2 Chronicles 30

1 Hezekiah proclaimeth a solemn Passover on the second month for Judah and Israel. 13 The assembly, having destroyed the altars of idolatry, keep their feast fourteen days. 27 The priests and Levites bless the people.

 30:1 Now Hezekiah 2396 sent 7971 to all 3605 Israel 3478 and Judah 3063 and wrote 3789 letters 107 also 1571 to Ephraim 669 and Manasseh 4519, that they should come 935 to the house 1004 of the LORD 3068 at Jerusalem 3389 to celebrate 6213a the Passover 6453 to the LORD 3068 God 430 of Israel 3478.

 30:2 For the king 4428 and his princes 8269 and all 3605 the assembly 6951 in Jerusalem 3389 had decided 3289 to celebrate 6213a the Passover 6453 in the second 8145 month 2320,

 30:3 since 3588 they could 3201 not celebrate 6213a it at that time 6256, because 3588 the priests 3548 had not consecrated 6942 themselves in sufficient 1767 numbers 1767, nor 3808 had the people 5971a been gathered 622 to Jerusalem 3389.

 30:4 Thus the thing 1697 was right 3474 in the sight 5869 of the king 4428 and all 3605 the assembly 6951.

 30:5 So they established 5975 a decree 1697 to circulate 5674a a proclamation 6963 throughout all 3605 Israel 3478 from Beersheba 884 even to Dan 1835, that they should come 935 to celebrate 6213a the Passover 6453 to the LORD 3068 God 430 of Israel 3478 at Jerusalem 3389. For they had not celebrated 6213a [it] in great 7230 numbers 7230 as it was prescribed 3789.

 30:6 The couriers 7323 went 1980 throughout all 3605 Israel 3478 and Judah 3063 with the letters 107 from the hand 3027 of the king 4428 and his princes 8269, even according to the command 4687 of the king 4428, saying 559, “O sons 1121 of Israel 3478, return 7725 to the LORD 3068 God 430 of Abraham 85, Isaac 3327 and Israel 3478, that He may return 7725 to those of you who 6413 escaped 6413 [and] are left 7604 from the hand 3709 of the kings 4428 of Assyria 804b.

 30:7 “Do not be like your fathers 1 and your brothers 251, who 834 were unfaithful 4603 to the LORD 3068 God 430 of their fathers 1, so that He made 5414 them a horror 8047, as you see 7200.

 30:8 “Now 6258 do not stiffen 7185 your neck 6203 like your fathers 1, but yield 5414 3027 to the LORD 3068 and enter 935 His sanctuary 4720 which 834 He has consecrated 6942 forever 5769, and serve 5647 the LORD 3068 your God 430, that His burning 2740 anger 639 may turn 7725 away 7725 from you.

 30:9 “For if you return 7725 to the LORD 3068, your brothers 251 and your sons 1121 [will find] compassion 7356 before 6440 those who led 7617 them captive 7617 and will return 7725 to this 2088 land 776. For the LORD 3068 your God 430 is gracious 2587 and compassionate 7349, and will not turn 5493 [His] face 6440 away 5493 from you if 518 you return 7725 to Him.”

 30:10 ¶ So the couriers 7323 passed 5674a from city 5892b to city 5892b through the country 776 of Ephraim 669 and Manasseh 4519, and as far 5704 as Zebulun 2074, but they laughed 7832 them to scorn 7832 and mocked 3932 them.

 30:11 Nevertheless 389 some 4480 men 376 of Asher 836, Manasseh 4519 and Zebulun 2074 humbled 3665 themselves and came 935 to Jerusalem 3389.

 30:12 The hand 3027 of God 430 was also 1571 on Judah 3063 to give 5414 them one 259 heart 3820 to do 6213a what 4687 the king 4428 and the princes 8269 commanded 4687 by the word 1697 of the LORD 3068.

 30:13 ¶ Now many 7227a people 5971a were gathered 622 at Jerusalem 3389 to celebrate 6213a the Feast 2282 of Unleavened 4682 Bread 4682 in the second 8145 month 2320, a very 3966 large 7230 assembly 6951.

