out of the hand°°

Pælištîm
פְּלִשׁתִּים.° |

18:1 ¶
Now after this it came to pass, that Dawid smote the Pelishtim, and subdued them, and took Gath and her towns out of the hand of the Pelishtim. |

And he smote°°°
Mô´äv
מוֹאָב;°
and the
Mô´ävîm
מוֹאָבִים°
became°
Däwiđ's
דָּוִד°
servants,°
[and] brought°°
gifts.° |

And he smote Moav; and the Moavim became Dawid's servants, [and] brought gifts. |

unto
Çámäŧ
חֲמָת,°
as he went°°°
to stablish°°
his dominion°
by the river°

18:3 ¶
And Dawid smote Hadadezer king of Tzovah unto Chamath, as he went to stablish his dominion by the river Perath. |

18:4
And

from°
him a thousand°
chariots,°
and seven°
thousand°
horsemen,°
and twenty°
thousand°
footmen:°°
Däwiđ
דָּוִד°
also houghed°°°
all°
the chariot°
[horses], but reserved°°
of°
them an hundred°
chariots.° |

And Dawid took from him a thousand chariots, and seven thousand horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen: Dawid also houghed all the chariot [horses], but reserved of them an hundred chariots. |

And when the

thousand°

And when the Arammim of Dammaseq came to help Hadadezer king of Tzovah, Dawid slew of the Arammim two and twenty thousand men. |

´Áram Darmeŝek
אֲרַם־דַּרמֶשֶׂק;°°
and the
´Árammîm
אֲרַמִּים°
became°
Däwiđ's

servants,°

preserved°°
Däwiđ

whithersoever°°

Then Dawid put [garrisons] in Aram-Darmeseq; and the Arammim became Dawid's servants, [and] brought gifts. Thus Yahweh preserved Dawid whithersoever he went. |

of gold°

were°
on°
the servants°

הֲדַדעֶזֶר,°
and brought°°
them to
Yærûšälaim

And Dawid took the shields of gold that were on the servants of Hadadezer, and brought them to Yerushalaim. |

Likewise from

cities°

הֲדַדעֶזֶר,°
brought°°
Däwiđ
דָּוִד°
very°
much°
brass,°
wherewith

the brasen°
sea,°
and the pillars,°
and the vessels°
of brass.° |

Likewise from Tivchath, and from Kun, cities of Hadadezer, brought Dawid very much brass, wherewith Shelomoh made the brasen sea, and the pillars, and the vessels of brass. |

18:9 ¶
Now when

Now when Tou king of Chamath heard how Dawid had smitten all the host of Hadadezer king of Tzovah; |

He sent°°°

הֲדוֹרָם°
his son°
to°
king°
Däwiđ
דָּוִד,°
to enquire°°
of his welfare,°
and to congratulate°°
him, because°°
he had fought°°
against
Háđađ`ezer
הֲדַדעֶזֶר,°
and smitten°°
him; (for°
Háđađ`ezer
הֲדַדעֶזֶר°
had war°°°
with
Tö`û
תֹּעוּ;)°
and [with him] all manner°
of vessels°
of gold°
and silver°
and brass.° |

18:10
He sent Hadoram his son to king Dawid, to enquire of his welfare, and to congratulate him, because he had fought against Hadadezer, and smitten him; (for Hadadezer had war with Tou;) and [with him] all manner of vessels of gold and silver and brass. |
|
18:11 ¶
Them also°

the silver°
and the gold°
that°
he brought°°
from all°°
[these] nations;°

´Éđôm

Pælištîm
פְּלִשׁתִּים,°°

`Ámälëk

18:11 ¶
Them also king Dawid dedicated unto Yahweh, with the silver and the gold that he brought from all [these] nations; from Edom, and from Moav, and from the children of Ammon, and from the Pelishtim, and from Amaleq. |

Moreover

in the valley°

Moreover Avishay the son of Tzeruyah slew of the Adomim in the valley of salt eighteen thousand. |

garrisons°

´Éđôm
אֱדוֹם;°
and all°
the
´Áđômîm
אֲדוֹמִים°
became°
Däwiđ's
דָּוִד°
servants.°
Thus
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
preserved°°°
Däwiđ
דָּוִד°
whithersoever°°
he went.°° |

18:13 ¶
And he put garrisons in Edom; and all the Adomim became Dawid's servants. Thus Yahweh preserved Dawid whithersoever he went. |

18:14 ¶
So

יִשׂרָאֵל,°
and executed°°°
judgment°
and justice°
among all°
his people.° |

So Dawid reigned over all Yisrael, and executed judgment and justice among all his people. |

And Tzadoq the son of Achituv, and Avimelekh the son of Evyathar, [were] the priests; and Shawsha was scribe; |

And Benayah the son of Yehoyada [was] over the Kerethim and the Pelethim; and the sons of Dawid [were] chief about the king. |
