 25:1 ¶ And king David and the captains of the host appointed to their services the sons of Asaph, and of Heman{gr.Aeman}, and of Jeduthun{gr.Idithun}, prophesiers with harps, and lutes, and cymbals: and their number was according to their polls serving in their ministrations.

 25:1 ¶ Moreover Davidº and the captainsº of the hostº separatedºº to the serviceº of the sonsº of Asaph,º and of Heman,º and of Jeduthun,º who should prophesyºººº with harps,º with psalteries,º and with cymbals:º and the numberº of the workmenººº according to their serviceº was:º

 25:2 The sons of Asaph; Sacchur, Joseph, and Nethaniah{gr.Nathanias}, and Erael: the sons of Asaph [were] next the king.

 25:2 Of the sonsº of Asaph;º Zaccur,º and Joseph,º and Nethaniah,º and Asarelah,º the sonsº of Asaphº underº the handsº of Asaph,º which prophesiedºº according toº the orderº of the king.º

 25:3 To Jeduthun{gr.Idithun} [were reckoned] the sons of Jeduthun{gr.Idithun}, Gedaliah{gr.Godolias}, and Suri, and Iseas, and Hashabiah{gr.Asabias}, and Matthathias, six after their father Jeduthun{gr.Idithun}, sounding loudly on the harp thanksgiving and praise to the Lord.

 25:3 Of Jeduthun:º the sonsº of Jeduthun;º Gedaliah,º and Zeri,º and Jeshaiah,º Hashabiah,º and Mattithiah,º six,º underº the handsº of their fatherº Jeduthun,º who prophesiedºº with a harp,º toº give thanksºº and to praiseºº Yahweh.º

 25:4 To Heman{gr.Aeman} [were reckoned] the sons of Heman{gr.Aeman}, Bukias, and Mattaniah{gr.Matthanias}, and Uzziel{gr.Oziel}, and Subael, and Jerimoth, and Hananiah{gr.Ananias}, and Hanan{gr.Anan}, and Heliatha, and Godollathi, and Rometthiezer, and Jesbasaca, and Mallithi, and Otheri, and Meazoth.

 25:4 Of Heman:º the sonsº of Heman;º Bukkiah,º Mattaniah,º Uzziel,º Shebuel,º and Jerimoth,º Hananiah,º Hanani,º Eliathah,º Giddalti,º and Romamtiezer,º Joshbekashah,º Mallothi,º Hothir,º [and] Mahazioth:º

 25:5 All these [were] the sons of Heman{gr.Aeman} the king's chief player in the praises of God, to lift up the horn. And God gave to Heman{gr.Aeman} fourteen sons, and three daughters.

 25:5 Allº theseº [were] the sonsº of Hemanº the king'sº seerº in the wordsº of Elohim,º to lift upºº the horn.º And Elohimº gaveºº to Hemanº fourteenºº sonsº and threeº daughters.º

 25:6 All these sang hymns with their father in the house of God, with cymbals, and lutes, and harps, for the service of the house of God, near the king, and Asaph, and Jeduthun{gr.Idithun}, and Heman{gr.Aeman}.

 25:6 Allº theseº [were] underº the handsº of their fatherº for songº [in] the houseº of Yahweh,º with cymbals,º psalteries,º and harps,º for the serviceº of the houseº of Elohim,º according toº the king'sº orderº to Asaph,º Jeduthun,º and Heman.º

 25:7 And the number of them after their brethren, those instructed to sing to God, every one that understood [singing] was two hundred and eighty-eight.

 25:7 So the numberº of them, withº their brethrenº that were instructedºº in the songsº of Yahweh,º [even] allº that were cunning,ºº wasº two hundredº fourscoreº and eight.º

 25:8 ¶ And they also cast lots for the daily courses, for the great and the small [of them], of the perfect ones and the learners.

 25:8 ¶ And they castºº lots,º wardº againstº [ward], as well the smallº as the great,º the teacherºº asº the scholar.º

 25:9 And the first lot of his sons and of his brethren came forth to Asaph the son of Joseph, [namely], Gedaliah{gr.Godolias}: the second Heneia, his sons and his brethren [being] twelve.

 25:9 Now the firstº lotº came forthºº for Asaphº to Joseph:º the secondº to Gedaliah,º whoº with his brethrenº and sonsº [were] twelve:ºº

 25:10 The third Zaccur{gr.Zacchur}, his sons and his brethren [were] twelve:

 25:10 The thirdº to Zaccur,º [he], his sons,º and his brethren,º [were] twelve:ºº

 25:11 the fourth Jesri, his sons and his brethren [were] twelve:

 25:11 The fourthº to Izri,ºº [he], his sons,º and his brethren,º [were] twelve:ºº

 25:12 the fifth Nathan, his sons and his brethren, twelve:
