2 Chronicles 22

1 Ahaziah succeeding reigneth wickedly. 5 In his confederacy with Joram the son of Ahab, he is slain by Jehu. 10 Athaliah, destroying all the seed royal, save Joash, whom Jehoshabeath his aunt hid, usurped the kingdom.

 22:1 Then the inhabitants 3427 of Jerusalem 3389 made 4427a Ahaziah 274, his youngest 6996b son 1121, king 4427a in his place 8478, for the band 1416 of men who came 935 with the Arabs 6163a to the camp 4264 had slain 2026 all 3605 the older 7223 [sons]. So Ahaziah 274 the son 1121 of Jehoram 3088 king 4428 of Judah 3063 began to reign 4427a.

 22:2 Ahaziah 274 [was] twenty-two 705 8147 years 8141 old 1121 when he became 4427a king 4427a, and he reigned 4427a one 259 year 8141 in Jerusalem 3389. And his mother’s 517 name 8034 was Athaliah 6271, the granddaughter 1323 of Omri 6018.

 22:3 He also 1571 walked 1980 in the ways 1870 of the house 1004 of Ahab 256, for his mother 517 was his counselor 3289 to do 7561 wickedly 7561.

 22:4 He did 6213a evil 7451a in the sight 5869 of the LORD 3068 like the house 1004 of Ahab 256, for they were his counselors 3289 after 310 the death 4194 of his father 1, to his destruction 4889.

 22:5 He also 1571 walked 1980 according to their counsel 6098, and went 1980 with Jehoram 3088 the son 1121 of Ahab 256 king 4428 of Israel 3478 to wage 4421 war 4421 against 5921 Hazael 2371 king 4428 of Aram 758 at Ramoth-gilead 7433. But the Arameans 761 wounded 5221 Joram 3141.

 22:6 So he returned 7725 to be healed 7495 in Jezreel 3157 of the wounds 5221 which 834 they had inflicted 5221 on him at Ramah 7414, when he fought 3898a against 854 Hazael 2371 king 4428 of Aram 758.  22:7 ¶ Now the destruction 8395 of Ahaziah 274 was from God 430, in that he went 935 to Joram 3141. For when he came 935, he went 3318 out with Jehoram 3088 against 413 Jehu 3058 the son 1121 of Nimshi 5250, whom 834 the LORD 3068 had anointed 4886 to cut 3772 off 3772 the house 1004 of Ahab 256.

 22:8 It came 1961 about when Jehu 3058 was executing 8199 judgment 8199 on the house 1004 of Ahab 256, he found 4672 the princes 8269 of Judah 3063 and the sons 1121 of Ahaziah’s 274 brothers 251 ministering 8334 to Ahaziah 274, and slew 2026 them.

 22:9 He also sought 1245 Ahaziah 274, and they caught 3920 him while he was hiding 2244 in Samaria 8111; they brought 935 him to Jehu 3058, put 4191 him to death 4191 and buried 6912 him. For they said 559, “He is the son 1121 of Jehoshaphat 3092, who 834 sought 1875 the LORD 3068 with all 3605 his heart 3824.” So there 369 was no 369 one 369 of the house 1004 of Ahaziah 274 to retain 6113 the power 3581b of the kingdom 4467.

 22:10 ¶ Now when Athaliah 6271 the mother 517 of Ahaziah 274 saw 7200 that her son 1121 was dead 4191, she rose 6965 and destroyed 6 all 3605 the royal 4467 offspring 2233 of the house 1004 of Judah 3063.

 22:11 But Jehoshabeath 3090 the king’s 4428 daughter 1323 took 3947 Joash 3060 the son 1121 of Ahaziah 274, and stole 1589 him from among 8432 the king’s 4428 sons 1121 who were being put 4191 to death 4191, and placed 5414 him and his nurse 3243 in the bedroom 2315 4296. So Jehoshabeath 3090, the daughter 1323 of King 4428 Jehoram 3088, the wife 802 of Jehoiada 3077 the priest 3548 (for she was the sister 269 of Ahaziah 274), hid 5641 him from Athaliah 6271 so that she would not put 4191 him to death 4191.

 22:12 He was hidden 2244 with them in the house 1004 of God 430 six 8337a years 8141 while Athaliah 6271 reigned 4427a over 5921 the land 776.
