 8:1 ¶ And it came to pass° at the end°° of twenty° years,° wherein° Šælömò שְׁלֹמֹה° had built°° the house° of Yähwè יָהוֶה,° and his own house,°

 8:1 ¶ And it came to pass at the end of twenty years, wherein Shelomoh had built the house of Yahweh, and his own house,

 8:2 That the cities° which° Çûräm חוּרָם°° had restored°° to Šælömò שְׁלֹמֹה,° Šælömò שְׁלֹמֹה° built°° them, and caused° the children° of Yiŝrä´ël יִשׂרָאֵל° to dwell°° there.°

 8:2 That the cities which Churam had restored to Shelomoh, Shelomoh built them, and caused the children of Yisrael to dwell there.

 8:3 And Šælömò שְׁלֹמֹה° went°°° to Çámäŧ Xôvà חֲמָת־צוֹבָה,° and prevailed°° against° it.

 8:3 And Shelomoh went to Chamath-Tzovah, and prevailed against it.

 8:4 And he built°°° Tađmör תַּדמֹר° in the wilderness,° and all° the store° cities,° which° he built°° in Çámäŧ חֲמָת.°

 8:4 And he built Tadmor in the wilderness, and all the store cities, which he built in Chamath.

 8:5 Also he built°°° Bêŧ Çôrôn בֵּית־חוֹרוֹן° the upper,° and Bêŧ Çôrôn בֵּית־חוֹרוֹן° the nether,° fenced° cities,° with walls,° gates,° and bars;°

 8:5 Also he built Beth-Choron the upper, and Beth-Choron the nether, fenced cities, with walls, gates, and bars;

 8:6 And Ba`áläŧ בַּעֲלָת,° and all° the store° cities° that° Šælömò שְׁלֹמֹה° had,° and all° the chariot° cities,° and the cities° of the horsemen,° and all° that° Šælömò שְׁלֹמֹה° desired°°° to build°° in Yærûšälaim יְרוּשָׁלִַם,° and in Lævänôn לְבָנוֹן,° and throughout all° the land° of his dominion.°

 8:6 And Baalath, and all the store cities that Shelomoh had, and all the chariot cities, and the cities of the horsemen, and all that Shelomoh desired to build in Yerushalaim, and in Levanon, and throughout all the land of his dominion.

 8:7 ¶ [As for] all° the people° [that were] left°° of° the Çittîm חִתִּים,° and the ´Émörîm אֱמֹרִים,° and the Pærizzîm פְּרִזִּים,° and the Çiwwîm חִוִּים,° and the Yævûsîm יְבוּסִים,° which° [were] not° of Yiŝrä´ël יִשׂרָאֵל,°°

 8:7 ¶ [As for] all the people [that were] left of the Chittim, and the Emorim, and the Perizzim, and the Chiwwim, and the Yevusim, which [were] not of Yisrael,

 8:8 [But] of° their children,° who° were left°° after° them in the land,° whom° the children° of Yiŝrä´ël יִשׂרָאֵל° consumed°° not,° them did Šælömò שְׁלֹמֹה° make to pay°° tribute° until° this° day.°

 8:8 [But] of their children, who were left after them in the land, whom the children of Yisrael consumed not, them did Shelomoh make to pay tribute until this day.

 8:9 But of° the children° of Yiŝrä´ël יִשׂרָאֵל° did Šælömò שְׁלֹמֹה° make°° no° servants° for his work;° but° they° [were] men°° of war,° and chief° of his captains,° and captains° of his chariots° and horsemen.°

 8:9 But of the children of Yisrael did Shelomoh make no servants for his work; but they [were] men of war, and chief of his captains, and captains of his chariots and horsemen.

