 45:1 ¶
And Joseph could not refrain himself when all were standing by him, but said, Dismiss all from me; and no one stood near Joseph, when he made himself known to his brethren. |
|
 45:1 ¶
Then Josephº
couldºº
notº
refrainºº
himselfº
before allº
them that stoodºº
byº
him; and he cried,ºº
Causeºº
everyº
manº
to go outºº
fromºº
me. And there stoodºº
noº
manº
withº
him, while Josephº
made himself knownºº
untoº
his brethren.º |
 45:2
And he uttered his voice with weeping; and all the Mizraimites{gr.Egyptians} heard, and it was reported to the house of Pharaoh{gr.Pharao}. |
 45:2
And he weptºº
aloud:ººººº
and the Egyptiansº
and the houseº
of Pharaohº
heard.ºº |
 45:3
And Joseph said to his brethren, I am Joseph; doth my father yet live? And his brethren could not answer him, for they were troubled. |
 45:3
And Josephº
saidºº
untoº
his brethren,º
Iº
[am] Joseph;º
doth my fatherº
yetº
live?º
And his brethrenº
couldºº
notº
answerºº
him; forº
they were troubledºº
at his presence.ºº |
 45:4
And Joseph said to his brethren, Draw nigh to me; and they drew nigh; and he said, I am your brother Joseph, whom ye sold into Mizraim{gr.Egypt}. |
 45:4
And Josephº
saidºº
untoº
his brethren,º
Come nearºº
toº
me, I pray you.º
And they came near.ºº
And he said,ºº
Iº
[am] Josephº
your brother,º
whomº
ye soldºº
into Egypt.º |
 45:5
Now then be not grieved, and let it not seem hard to you that ye sold me hither, for God sent me before you for life. |
 45:5
Nowº
therefore be notº
grieved,ºº
norº
angryºº
with yourselves,º
thatº
ye soldºº
me hither:º
forº
Elohimº
did sendºº
me beforeº
youº
to preserve life.º |
 45:6
For this second year there is famine on the earth, and there are yet five years remaining, in which there is to be neither ploughing, nor mowing. |
 45:6
Forº
theseº
two yearsº
[hath] the famineº
[been] inº
the land:º
and yetº
[there are] fiveº
years,º
in the whichº
[there shall] neitherº
[be] earingº
nor harvest.º |
 45:7
For God sent me before you, that there might be left to you a remnant upon the earth, even to nourish a great remnant of you. |
 45:7
And Elohimº
sentºº
me beforeº
youº
to preserveºº
you a posterityº
in the earth,º
and to save your livesºº
by a greatº
deliverance.º |
 45:8
Now then ye did not send me hither, but God; and he hath made me as a father of Pharaoh{gr.Pharao}, and lord of all his house, and ruler of all the land of Mizraim{gr.Egypt}. |
 45:8
So nowº
[it was] notº
youº
[that] sentºº
me hither,º
butº
Elohim:º
and he hath madeºº
me a fatherº
to Pharaoh,º
and adonº
of allº
his house,º
and a rulerºº
throughout allº
the landº
of Egypt.º |
 45:9
Hasten, therefore, and go up to my father, and say to him, These things saith thy son Joseph; God has made me lord of all the land of Mizraim{gr.Egypt}; come down therefore to me, and tarry not. |
 45:9
Hasteºº
ye, and go upºº
toº
my father,º
and sayºº
untoº
him, Thusº
saithºº
thy sonº
Joseph,º
Elohimº
hath madeºº
me adonº
of allº
Egypt:º
come downºº
untoº
me, tarryºº
not:º |
 45:10
And thou shalt dwell in the land of Goshen{gr.Gesem} of Arabia; and thou shalt be near me, thou and thy sons, and thy sons' sons, thy sheep and thine oxen, and whatsoever things are thine. |
 45:10
And thou shalt dwellºº
in the landº
of Goshen,º
and thou shalt beº
nearº
untoº
me, thou,º
and thy children,º
and thy children'sº
children,º
and thy flocks,º
and thy herds,º
and allº
thatº
thou hast: |
 45:11
And I will nourish thee there: for the famine is yet for five years; lest thou be consumed, and thy sons, and all thy possessions. |
 45:11
And thereº
will I nourishºº
thee; forº
yetº
[there are] fiveº
yearsº
of famine;º
lestº
thou,º
and thy household,º
and allº
thatº
thou hast, come to poverty.ºº |
 45:12
Behold, your eyes see, and the eyes of my brother Benjamin, that it is my mouth that speaks to you. |
 45:12
And, behold,º
your eyesº
see,ºº
and the eyesº
of my brotherº
Benjamin,º
thatº
[it is] my mouthº
that speakethºº
untoº
you. |
 45:13
Report, therefore, to my father all my glory in Mizraim{gr.Egypt}, and all things that ye have seen, and make haste and bring down my father hither. |
 45:13
And ye shall tellºº
my fatherº
ofº
allº
my gloryº
in Egypt,º
and of allº
thatº
ye have seen;ºº
and ye shall hasteºº
and bring downººº
my fatherº
hither.º |
 45:14
And he fell on his brother Benjamin's neck, and wept on him; and Benjamin wept on his neck. |
 45:14
And he fellºº
uponº
his brotherº
