 10:1 ¶ Now these [are] the generations of the sons of Noah{gr.Noe}, Shem{gr.Sem}, Ham{gr.Cham}, Japheth; and sons were born to them after the flood.

 10:1 ¶ Now these° [are] the generations° of the sons° of Noah,° Shem,° Ham,° and Japheth:° and unto them were sons° born°° after° the flood.°

 10:2 The sons of Japheth, Gamer, and Magog, and Madoi, and Jovan, and Elisa, and Tubal{gr.Thobel}, and Mosoch, and Thiras.

 10:2 The sons° of Japheth;° Gomer,° and Magog,° and Madai,° and Javan,° and Tubal,° and Meshech,° and Tiras.°

 10:3 And the sons of Gamer, Aschanaz, and Riphath, and Thorgama.

 10:3 And the sons° of Gomer;° Ashkenaz,° and Riphath,° and Togarmah.°

 10:4 And the sons of Jovan, Elisa, and Tharseis, Cetians, Rhodians.

 10:4 And the sons° of Javan;° Elishah,° and Tarshish,° Kittim,° and Dodanim.°

 10:5 From these were the islands of the Gentiles divided in their land, each according to his tongue, in their tribes and in their nations.

 10:5 By these°° were the isles° of the Gentiles° divided° in°° their lands;° every one° after his tongue,° after their families,° in their nations.°

 10:6 ¶ And the sons of Ham{gr.Cham}, Chus, and Mesrain, Phud, and Canaan{gr.Chanaan}.

 10:6 ¶ And the sons° of Ham;° Cush,° and Mizraim,° and Phut,° and Canaan.°

 10:7 And the sons of Chus, Sheba{gr.Saba}, and Evila, and Sabatha, and Rhegma, and Sabathaca. And the sons of Rhegma, Sheba{gr.Saba}, and Dadan.

 10:7 And the sons° of Cush;° Seba,° and Havilah,° and Sabtah,° and Raamah,° and Sabtecha:° and the sons° of Raamah;° Sheba,° and Dedan.°

 10:8 And Chus begot Nebrod: he began to be a giant upon the earth.

 10:8 And Cush° begat°°° Nimrod:° he° began°° to be°° a mighty one° in the earth.°

 10:9 He was a giant hunter before the Lord God; therefore they say, As Nebrod the giant hunter before the Lord.

 10:9 He° was° a mighty° hunter° before° Yahweh:° wherefore°° it is said,°° Even as Nimrod° the mighty° hunter° before° Yahweh.°

 10:10 And the beginning of his kingdom was Babylon, and Orech, and Archad, and Chalanne, in the land of Senaar.

 10:10 And the beginning° of his kingdom° was° Babel,° and Erech,° and Accad,° and Calneh,° in the land° of Shinar.°

 10:11 Out of that land came Asshur{gr.Assur}, and built Nineveh{gr.Ninevi}, and the city Rhooboth, and Chalach,

 10:11 Out of° that° land° went forth°° Asshur,° and builded°°° Nineveh,° and the city° Rehoboth,° and Calah,°

 10:12 and Dase between Nineveh{gr.Ninevi} and Chalach: this is the great city.

 10:12 And Resen° between° Nineveh° and Calah:° the same° [is] a great° city.°

 10:13 And Mesrain begot the Ludiim, and the Naphtali{gr.Nephthalim}, and the Enemetiim, and the Labiim,

 10:13 And Mizraim° begat°°° Ludim,° and Anamim,° and Lehabim,° and Naphtuhim,°

 10:14 and the Patrosoniim, and the Chasmoniim (whence came forth Philistim{gr.Phylistiim}) and the Gaphthoriim.

 10:14 And Pathrusim,° and Casluhim,° (out of whom°°° came°° Philistim,)° and Caphtorim.°

 10:15 ¶ And Canaan{gr.Chanaan} begot Zidon{gr.Sidon} his fist-born, and the Hittite{gr.Chettite},

 10:15 ¶ And Canaan° begat°°° Sidon° his firstborn,° and Heth,°

 10:16 and the Jebusite, and the Amorite, and the Girgashite,

 10:16 And the Jebusite,° and the Amorite,° and the Girgasite,°

 10:17 and the Hivite{gr.Evite}, and the Arukite, and the Asennite,

 10:17 And the Hivite,° and the Arkite,° and the Sinite,°

 10:18 and the Aradian, and the Samarean, and the Amathite; and after this the tribes of the Canaanites{gr.Chananites} were dispersed.

