וַיִּשְׁלַח מַלְאָכִים אֶל־אַחְאָב מֶלֶךְ־יִשְׂרָאֵל הָעִירָה

וַיֹּאמֶר לוֹ כֹּה אָמַר בֶּן־הֲדַד כַּסְפְּךָ וּזְהָבְךָ לִי־הוּא וְנָשֶׁיךָ וּבָנֶיךָ הַטּוֹבִים לִי־הֵם

 20:3 Thy silver 3701 and thy gold 2091 [is] mine; thy wives 802 also and thy children, 1121 [even] the goodliest, 2896 [are] mine.

וַיַּעַן מֶלֶךְ־יִשְׂרָאֵל וַיֹּאמֶר כִּדְבָרְךָ אֲדֹנִי הַמֶּלֶךְ לְךָ אֲנִי וְכָל־אֲשֶׁר־לִי

 20:4 waYaan melekh'-yis'räël waYomer Kid'vär'khä ádoniy haMelekh' l'khä ániy w'khäl-ásher-liy

 20:4 And the king 4428 of Yiŝrä´ël יִשׂרָאֵל 3478 answered 6030 z8799 and said, 559 z8799 My ´áđôn אֲדוֹן, 113 O king, 4428 according to thy saying, 1697 I x589 [am] thine, and all x3605 that x834 I have.

וַיָּשֻׁבוּ הַמַּלְאָכִים וַיֹּאמְרוּ כֹּה־אָמַר בֶּן־הֲדַד לֵאמֹר כִּי־שָׁלַחְתִּי אֵלֶיךָ לֵאמֹר כַּסְפְּךָ וּזְהָבְךָ וְנָשֶׁיךָ וּבָנֶיךָ לִי תִתֵּן

כִּי אִם־כָּעֵת מָחָר אֶשְׁלַח אֶת־עֲבָדַי אֵלֶיךָ וְחִפְּשׂוּ אֶת־בֵּיתְךָ וְאֵת בָּתֵּי עֲבָדֶיךָ וְהָיָה כָּל־מַחְמַד עֵינֶיךָ יָשִׂימוּ בְיָדָם וְלָקָחוּ

וַיֹּאמֶר לְמַלְאֲכֵי בֶן־הֲדַד אִמְרוּ לַאדֹנִי הַמֶּלֶךְ כֹּל אֲשֶׁר־שָׁלַחְתָּ אֶל־עַבְדְּךָ בָרִאשֹׁנָה אֶעֱשֶׂה וְהַדָּבָר הַזֶּה לֹא אוּכַל לַעֲשׂוֹת וַיֵּלְכוּ הַמַּלְאָכִים וַיְשִׁבֻהוּ דָּבָר

וַיִּשְׁלַח אֵלָיו בֶּן־הֲדַד וַיֹּאמֶר כֹּה־יַעֲשׂוּן לִי אֱלֹהִים וְכֹה יוֹסִפוּ אִם־יִשְׂפֹּק עֲפַר שֹׁמְרוֹן לִשְׁעָלִים לְכָל־הָעָם אֲשֶׁר בְּרַגְלָי

 20:10 And Ben Háđađ בֶּן־הֲדַד 1130 sent 7971 z8799 unto x413 him, and said, 559 z8799 The ´élöhîm אֱלֹהִים 430 do x6213 so y6213 z8799 x3541 unto me, and more x3254 also, y3254 z8686 x3541 if x518 the dust 6083 of Šömrôn שֹׁמרוֹן 8111 shall suffice 5606 z8799 for handfuls 8168 for all x3605 the people 5971 that x834 follow 7272 me.

וַיַּעַן מֶלֶךְ־יִשְׂרָאֵל וַיֹּאמֶר דַּבְּרוּ אַל־יִתְהַלֵּל חֹגֵר כִּמְפַתֵּחַ

וַיְהִי כִּשְׁמֹעַ אֶת־הַדָּבָר הַזֶּה וְהוּא שֹׁתֶה הוּא וְהַמְּלָכִים בַּסֻּכּוֹת וַיֹּאמֶר אֶל־עֲבָדָיו שִׂימוּ וַיָּשִׂימוּ עַל־הָעִיר