 30:14 They arose 6965 and removed 5493 the altars 4196 which 834 [were] in Jerusalem 3389; they also removed 5493 all 3605 the incense 4729c altars 4729c and cast 7993 [them] into the brook 5158a Kidron 6939.

 30:15 Then they slaughtered 7819 the Passover 6453 [lambs] on the fourteenth 702 6240 of the second 8145 month 2320. And the priests 3548 and Levites 3881 were ashamed 3637 of themselves, and consecrated 6942 themselves and brought 935 burnt 5930a offerings 5930a to the house 1004 of the LORD 3068.

 30:16 They stood 5975 at their stations 5977 after their custom 4941, according to the law 8451 of Moses 4872 the man 376 of God 430; the priests 3548 sprinkled 2236b the blood 1818 [which they received] from the hand 3027 of the Levites 3881.

 30:17 For [there were] many 7227a in the assembly 6951 who 834 had not consecrated 6942 themselves; therefore, the Levites 3881 [were] over 5921 the slaughter 7821b of the Passover 6453 [lambs] for everyone 3605 who [was] unclean 3808 2889, in order to consecrate 6942 [them] to the LORD 3068.

 30:18 For a multitude 4768 of the people 5971a, [even] many 7227a from Ephraim 669 and Manasseh 4519, Issachar 3485 and Zebulun 2074, had not purified 2891 themselves, yet 3588 they ate 398 the Passover 6453 otherwise 3808 than prescribed 3789. For Hezekiah 2396 prayed 6419 for them, saying 559, “May the good 2896a LORD 3068 pardon 3722a

 30:19 everyone 3605 who prepares 3559 his heart 3824 to seek 1875 God 430, the LORD 3068 God 430 of his fathers 1, though not according to the purification 2893 [rules] of the sanctuary 6944.”

 30:20 So the LORD 3068 heard 8085 Hezekiah 2396 and healed 7495 the people 5971a.

 30:21 The sons 1121 of Israel 3478 present 4672 in Jerusalem 3389 celebrated 6213a the Feast 2282 of Unleavened 4682 Bread 4682 [for] seven 7651 days 3117 with great 1419 joy 8057, and the Levites 3881 and the priests 3548 praised 1984b the LORD 3068 day 3117 after day 3117 with loud 5797 instruments 3627 to the LORD 3068.

 30:22 Then Hezekiah 2396 spoke 1696 encouragingly 5921 3820 to all 3605 the Levites 3881 who showed 7919a good 2896a insight 7922 [in the things] of the LORD 3068. So they ate 398 for the appointed 4150 seven 7651 days 3117, sacrificing 2076 peace 8002 offerings 8002 and giving 3034 thanks 3034 to the LORD 3068 God 430 of their fathers 1.

 30:23 ¶ Then the whole 3605 assembly 6951 decided 3289 to celebrate 6213a [the feast] another 312 seven 7651 days 3117, so they celebrated 6213a the seven 7651 days 3117 with joy 8057.

 30:24 For Hezekiah 2396 king 4428 of Judah 3063 had contributed 7311 to the assembly 6951 1,000 505 bulls 6499 and 7,000 7651 505 sheep 6629, and the princes 8269 had contributed 7311 to the assembly 6951 1,000 505 bulls 6499 and 10,000 6235 505 sheep 6629; and a large 7230 number 7230 of priests 3548 consecrated 6942 themselves.

 30:25 All 3605 the assembly 6951 of Judah 3063 rejoiced 8055, with the priests 3548 and the Levites 3881 and all 3605 the assembly 6951 that came 935 from Israel 3478, both the sojourners 1616 who came 935 from the land 776 of Israel 3478 and those living 3427 in Judah 3063.

 30:26 So there was great 1419 joy 8057 in Jerusalem 3389, because 3588 there was nothing 3808 like this 2088 in Jerusalem 3389 since 3588 the days 3117 of Solomon 8010 the son 1121 of David 1732, king 4428 of Israel 3478.

 30:27 Then the Levitical 3881 priests 3548 arose 6965 and blessed 1288 the people 5971a; and their voice 6963 was heard 8085 and their prayer 8605 came 935 to His holy 6944 dwelling 4583 place 4583, to heaven 8064.