 8:10 And these° [were] the chief° of king° Šælömò's שְׁלֹמֹה° officers,°°°° [even] two hundred° and fifty,° that bare rule°° over the people.°

 8:11 ¶ And Šælömò שְׁלֹמֹה° brought up°° the daughter° of Par`ò פַּרעֹה° out of the city°° of Däwiđ דָּוִד° unto the house° that° he had built°° for her: for° he said,°° My wife° shall not° dwell°° in the house° of Däwiđ דָּוִד° king° of Yiŝrä´ël יִשׂרָאֵל,° because° [the places are] holy,° whereunto°° the ark° of Yähwè יָהוֶה° hath come.°°

 8:11 ¶ And Shelomoh brought up the daughter of Paroh out of the city of Dawid unto the house that he had built for her: for he said, My wife shall not dwell in the house of Dawid king of Yisrael, because [the places are] holy, whereunto the ark of Yahweh hath come.

 8:12 ¶ Then° Šælömò שְׁלֹמֹה° offered°° burnt offerings° unto Yähwè יָהוֶה° on° the altar° of Yähwè יָהוֶה,° which° he had built°° before° the porch,°

 8:12 ¶ Then Shelomoh offered burnt offerings unto Yahweh on the altar of Yahweh, which he had built before the porch,

 8:13 Even after a certain rate° every day,° offering°° according to the commandment° of Möšè מֹשֶׁה,° on the sabbaths,° and on the new moons,° and on the solemn feasts,° three° times° in the year,° [even] in the feast° of unleavened bread,° and in the feast° of weeks,° and in the feast° of tabernacles.°

 8:13 Even after a certain rate every day, offering according to the commandment of Mosheh, on the sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the solemn feasts, three times in the year, [even] in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles.

 8:14 ¶ And he appointed,°° according to the order° of Däwiđ דָּוִד° his father,°° the courses° of the priests° to° their service,° and the Læwiyyim לְוִיִּם° to° their charges,° to praise°° and minister°° before° the priests,° as the duty° of every day° required:° the porters° also by their courses° at every gate:° for° so° had Däwiđ דָּוִד° the man° of ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִים° commanded.°

 8:14 ¶ And he appointed, according to the order of Dawid his father, the courses of the priests to their service, and the Lewiyyim to their charges, to praise and minister before the priests, as the duty of every day required: the porters also by their courses at every gate: for so had Dawid the man of Elohim commanded.

 8:15 And they departed°° not° from the commandment° of the king° unto° the priests° and Læwiyyim לְוִיִּם° concerning any° matter,° or concerning the treasures.°

 8:15 And they departed not from the commandment of the king unto the priests and Lewiyyim concerning any matter, or concerning the treasures.

 8:16 Now all° the work° of Šælömò שְׁלֹמֹה° was prepared°° unto° the day° of the foundation° of the house° of Yähwè יָהוֶה,° and until° it was finished.°° [So] the house° of Yähwè יָהוֶה° was perfected.°

 8:16 Now all the work of Shelomoh was prepared unto the day of the foundation of the house of Yahweh, and until it was finished. [So] the house of Yahweh was perfected.

 8:17 ¶ Then° went°° Šælömò שְׁלֹמֹה° to `Exyôn Gever עֶציוֹן־גֶּבֶר,° and to° ´Ëlôŧ אֵלוֹת,° at° the sea° side° in the land° of ´Éđôm אֱדוֹם.°

 8:17 ¶ Then went Shelomoh to Etzyon-Gever, and to Eloth, at the sea side in the land of Edom.

 8:18 And Çûräm חוּרָם° sent°° him by the hands° of his servants° ships,°° and servants° that had knowledge°° of the sea;° and they went°° with° the servants° of Šælömò שְׁלֹמֹה° to ´Ôfîr אוֹפִיר,° and took°° thence°° four° hundred° and fifty° talents° of gold,° and brought°° [them] to° king° Šælömò שְׁלֹמֹה.°

 8:18 And Churam sent him by the hands of his servants ships, and servants that had knowledge of the sea; and they went with the servants of Shelomoh to Ofir, and took thence four hundred and fifty talents of gold, and brought [them] to king Shelomoh.