 10:18 And the Arvadite,° and the Zemarite,° and the Hamathite:° and afterward° were the families° of the Canaanites° spread abroad.°°

 10:19 And the boundaries of the Canaanites{gr.Chananites} were from Zidon{gr.Sidon} till one comes to Gerar{gr.Gerara} and Gaza, till one comes to Sodom and Gomorrah{gr.Gomorrha}, Adama and Seboim, as far as Dasa.

 10:19 And the border° of the Canaanites° was° from Sidon,°° as thou comest°° to Gerar,° unto° Gaza;° as thou goest,°° unto Sodom,° and Gomorrah,° and Admah,° and Zeboim,° even unto° Lasha.°

 10:20 There [were] the sons of Ham{gr.Cham} in their tribes according to their tongues, in their countries, and in their nations.

 10:20 These° [are] the sons° of Ham,° after their families,° after their tongues,° in their countries,° [and] in their nations.°

 10:21 ¶ And to Shem{gr.Sem} himself also were children born, the father of all the sons of Eber{gr.Heber}, the brother of Japheth the elder.

 10:21 ¶ Unto Shem° also, the father° of all° the children° of Eber,° the brother° of Japheth° the elder,° even° to him° were [children] born.°°

 10:22 Sons of Shem{gr.Sem}, Elam, and Asshur{gr.Assur}, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Syria{gr.Aram}, and Cainan.

 10:22 The children° of Shem;° Elam,° and Asshur,° and Arphaxad,° and Lud,° and Aram.°

 10:23 And sons of Syria{gr.Aram}, Uz, and Ul, and Gater, and Mosoch.

 10:23 And the children° of Aram;° Uz,° and Hul,° and Gether,° and Mash.°

 10:24 And Arphaxad begot Cainan, and Cainan begot Sala. And Sala begot Eber{gr.Heber}.

 10:24 And Arphaxad° begat°°° Salah;° and Salah° begat°°° Eber.°

 10:25 And to Eber{gr.Heber} were born two sons, the name of the one, Phaleg, because in his days the earth was divided, and the name of his brother Jektan.

 10:25 And unto Eber° were born°° two° sons:° the name° of one° [was] Peleg;° for° in his days° was the earth° divided;°° and his brother's° name° [was] Joktan.°

 10:26 And Jektan begot Elmodad, and Saleth, and Sarmoth, and Jarach,

 10:26 And Joktan° begat°°° Almodad,° and Sheleph,° and Hazarmaveth,° and Jerah,°

 10:27 and Odorrha, and Aibel, and Decla,

 10:27 And Hadoram,° and Uzal,° and Diklah,°

 10:28 Eval, and Abimael, and Sheba{gr.Saba},

 10:28 And Obal,° and Abimael,° and Sheba,°

 10:29 and Uphir, and Evila, and Jobab, all these were the sons of Jektan.

 10:29 And Ophir,° and Havilah,° and Jobab:° all° these° [were] the sons° of Joktan.°

 10:30 And their dwelling was from Masse, till one comes to Saphera, a mountain of the east.

 10:30 And their dwelling° was° from Mesha,°° as thou goest°° unto Sephar° a mount° of the east.°

 10:31 These were the sons of Shem{gr.Sem} in their tribes, according to their tongues, in their countries, and in their nations.

 10:31 These° [are] the sons° of Shem,° after their families,° after their tongues,° in their lands,° after their nations.°

 10:32 These are the tribes of the sons of Noah{gr.Noe}, according to their generations, according to their nations: of them were the islands of the Gentiles scattered over the earth after the flood.

 10:32 These° [are] the families° of the sons° of Noah,° after their generations,° in their nations:° and by these°° were the nations° divided°° in the earth° after° the flood.°
