 62:1 ¶
[[For the end, a Psalm of David for Jeduthun{gr.Idithun}.]] Shall not my soul be subjected to God? for of him is my salvation. |
|
 62:1 ¶
[[To the chief Musician,ºº
toº
Jeduthun,º
A Psalmº
of David.]]º
Trulyº
my soulº
waitethº
uponº
Elohim:º
fromº
him [cometh] my salvation.º |
 62:2
For he is my God, and my saviour; my helper, I shall not be moved very much. |
 62:2
Heº
onlyº
[is] my rockº
and my salvation;º
[he is] my defence;º
I shall notº
be greatlyº
moved.ºº |
 62:3
How long will ye assault a man? ye are all slaughtering as with a bowed wall and a broken hedge. |
 62:3
How longºº
will ye imagine mischiefºº
againstº
a man?º
ye shall be slainºº
allº
of you: as a bowingºº
wallº
[shall ye be, and as] a totteringºº
fence.º |
 62:4
They only took counsel to set at nought mine honour: I ran in thirst: with their mouth they blessed, but with their heart they cursed. Pause. |
 62:4
They onlyº
consultºº
to cast [him] downºº
from his excellency:ºº
they delightºº
in lies:º
they blessºº
with their mouth,º
but they curseºº
inwardly.º
Selah.º |
 62:5
Nevertheless do thou, my soul, be subjected to God; for of him [is] my patient hope. |
 62:5
My soul,º
waitºº
thou onlyº
upon Elohim;º
forº
my expectationº
[is] fromº
him. |
 62:6
For he [is] my God and my Saviour; my helper, I shall not be moved. |
 62:6
Heº
onlyº
[is] my rockº
and my salvation:º
[he is] my defence;º
I shall notº
be moved.ºº |
 62:7
In God [is] my salvation and my glory: [he is] the God of my help, and my hope is in God. |
 62:7
Inº
Elohimº
[is] my salvationº
and my glory:º
the rockº
of my strength,º
[and] my refuge,º
[is] in Elohim.º |
 62:8
Hope in him, all ye congregation of the people; pour out your hearts before him, for God is our helper. Pause. |
 62:8
Trustºº
in him at allº
times;º
[ye] people,º
pour outºº
your heartº
beforeº
him: Elohimº
[is] a refugeº
for us. Selah.º |
 62:9
But the sons of men are vain; the sons of men are false, so as to be deceitful in the balances; they are all alike [formed] out of vanity. |
 62:9
Surelyº
menºº
of low degreeºº
[are] vanity,º
[and] menº
of high degreeºº
[are] a lie:º
to be laidºº
in the balance,º
theyº
[are] altogetherº
[lighter] than vanity.ºº |
 62:10
Trust not in unrighteousness, and lust not after robberies: if wealth should flow in, set not your heart upon it. |
 62:10
Trustºº
notº
in oppression,º
and become not vainººº
in robbery:º
ifº
richesº
increase,ºº
setºº
notº
your heartº
[upon them]. |
 62:11
God has spoken once, [and] I have heard these two things, that power is of God; |
 62:11
Elohimº
hath spokenºº
once;º
twiceº
have I heardºº
this;º
thatº
powerº
[belongeth] unto Elohim.º |
 62:12
and mercy is thine, O Lord; for thou wilt recompense every one according to his works. |
 62:12
Also unto thee, O Yahweh,º
[belongeth] mercy:º
forº
thouº
renderestºº
to every manº
according to his work.º |
