Yærûšà
יְרוּשָׁה,°
the daughter°
of
Xäđôk
צָדוֹק.° |

27:1 ¶
Yotham [was] twenty and five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Yerushalaim. His mother's name also [was] Yerushah, the daughter of Tzadoq. |

And he did°°
[that which was] right°
in the sight°
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה,°
according to all°
that°
his father°
`Uzziyyà
עֻזִּיָּה°
did:°°
howbeit°
he entered°°
not°
into°
the temple°
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה.°
And the people°
did yet corruptly.°°° |

And he did [that which was] right in the sight of Yahweh, according to all that his father Uzziyyah did: howbeit he entered not into the temple of Yahweh. And the people did yet corruptly. |

the high°
gate°
of the house°
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה,°
and on the wall°
of
`Öfel
עֹפֶל°
he built°°
much.° |

He built the high gate of the house of Yahweh, and on the wall of Ofel he built much. |

Moreover he built°°
cities°
in the mountains°
of
Yæhûđà
יְהוּדָה,°
and in the forests°
he built°°
castles°
and towers.° |

Moreover he built cities in the mountains of Yehudah, and in the forests he built castles and towers. |

27:5 ¶
He°
fought°°
also with°
the king°
of the
`Ammönîm
עַמֹּנִים,°°°
and prevailed°°
against°
them. And the children°
of
`Ammôn
עַמּוֹן°
gave°°
him the same°
year°
an hundred°
talents°
of silver,°
and ten°
thousand°
measures°
of wheat,°
and ten°
thousand°
of barley.°
So much°
did the children°
of
`Ammôn
עַמּוֹן°
pay°°
unto°
him, both the second°
year,°
and the third.° |

He fought also with the king of the Ammonim, and prevailed against them. And the children of Ammon gave him the same year an hundred talents of silver, and ten thousand measures of wheat, and ten thousand of barley. So much did the children of Ammon pay unto him, both the second year, and the third. |

אֱלֹהִים.° |

So Yotham became mighty, because he prepared his ways before Yahweh his Elohim. |

Now the rest°
of the acts°

יוֹתָם,°
and all°
his wars,°
and his ways,°
lo,°
they [are] written°°
in°
the book°
of the kings°
of
Yiŝrä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל°
and
Yæhûđà
יְהוּדָה.° |

Now the rest of the acts of Yotham, and all his wars, and his ways, lo, they [are] written in the book of the kings of Yisrael and Yehudah. |

his fathers,°
and they buried°°
him in the city°
of
Däwiđ
דָּוִד:°
and
´Äçäz
אָחָז°
his son°
reigned°°
in his stead.° |

And Yotham slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city of Dawid: and Achaz his son reigned in his stead. |
