 131:1 ¶ [[A Song of Degrees.]] O Lord, my heart is not exalted, neither have mine eyes been [haughtily] raised: neither have I exercised myself in great [matters], nor in things too wonderful for me.

 131:1 ¶ [[A Song° of degrees° of David.]]° Yahweh,° my heart° is not° haughty,°° nor° mine eyes° lofty:°° neither° do I exercise°° myself in great matters,° or in things too high°° for° me.

 131:2 [I shall have sinned] if I have not been humble, but have exulted my soul: according to [the relation of] a weaned child to his mother, so wilt thou recompense my soul.

 131:2 Surely°° I have behaved°° and quieted°° myself,° as a child that is weaned°° of° his mother:° my soul° [is] even as a weaned child.°°

 131:3 Let Israel hope in the Lord, from henceforth and for ever.