Benjamin'sº
neck,º
and wept;ºº
and Benjaminº
weptºº
uponº
his neck.º |
 45:15
And he kissed all his brethren, and wept on them; and after these things his brethren spoke to him. |
 45:15
Moreover he kissedºº
allº
his brethren,º
and weptºº
uponº
them: and afterº
thatº
his brethrenº
talkedºº
withº
him. |
 45:16 ¶
And the report was carried into the house of Pharaoh{gr.Pharao}, saying, Joseph's brethren are come; and Pharaoh{gr.Pharao} was glad, and his household. |
 45:16 ¶
And the fameº
thereof was heardºº
in Pharaoh'sº
house,º
saying,ºº
Joseph'sº
brethrenº
are come:ºº
and it pleasedººº
Pharaohº
well,ºººº
andº
his servants.º |
 45:17
And Pharaoh{gr.Pharao} said to Joseph, Say to thy brethren, Do this; fill your waggons, and depart into the land of Canaan{gr.Chanaan}. |
 45:17
And Pharaohº
saidºº
untoº
Joseph,º
Sayºº
untoº
thy brethren,º
Thisº
doºº
ye; ladeººº
your beasts,º
and go,ººº
getºº
you unto the landº
of Canaan;º |
 45:18
And take up your father, and your possessions, and come to me; and I will give you of all the goods of Mizraim{gr.Egypt}, and ye shall eat the marrow of the land. |
 45:18
And takeººº
your fatherº
and your households,º
and comeºº
untoº
me: and I will giveºº
youº
the goodº
of the landº
of Egypt,º
and ye shall eatººº
the fatº
of the land.º |
 45:19
And do thou charge them thus; that they should take for them waggons out of the land of Mizraim{gr.Egypt}, for your little ones, and for your wives; and take up your father, and come. |
 45:19
Now thouº
art commanded,ºº
thisº
doºº
ye; takeºº
you wagonsº
out of the landºº
of Egyptº
for your little ones,º
and for your wives,º
and bringººº
your father,º
and come.ºº |
 45:20
And be not sparing in regard to your property, for all the good of Mizraim{gr.Egypt} shall be yours. |
 45:20
Alsoº
regardººº
notº
your stuff;º
forº
the goodº
of allº
the landº
of Egyptº
[is] yours. |
 45:21
And the children of Israel did so; and Joseph gave to them waggons, according to the words spoken by king Pharaoh{gr.Pharao}; and he gave them provision for the journey. |
 45:21
And the childrenº
of Israelº
didºº
so:º
and Josephº
gaveºº
them wagons,º
according toº
the commandmentº
of Pharaoh,º
and gaveºº
them provisionº
for the way.º |
 45:22
And he gave to them all two sets of raiment apiece; but to Benjamin he gave three hundred pieces of gold, and five changes of raiment. |
 45:22
To allº
of them he gaveºº
each manº
changesº
of raiment;º
but to Benjaminº
he gaveºº
threeº
hundredº
[pieces] of silver,º
and fiveº
changesº
of raiment.º |
 45:23
And to his father he sent [presents] at the same rate, and ten asses, bearing some of all the good things of Mizraim{gr.Egypt}, and ten mules, bearing bread for his father for thy journey. |
 45:23
And to his fatherº
he sentºº
after thisº
[manner]; tenº
assesº
ladenºº
with the good thingsºº
of Egypt,º
and tenº
she assesº
ladenºº
with cornº
and breadº
and meatº
for his fatherº
by the way.º |
 45:24
And he sent away his brethren, and they went; and he said to them, Be not angry by the way. |
 45:24
So he sentººº
his brethrenº
away,ºº
and they departed:ººº
and he saidºº
untoº
them, See that ye fall not outººº
by the way.º |
 45:25 ¶
And they went up out of Mizraim{gr.Egypt}, and came into the land of Canaan{gr.Chanaan}, to Jacob their father. |
 45:25 ¶
And they went upºº
out of Egypt,ºº
and cameºº
into the landº
of Canaanº
untoº
Jacobº
their father,º |
 45:26
And they reported to him, saying, Thy son Joseph is living, and he is ruler over all the land of Mizraim{gr.Egypt}; and Jacob was amazed, for he did not believe them. |
 45:26
And toldºº
him, saying,ºº
Josephº
[is] yetº
alive,º
and heº
[is] governorºº
over allº
the landº
of Egypt.º
And Jacob's heartº
fainted,ºº
forº
he believedºº
them not.º |
 45:27
But they spoke to him all the words uttered by Joseph, whatsoever he said to them; and having seen the chariots which Joseph sent to take him up, the spirit of Jacob their father revived. |
 45:27
And they toldººº
himº
allº
the wordsº
of Joseph,º
whichº
he had saidºº
untoº
them: and when he sawººº
the wagonsº
whichº
Josephº
had sentºº
to carryºº
him, the spiritº
of Jacobº
their fatherº
revived:ºº |
 45:28
And Israel said, It is a great thing for me if Joseph my son is yet alive. I will go and see him before I die. |
 45:28
And Israelº
said,ºº
[It is] enough;º
Josephº
my sonº
[is] yetº
alive:º
I will goººº
and seeº
himºº
beforeº
I die.ºº |
