Brenton's Septuagint (LXX) - Holy Name KJV
LXX < < Isaiah{gr.Esaias} 6 > > KJV
1 Isaiah, in a vision of Yahweh in his glory, 5 being terrified, is confirmed for his message. 9 He sheweth the obstinacy of the people unto their desolation. 13 A remnant shall be saved.
6:1 ¶
And it came to pass in the year in which king Uzziah{gr.Ozias} died, [that] I saw the Lord sitting on a high and exalted throne, and the house was full of his glory. |
|
6:1 ¶
In the year°
that king°
Uzziah°
died°
I saw°°
also°
Yahweh°
sitting°°
upon°
a throne,°
high°°
and lifted up,°°
and his train°
filled°°°
the temple.° |
6:2
And seraphs stood round about him: each one had six wings: and with two they covered [their] face, and with two they covered [their] feet, and with two they flew. |
|
6:2
Above°°
it stood°°
the seraphims:°
each one°
had six°
wings;°°
with twain°
he covered°°
his face,°
and with twain°
he covered°°
his feet,°
and with twain°
he did fly.°° |
6:3
And one cried to the other, and they said, Holy, holy, holy [is the] Lord of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory. |
|
6:3
And one cried°°
unto°°
another,°
and said,°°
Holy,°
holy,°
holy,°
[is] Yahweh°
Sabaoth:°
the whole°
earth°
[is] full°
of his glory.° |
6:4
And the lintel shook at the voice they uttered, and the house was filled with smoke. |
|
6:4
And the posts°
of the door°
moved°°
at the voice°°
of him that cried,°°
and the house°
was filled°°
with smoke.° |
6:5 ¶
And I said, Woe is me, for I am pricked to the heart; for being a man, and having unclean lips, I dwell in the midst of a people having unclean lips; and I have seen with mine eyes the King, the Lord of hosts. |
|
6:5 ¶
Then said°°
I, Woe°
[is] me! for°
I am undone;°°
because°
I°
[am] a man°
of unclean°
lips,°
and I°
dwell°°
in the midst°
of a people°
of unclean°
lips:°
for°
mine eyes°
have seen°°°
the King,°
Yahweh°
Sabaoth.° |
6:6
And there was sent to me one of the seraphs, and he had in his hand a coal, which he had taken off the altar with the tongs: |
|
6:6
Then flew°°
one°
of°
the seraphims°
unto°
me, having a live coal°
in his hand,°
[which] he had taken°°
with the tongs°
from off°°
the altar:° |
6:7
and he touched my mouth, and said, Behold, this has touched thy lips, and will take away thine iniquities, and will purge off thy sins. |
|
6:7
And he laid°°
[it] upon°
my mouth,°
and said,°°
Lo,°
this°
hath touched°°°
thy lips;°
and thine iniquity°
is taken away,°°
and thy sin°
purged.°° |
6:8
And I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go to this people? And I said, behold, I am [here], send me. And he said, Go, and say to this people, |
|
6:8
Also I heard°°°
the voice°
of Yahweh,°
saying,°°°
Whom°
shall I send,°°
and who°
will go°°°
for us? Then said°°
I, Here [am] I;°
send°°
me. |
6:9 ¶
Ye shall hear indeed, but ye shall not understand; and ye shall see indeed, but ye shall not perceive. |
|
6:9 ¶
And he said,°°
Go,°°°
and tell°°
this°
people,°
Hear°°
ye indeed,°°
but understand°°
not;°
and see°°
ye indeed,°°
but perceive°°
not.° |
6:10
For the heart of this people has become gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them. |
|
6:10
Make the heart°
of this°
people°
fat,°°°
and make their ears°
heavy,°°
and shut°°
their eyes;°
lest°
they see°°
with their eyes,°
and hear°°
with their ears,°
and understand°°
with their heart,°
and convert,°°
and be healed.°° |
6:11
And I said, How long, O Lord? And he said, Until cities be deserted by reason of their not being inhabited, and the houses by reason of there being no men, and the land shall be left desolate. |
|
6:11
Then said°°
I, Yahweh,°
how long?°°
And he answered,°°
Until°°
the cities°
be wasted°°
without°°
inhabitant,°°
and the houses°
without°°
man,°
and the land°
be utterly°
desolate,°° |
6:12
And after this God shall remove the men far off, and they that are left upon the land shall be multiplied. |
|
6:12
And Yahweh°
have removed°°
men°
far away,°°°°
and [there be] a great°
forsaking°
in the midst°
of the land.° |
6:13 ¶
And yet there shall be a tenth upon it, and again it shall be for a spoil, as a turpentine tree, and as an acorn when it falls out of its husk. |
|
6:13 ¶
But yet°
in it [shall be] a tenth,°
and [it] shall return,°°
and shall be°
eaten:°°
as a teil tree,°
and as an oak,°
whose°
substance°
[is] in them, when they cast°
[their leaves: so] the holy°
seed°
[shall be] the substance°
thereof. |
