּיתִי אוֹתָם וְגַם לָקְחוּ מִן־הַחֵרֶם וְגַם גָּנְבוּ וְגַם כִּחֲשׁוּ וְגַם שָׂמוּ בִכְלֵיהֶם

וְלֹא יֻכְלוּ בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל לָקוּם לִפְנֵי אֹיְבֵיהֶם עֹרֶף יִפְנוּ לִפְנֵי אֹיְבֵיהֶם כִּי הָיוּ לְחֵרֶם לֹא אוֹסִיף לִהְיוֹת עִמָּכֶם אִם־לֹא תַשְׁמִידוּ הַחֵרֶם מִקִּרְבְּכֶם

 7:12 w'lo yukh'lû B'nëy yis'räël läqûm lif'nëy oy'vëyhem oref yif'nû lif'nëy oy'vëyhem Kiy häyû l'chërem lo ôšiyf lih'yôt iMäkhem im-lo tash'miydû hachërem miQir'B'khem

 7:12 Therefore the children 1121 of Yiŝrä´ël יִשׂרָאֵל 3478 could 3201 z8799 not x3808 stand 6965 z8800 before 6440 their enemies, 341 z8802 [but] turned 6437 z8799 [their] backs 6203 before 6440 their enemies, 341 z8802 because x3588 they were x1961 accursed: 2764 neither x3808 will I be x1961 with x5973 you any more, 3254 z8686 except 3808 x518 ye destroy 8045 z8686 the accursed 2764 from among 7130 x4480 you.

קֻם קַדֵּשׁ אֶת־הָעָם וְאָמַרְתָּ הִתְקַדְּשׁוּ לְמָחָר כִּי כֹה אָמַר יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל חֵרֶם בְּקִרְבְּךָ יִשְׂרָאֵל לֹא תוּכַל לָקוּם לִפְנֵי אֹיְבֶיךָ עַד־הֲסִירְכֶם הַחֵרֶם מִקִּרְבְּכֶם

וְנִקְרַבְתֶּם בַּבֹּקֶר לְשִׁבְטֵיכֶם וְהָיָה הַשֵּׁבֶט אֲשֶׁר־יִלְכְּדֶנּוּ יְהוָה יִקְרַב לַמִּשְׁפָּחוֹת וְהַמִּשְׁפָּחָה אֲשֶׁר־יִלְכְּדֶנָּה יְהוָה תִּקְרַב לַבָּתִּים וְהַבַּיִת אֲשֶׁר יִלְכְּדֶנּוּ יְהוָה יִקְרַב לַגְּבָרִים

 7:14 In the morning 1242 therefore ye shall be brought 7126 z8738 according to your tribes: 7626 and it shall be, x1961 [that] the tribe 7626 which x834 Yähwè יָהוֶה 3068 taketh 3920 z8799 shall come 7126 z8799 according to the families 4940 [thereof]; and the family 4940 which x834 Yähwè יָהוֶה 3068 shall take 3920 z8799 shall come 7126 z8799 by households; 1004 and the household 1004 which x834 Yähwè יָהוֶה 3068 shall take 3920 z8799 shall come 7126 z8799 man y1397 by man. 1397

וְהָיָה הַנִּלְכָּד בַּחֵרֶם יִשָּׂרֵף בָּאֵשׁ אֹתוֹ וְאֶת־כָּל־אֲשֶׁר־לוֹ כִּי עָבַר אֶת־בְּרִית יְהוָה וְכִי־עָשָׂה נְבָלָה בְּיִשְׂרָאֵל

וַיַּשְׁכֵּם יְהוֹשֻׁעַ בַּבֹּקֶר וַיַּקְרֵב אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵל לִשְׁבָטָיו וַיִּלָּכֵד שֵׁבֶט יְהוּדָה

וַיַּקְרֵב אֶת־מִשְׁפַּחַת יְהוּדָה וַיִּלְכֹּד אֵת מִשְׁפַּחַת הַזַּרְחִי וַיַּקְרֵב אֶת־מִשְׁפַּחַת הַזַּרְחִי לַגְּבָרִים וַיִּלָּכֵד זַבְדִּי

וַיַּקְרֵב אֶת־בֵּיתוֹ לַגְּבָרִים וַיִּלָּכֵד עָכָן בֶּן־כַּרְמִי בֶן־זַבְדִּי בֶּן־זֶרַח לְמַטֵּה יְהוּדָה

 7:19 And Yæhôšuå` יְהוֹשֻׁעַ 3091 said 559 z8799 unto x413 `Äȼän עָכָן, 5912 My son, 1121 give, 7760 z8798 I pray thee, x4994 glory 3519 to Yähwè יָהוֶה 3068 ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִים 430 of Yiŝrä´ël יִשׂרָאֵל, 3478 and make 5414 z8798 confession 8426 unto him; and tell 5046 z8685 me now x4994 what x4100 thou hast done; 6213 z8804 hide 3582 z8762 [it] not x408 from x4480 me.

וַיַּעַן עָכָן אֶת־יְהוֹשֻׁעַ וַיֹּאמַר אָמְנָה אָנֹכִי חָטָאתִי לַיהוָה אֱלֹהֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְכָזֹאת וְכָזֹאת עָשִׂיתִי

וַיִּשְׁלַח יְהוֹשֻׁעַ מַלְאָכִים וַיָּרֻצוּ הָאֹהֱלָה וְהִנֵּה טְמוּנָה בְּאָהֳלוֹ וְהַכֶּסֶף תַּחְתֶּיהָ

 7:22 ¶ So Yæhôšuå` יְהוֹשֻׁעַ 3091 sent 7971 z8799 messengers, 4397 and they ran 7323 z8799 unto the tent; 168 and, behold, x2009 [it was] hid 2934 z8803 in his tent, 168 and the silver 3701 under x8478 it.

וַיִּקָּחוּם מִתּוֹךְ הָאֹהֶל וַיְבִאוּם אֶל־יְהוֹשֻׁעַ וְאֶל כָּל־בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וַיַּצִּקֻם לִפְנֵי יְהוָה
