for the ark°

´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים,°
and pitched°°
for it a tent.° |

And [Dawid] made him houses in the city of Dawid, and prepared a place for the ark of Elohim, and pitched for it a tent. |

ought to carry°°°
the ark°
of
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים°
but°°
the
Læwiyyim
לְוִיִּם:°
for°
them hath
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
chosen°°
to carry°°°
the ark°
of
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים,°
and to minister°°
unto him for°
ever.°° |

15:2
Then Dawid said, None ought to carry the ark of Elohim but the Lewiyyim: for them hath Yahweh chosen to carry the ark of Elohim, and to minister unto him for ever. |
|

to°
Yærûšälaim
יְרוּשָׁלִַם,°
to bring up°°°
the ark°

Yähwè

for it. |

And Dawid gathered all Yisrael together to Yerushalaim, to bring up the ark of Yahweh unto his place, which he had prepared for it. |
|

Læwiyyim

And Dawid assembled the children of Aharon, and the Lewiyyim: |

And Dawid called for Tzadoq and Evyathar the priests, and for the Lewiyyim, for Uriel, Asayah, and Yoel, Shemayah, and Eliel, and Amminadav, |

And said°°
unto them, Ye°
[are] the chief°
of the fathers°
of the
Læwiyyim
לְוִיִּם:°
sanctify°°
yourselves,°
[both] ye°
and your brethren,°
that ye may bring up°°°
the ark°
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים°
of
Yiŝrä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל°
unto°
[the place that] I have prepared°°
for it. |

And said unto them, Ye [are] the chief of the fathers of the Lewiyyim: sanctify yourselves, [both] ye and your brethren, that ye may bring up the ark of Yahweh Elohim of Yisrael unto [the place that] I have prepared for it. |
|
15:13
For because°
ye°
[did it] not°
at the first,°°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
our
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים°
made a breach°°
upon us, for°
that we sought°°
him not°
after the due order.° |
|
15:13
For because ye [did it] not at the first, Yahweh our Elohim made a breach upon us, for that we sought him not after the due order. |
|
15:14
So the priests°
and the
Læwiyyim
לְוִיִּם°
sanctified°°
themselves°
to bring up°°°
the ark°
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים°
of
Yiŝrä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל.° |

15:14
So the priests and the Lewiyyim sanctified themselves to bring up the ark of Yahweh Elohim of Yisrael. |
|
15:15
And the children°
of the
Læwiyyim
לְוִיִּם°
bare°°°
the ark°
of
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים°
upon their shoulders°
with the staves°
thereon,°
as°
Möšè
מֹשֶׁה°
commanded°°
according to the word°
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה.° |

15:15
And the children of the Lewiyyim bare the ark of Elohim upon their shoulders with the staves thereon, as Mosheh commanded according to the word of Yahweh. |
|
15:16
And

to the chief°
of the
Læwiyyim
לְוִיִּם°
to appoint°°°
their brethren°
[to be] the singers°°
with instruments°
of musick,°
psalteries°
and harps°
and cymbals,°
sounding,°°
by lifting up°°
the voice°
with joy.° |

And Dawid spake to the chief of the Lewiyyim to appoint their brethren [to be] the singers with instruments of musick, psalteries and harps and cymbals, sounding, by lifting up the voice with joy. |
|
15:17
So the

So the Lewiyyim appointed Heman the son of Yoel; and of his brethren, Asaf the son of Berekhyah; and of the sons of Merari their brethren, Ethan the son of Qushayah; |

[degree],

עֹבֵד־אֱדוֹם,°

And with them their brethren of the second [degree], Zekharyah, Ben, and Yaaziel, and Shemiramoth, and Yeiel, and Unni, Eliav, and Benayah, and Maaseyah, and Mattithyah, and Eliflehu, and Miqneyah, and Oved-Edom, and Yeiel, the porters. |

So the singers,°°

[were appointed] to sound°°
with cymbals°
of brass;° |

So the singers, Heman, Asaf, and Ethan, [were appointed] to sound with cymbals of brass; |

שְׁמִירָמוֹת,°

מַעֲשֵׂיָה,°

with psalteries°

And Zekharyah, and Aziel, and Shemiramoth, and Yeiel, and Unni, and Eliav, and Maaseyah, and Benayah, with psalteries on Alamoth; |

