דַּבֵּר אֶל־בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל לֵאמֹר תְּנוּ לָכֶם אֶת־עָרֵי הַמִּקְלָט אֲשֶׁר־דִּבַּרְתִּי אֲלֵיכֶם בְּיַד־מֹשֶׁה

 20:2 DaBër el-B'nëy yis'räël lëmor T'nû läkhem et-ärëy haMiq'läţ ásher-DiBar'Tiy álëykhem B'yad-mosheh

לָנוּס שָׁמָּה רוֹצֵחַ מַכֵּה־נֶפֶשׁ בִּשְׁגָגָה בִּבְלִי־דָעַת וְהָיוּ לָכֶם לְמִקְלָט מִגֹּאֵל הַדָּם

 20:3 länûš shäMäh rôtzëªch maKëh-nefesh Bish'gägäh Biv'liy-däat w'häyû läkhem l'miq'läţ miGoël haDäm

 20:3 That the slayer 7523 z8802 that killeth 5221 z8688 [any] person 5315 unawares 7684 [and] unwittingly 1847 x1097 may flee 5127 z8800 thither: x8033 and they shall be x1961 your refuge 4733 from the avenger 1350 z8802 x4480 of blood. 1818

וְנָס אֶל־אַחַת מֵהֶעָרִים הָאֵלֶּה וְעָמַד פֶּתַח שַׁעַר הָעִיר וְדִבֶּר בְּאָזְנֵי זִקְנֵי הָעִיר־הַהִיא אֶת־דְּבָרָיו וְאָסְפוּ אֹתוֹ הָעִירָה אֲלֵיהֶם וְנָתְנוּ־לוֹ מָקוֹם וְיָשַׁב עִמָּם

 20:4 w'näš el-achat mëheäriym häëLeh w'ämad Petach shaar häiyr w'diBer B'äz'nëy ziq'nëy häiyr-hahiy et-D'väräyw w'äš'fû otô häiyräh álëyhem w'nät'nû-lô mäqôm w'yäshav iMäm

 20:4 And when he that doth flee 5127 z8804 unto x413 one 259 of those x428 cities 5892 x4480 shall stand 5975 z8804 at the entering 6607 of the gate 8179 of the city, 5892 and shall declare 1696 z8765 x853 his cause 1697 in the ears 241 of the elders 2205 of that x1931 city, 5892 they shall take 622 z8804 him into the city 5892 unto them, and give 5414 z8804 x413 him a place, 4725 that he may dwell 3427 z8804 among x5973 them.

וְכִי יִרְדֹּף גֹּאֵל הַדָּם אַחֲרָיו וְלֹא־יַסְגִּרוּ אֶת־הָרֹצֵחַ בְּיָדוֹ כִּי בִבְלִי־דַעַת הִכָּה אֶת־רֵעֵהוּ וְלֹא־שֹׂנֵא הוּא לוֹ מִתְּמוֹל שִׁלְשׁוֹם

 20:5 w'khiy yir'Dof Goël haDäm acháräyw w'lo-yaš'Girû et-härotzëªch B'yädô Kiy viv'liy-daat hiKäh et-rëëhû w'lo-sonë hû lô miT'môl shil'shôm

 20:5 And if x3588 the avenger 1350 z8802 of blood 1818 pursue 7291 z8799 after 310 him, then they shall not x3808 deliver 5462 z8686 x853 the slayer 7523 z8802 up into his hand; 3027 because x3588 he smote 5221 z8689 x853 his neighbour 7453 unwittingly, 1097 1847 and hated 8130 z8802 him not x3808 beforetime. 8543 8032

וְיָשַׁב בָּעִיר הַהִיא עַד־עָמְדוֹ לִפְנֵי הָעֵדָה לַמִּשְׁפָּט עַד־מוֹת הַכֹּהֵן הַגָּדוֹל אֲשֶׁר יִהְיֶה בַּיָּמִים הָהֵם אָז יָשׁוּב הָרוֹצֵחַ וּבָא אֶל־עִירוֹ וְאֶל־בֵּיתוֹ אֶל־הָעִיר אֲשֶׁר־נָס מִשָּׁם

 20:6 w'yäshav Bäiyr hahiy ad-äm'dô lif'nëy häëdäh laMish'Päţ ad-môt haKohën haGädôl ásher yih'yeh BaYämiym hähëm äz yäshûv härôtzëªch ûvä el-iyrô w'el-Bëytô el-häiyr ásher-näš miSHäm

 20:6 And he shall dwell 3427 z8804 in that x1931 city, 5892 until x5704 he stand 5975 z8800 before 6440 the congregation 5712 for judgment, 4941 [and] until x5704 the death 4194 of the high 1419 priest 3548 that 834 shall be x1961 in those x1992 days: 3117 then x227 shall the slayer 7523 z8802 return, 7725 z8799 and come 935 z8804 unto x413 his own city, 5892 and unto x413 his own house, 1004 unto x413 the city 5892 from whence x834 x4480 x8033 he fled. 5127 z8804

וַיַּקְדִּשׁוּ אֶת־קֶדֶשׁ בַּגָּלִיל בְּהַר נַפְתָּלִי וְאֶת־שְׁכֶם בְּהַר אֶפְרָיִם וְאֶת־קִרְיַת אַרְבַּע הִיא חֶבְרוֹן בְּהַר יְהוּדָה

 20:7 ¶ And they appointed 6942 z8686 x853 Keđeš קֶדֶשׁ 6943 in Gälîlà גָּלִילָה 1551 in mount 2022 Naftälî נַפתָּלִי, 5321 and Šæȼem שְׁכֶם 7927 in mount 2022 ´Efrayim אֶפרַיִם, 669 and Kiryaŧ ´Arba` קִריַת־אַרבַּע, 7153 which x1931 [is] Çevrôn חֶברוֹן, 2275 in the mountain 2022 of Yæhûđà יְהוּדָה. 3063

וּמֵעֵבֶר לְיַרְדֵּן יְרִיחוֹ מִזְרָחָה נָתְנוּ אֶת־בֶּצֶר בַּמִּדְבָּר בַּמִּישֹׁר מִמַּטֵּה רְאוּבֵן וְאֶת־רָאמֹת בַּגִּלְעָד מִמַּטֵּה־גָד וְאֶת־*גָּלוֹן [גּוֹלָן] בַּבָּשָׁן מִמַּטֵּה מְנַשֶּׁה

אֵלֶּה הָיוּ עָרֵי הַמּוּעָדָה לְכֹל בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וְלַגֵּר הַגָּר בְּתוֹכָם לָנוּס שָׁמָּה כָּל־מַכֵּה־נֶפֶשׁ בִּשְׁגָגָה וְלֹא יָמוּת בְּיַד גֹּאֵל הַדָּם עַד־עָמְדוֹ לִפְנֵי הָעֵדָה פ

 20:9 These x428 were x1961 the cities 5892 appointed 4152 for all x3605 the children 1121 of Yiŝrä´ël יִשׂרָאֵל, 3478 and for the stranger 1616 that sojourneth 1481 z8802 among 8432 them, that whosoever x3605 killeth 5221 z8688 [any] person 5315 at unawares 7684 might flee 5127 z8800 thither, x8033 and not x3808 die 4191 z8799 by the hand 3027 of the avenger 1350 z8802 of blood, 1818 until x5704 he stood 5975 z8800 before 6440 the congregation. 5712