 20:13 ¶ And, behold, x2009 there came 5066 z8738 a 259 prophet 5030 unto x413 ´Aç´äv אַחאָב 256 king 4428 of Yiŝrä´ël יִשׂרָאֵל, 3478 saying, 559 z8799 Thus x3541 saith 559 z8804 Yähwè יָהוֶה, 3068 Hast thou seen 7200 z8804 x853 all x3605 this x2088 great 1419 multitude? 1995 behold, x2009 I will deliver 5414 z8802 it into thine hand 3027 this day; 3117 and thou shalt know 3045 z8804 that x3588 I x589 [am] Yähwè יָהוֶה. 3068

וַיֹּאמֶר אַחְאָב בְּמִי וַיֹּאמֶר כֹּה־אָמַר יְהוָה בְּנַעֲרֵי שָׂרֵי הַמְּדִינוֹת וַיֹּאמֶר מִי־יֶאְסֹר הַמִּלְחָמָה וַיֹּאמֶר אָתָּה

 20:14 And ´Aç´äv אַחאָב 256 said, 559 z8799 By whom? x4310 And he said, 559 z8799 Thus x3541 saith 559 z8804 Yähwè יָהוֶה, 3068 [Even] by the young men 5288 of the princes 8269 of the provinces. 4082 Then he said, 559 z8799 Who x4310 shall order 631 z8799 the battle? 4421 And he answered, 559 z8799 Thou. x859

וַיִּפְקֹד אֶת־נַעֲרֵי שָׂרֵי הַמְּדִינוֹת וַיִּהְיוּ מָאתַיִם שְׁנַיִם וּשְׁלֹשִׁים וְאַחֲרֵיהֶם פָּקַד אֶת־כָּל־הָעָם כָּל־בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל שִׁבְעַת אֲלָפִים

 20:16 And they went out 3318 z8799 at noon. 6672 But Ben Háđađ בֶּן־הֲדַד 1130 [was] drinking 8354 z8802 himself drunk 7910 in the pavilions, 5521 he x1931 and the kings, 4428 the thirty 7970 and two 8147 kings 4428 that helped 5826 z8802 him.

וַיֵּצְאוּ נַעֲרֵי שָׂרֵי הַמְּדִינוֹת בָּרִאשֹׁנָה וַיִּשְׁלַח בֶּן־הֲדַד וַיַּגִּידוּ לוֹ לֵאמֹר אֲנָשִׁים יָצְאוּ מִשֹּׁמְרוֹן

 20:17 And the young men 5288 of the princes 8269 of the provinces 4082 went out 3318 z8799 first; 7223 and Ben Háđađ בֶּן־הֲדַד 1130 sent out, 7971 z8799 and they told 5046 z8686 him, saying, 559 z8800 There are men y582 x376 come out 3318 z8804 of Šömrôn שֹׁמרוֹן. 8111 x4480

וַיֹּאמֶר אִם־לְשָׁלוֹם יָצָאוּ תִּפְשׂוּם חַיִּים וְאִם לְמִלְחָמָה יָצָאוּ חַיִּים תִּפְשׂוּם

 20:18 waYomer im-l'shälôm yätzäû Tif'sûm chaYiym w'im l'mil'chämäh yätzäû chaYiym Tif'sûm

 20:18 And he said, 559 z8799 Whether x518 they be come out 3318 z8804 for peace, 7965 take 8610 z8798 them alive; 2416 or whether x518 they be come out 3318 z8804 for war, 4421 take 8610 z8798 them alive. 2416

וְאֵלֶּה יָצְאוּ מִן־הָעִיר נַעֲרֵי שָׂרֵי הַמְּדִינוֹת וְהַחַיִל אֲשֶׁר אַחֲרֵיהֶם

 20:19 w'ëLeh yätz'û min-häiyr naárëy särëy haM'diynôt w'hachayil ásher achárëyhem

וַיַּכּוּ אִישׁ אִישׁוֹ וַיָּנֻסוּ אֲרָם וַיִּרְדְּפֵם יִשְׂרָאֵל וַיִּמָּלֵט בֶּן־הֲדַד מֶלֶךְ אֲרָם עַל־סוּס וּפָרָשִׁים

 20:22 ¶ And the prophet 5030 came 5066 z8799 to x413 the king 4428 of Yiŝrä´ël יִשׂרָאֵל, 3478 and said 559 z8799 unto him, Go, y3212 z8798 x1980 strengthen y2388 z8690 thyself, x2388 and mark, 3045 z8798 and see 7200 z8798 x853 what x834 thou doest: 6213 z8799 for x3588 at the return 8666 of the year 8141 the king 4428 of ´Áräm אֲרָם 758 will come up 5927 z8802 against x5921 thee.