And
Mattiŧyà
מַתִּתיָה,°
and
´Élîflëhû
אֱלִיפלֵהוּ,°
and
Miknëyà
מִקנֵיָה,°
and
`Övëđ ´Éđôm
עֹבֵד־אֱדוֹם,°
and
Yæ`î´ël
יְעִיאֵל,°
and
`Ázazyà
עֲזַזיָה,°
with harps°
on°
the
Šæmînîŧ
שְׁמִינִית°
to excel.°° |

And Mattithyah, and Eliflehu, and Miqneyah, and Oved-Edom, and Yeiel, and Azazyah, with harps on the Sheminith to excel. |

15:22
And
Cænanyà
כְּנַניָה,°
chief°
of the
Læwiyyim
לְוִיִּם,°
[was] for song:°
he instructed°
about the song,°
because°
he°
[was] skilful.°° |

And Kenanyah, chief of the Lewiyyim, [was] for song: he instructed about the song, because he [was] skilful. |
|
15:23
And
Bereȼyà
בֶּרֶכיָה°
and
´Elkänà
אֶלקָנָה°
[were] doorkeepers°
for the ark.° |
|
15:23
And Berekhyah and Elqanah [were] doorkeepers for the ark. |
|
15:24
And

שְׁבַניָה,°
and
Yæhôšäfäţ
יְהוֹשָׁפָט,°°
and
Næŧan´ël
נְתַנאֵל,°
and
`Ámäŝay
עֲמָשַׂי,°
and
Zæȼaryà
זְכַריָה,°

בְּנָיָה,°
and
´Élî`ezer
אֱלִיעֶזֶר,°
the priests,°
did blow°°°°
with the trumpets°
before°
the ark°
of
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים:°

עֹבֵד־אֱדוֹם°
and
Yæçiyyà
יְחִיָּה°
[were] doorkeepers°
for the ark.° |

15:24
And Shevanyah, and Yehoshafat, and Nethanel, and Amasay, and Zekharyah, and Benayah, and Eliezer, the priests, did blow with the trumpets before the ark of Elohim: and Oved-Edom and Yechiyyah [were] doorkeepers for the ark. |
|
15:25 ¶
So°
Däwiđ
דָּוִד,°
and the elders°
of
Yiŝrä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל,°
and the captains°
over thousands,°
went°°
to bring up°°°
the ark°
of the covenant°
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
out of°
the house°
of
`Övëđ ´Éđôm
עֹבֵד־אֱדוֹם°
with joy.° |

15:25 ¶
So Dawid, and the elders of Yisrael, and the captains over thousands, went to bring up the ark of the covenant of Yahweh out of the house of Oved-Edom with joy. |
|
15:26
And it came to pass,°
when
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים°
helped°°°
the
Læwiyyim
לְוִיִּם°
that bare°°
the ark°
of the covenant°
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה,°
that they offered°°
seven°
bullocks°
and seven°
rams.° |

15:26
And it came to pass, when Elohim helped the Lewiyyim that bare the ark of the covenant of Yahweh, that they offered seven bullocks and seven rams. |
|
15:27
And

דָּוִד°
[was] clothed°°
with a robe°
of fine linen,°
and all°
the
Læwiyyim
לְוִיִּם°
that bare°°°
the ark,°
and the singers,°°
and
Cænanyà
כְּנַניָה°
the master°
of the song°
with the singers:°°
Däwiđ
דָּוִד°
also [had] upon him an ephod°
of linen.° |

And Dawid [was] clothed with a robe of fine linen, and all the Lewiyyim that bare the ark, and the singers, and Kenanyah the master of the song with the singers: Dawid also [had] upon him an ephod of linen. |

Thus all°

brought up°°°
the ark°
of the covenant°
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
with shouting,°
and with sound°
of the cornet,°
and with trumpets,°
and with cymbals,°
making a noise°°
with psalteries°
and harps.° |

Thus all Yisrael brought up the ark of the covenant of Yahweh with shouting, and with sound of the cornet, and with trumpets, and with cymbals, making a noise with psalteries and harps. |

15:29 ¶
And it came to pass,°
[as] the ark°
of the covenant°
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
came°°
to°
the city°
of
Däwiđ
דָּוִד,°
that
Mîȼal
מִיכַל°
the daughter°
of
Šä´ûl
שָׁאוּל°
looking out°°
at°
a window°
saw°°°
king°
Däwiđ
דָּוִד°
dancing°°
and playing:°°
and she despised°°
him in her heart.° |

15:29 ¶
And it came to pass, [as] the ark of the covenant of Yahweh came to the city of Dawid, that Mikhal the daughter of Shaul looking out at a window saw king Dawid dancing and playing: and she despised him in her heart. |