וְעַבְדֵי מֶלֶךְ־אֲרָם אָמְרוּ אֵלָיו אֱלֹהֵי הָרִים אֱלֹהֵיהֶם עַל־כֵּן חָזְקוּ מִמֶּנּוּ וְאוּלָם נִלָּחֵם אִתָּם בַּמִּישׁוֹר אִם־לֹא נֶחֱזַק מֵהֶם

 20:23 And the servants 5650 of the king 4428 of ´Áräm אֲרָם 758 said 559 z8804 unto x413 him, Their ´élöhîm אֱלֹהִים 430 [are] ´élöhîm אֱלֹהִים 430 of the hills; 2022 therefore x5921 x3651 they were stronger 2388 z8804 than x4480 we; but 199 let us fight 3898 z8735 against x854 them in the plain, 4334 and surely y3808 x518 we shall be stronger 2388 z8799 x3808 than x4480 they.

וְאֶת־הַדָּבָר הַזֶּה עֲשֵׂה הָסֵר הַמְּלָכִים אִישׁ מִמְּקֹמוֹ וְשִׂים פַּחוֹת תַּחְתֵּיהֶם

וְאַתָּה תִמְנֶה־לְךָ חַיִל כַּחַיִל הַנֹּפֵל מֵאוֹתָךְ וְסוּס כַּסּוּס וְרֶכֶב כָּרֶכֶב וְנִלָּחֲמָה אוֹתָם בַּמִּישׁוֹר אִם־לֹא נֶחֱזַק מֵהֶם וַיִּשְׁמַע לְקֹלָם וַיַּעַשׂ כֵּן פ

וַיְהִי לִתְשׁוּבַת הַשָּׁנָה וַיִּפְקֹד בֶּן־הֲדַד אֶת־אֲרָם וַיַּעַל אֲפֵקָה לַמִּלְחָמָה עִם־יִשְׂרָאֵל

וּבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל הָתְפָּקְדוּ וְכָלְכְּלוּ וַיֵּלְכוּ לִקְרָאתָם וַיַּחֲנוּ בְנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵל נֶגְדָּם כִּשְׁנֵי חֲשִׂפֵי עִזִּים וַאֲרָם מִלְאוּ אֶת־הָאָרֶץ

וַיַּחְגְּרוּ שַׂקִּים בְּמָתְנֵיהֶם וַחֲבָלִים בְּרָאשֵׁיהֶם וַיָּבֹאוּ אֶל־מֶלֶךְ יִשְׂרָאֵל וַיֹּאמְרוּ עַבְדְּךָ בֶן־הֲדַד אָמַר תְּחִי־נָא נַפְשִׁי וַיֹּאמֶר הַעוֹדֶנּוּ חַי אָחִי הוּא

וְהָאֲנָשִׁים יְנַחֲשׁוּ וַיְמַהֲרוּ וַיַּחְלְטוּ הֲמִמֶּנּוּ וַיֹּאמְרוּ אָחִיךָ בֶן־הֲדַד וַיֹּאמֶר בֹּאוּ קָחֻהוּ וַיֵּצֵא אֵלָיו בֶּן־הֲדַד וַיַּעֲלֵהוּ עַל־הַמֶּרְכָּבָה

וַיֹּאמֶר לוֹ יַעַן אֲשֶׁר לֹא־שָׁמַעְתָּ בְּקוֹל יְהוָה הִנְּךָ הוֹלֵךְ מֵאִתִּי וְהִכְּךָ הָאַרְיֵה וַיֵּלֶךְ מֵאֶצְלוֹ וַיִּמְצָאֵהוּ הָאַרְיֵה וַיַּכֵּהוּ

וַיִּמְצָא אִישׁ אַחֵר וַיֹּאמֶר הַכֵּינִי נָא וַיַּכֵּהוּ הָאִישׁ הַכֵּה וּפָצֹעַ

 20:37 waYim'tzä iysh achër waYomer haKëyniy nä waYaKëhû häiysh haKëh ûfätzoª

וַיֵּלֶךְ הַנָּבִיא וַיַּעֲמֹד לַמֶּלֶךְ עַל־הַדָּרֶךְ וַיִּתְחַפֵּשׂ בָּאֲפֵר עַל־עֵינָיו
