And all the children of Yisrael murmured against Mosheh and against Aharon: and the whole congregation said unto them, Would God that we had died in the land of Mitzrayim! or would God we had died in this wilderness! |

And wherefore°
hath

יָהוֶה°
brought°°
us unto°
this°
land,°
to fall°°
by the sword,°
that our wives°
and our children°
should be°
a prey?°
were it not°
better°
for us to return°°
into
Mixrayim
מִצרַיִם?° |

And wherefore hath Yahweh brought us unto this land, to fall by the sword, that our wives and our children should be a prey? were it not better for us to return into Mitzrayim? |

Let us make°°
a captain,°
and let us return°°

Mixrayim

Then Mosheh and Aharon fell on their faces before all the assembly of the congregation of the children of Yisrael. |

Nûn
נוּן,°
and
Cälëv
כָּלֵב°
the son°
of
Yæfunnè
יְפֻנֶּה,°
[which were] of°
them that searched°°°
the land,°
rent°°
their clothes:° |

And Yehoshua the son of Nun, and Kalev the son of Yefunneh, [which were] of them that searched the land, rent their clothes: |

And they spake°°
unto°
all°
the company°
of the children°
of
Yiŝrä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל,°
saying,°°
The land,°
which°
we passed°°
through°
to search°°
it, [is] an exceeding°
good°
land.° |

And they spake unto all the company of the children of Yisrael, saying, The land, which we passed through to search it, [is] an exceeding good land. |

If°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
delight°°
in us, then he will bring°°
us into°
this°
land,°
and give°°
it us; a land°
which°
floweth°°
with milk°
and honey.° |

If Yahweh delight in us, then he will bring us into this land, and give it us; a land which floweth with milk and honey. |

ye against

יָהוֶה,°
neither°
fear°°
ye°°
the people°
of the land;°
for°
they°
[are] bread°
for us: their defence°
is departed°°
from°°
them, and
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
[is] with°
us: fear°°
them not.° |

Only rebel not ye against Yahweh, neither fear ye the people of the land; for they [are] bread for us: their defence is departed from them, and Yahweh [is] with us: fear them not. |

the congregation°
bade°°
stone°°
them with stones.°
And the glory°
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
appeared°°
in the tabernacle°
of the congregation°
before°
all°
the children°
of
Yiŝrä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל.° |

But all the congregation bade stone them with stones. And the glory of Yahweh appeared in the tabernacle of the congregation before all the children of Yisrael. |

14:11 ¶
And

מֹשֶׁה,°
How long°°
will this°
people°
provoke°°
me? and how long°°
will it be ere°
they believe°°
me, for all°
the signs°
which°
I have shewed°°
among°
them? |

14:11 ¶
And Yahweh said unto Mosheh, How long will this people provoke me? and how long will it be ere they believe me, for all the signs which I have shewed among them? |
|
14:12
I will smite°°
them with the pestilence,°
and disinherit°°
them, and will make°°
of thee a greater°
nation°
and mightier°
than°
they. |

in thy might°

And Mosheh said unto Yahweh, Then the Mitzrim shall hear [it], (for thou broughtest up this people in thy might from among them;) |

And they will tell°°
[it] to°
the inhabitants°°
of this°
land:°
[for] they have heard°°
that°
thou°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
[art] among°
this°
people,°
that°
thou°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
art seen°°
face°
to face,°
and [that] thy cloud°
standeth°°
over°
them, and [that] thou°
goest°°
before°
them, by day time°
in a pillar°
of a cloud,°
and in a pillar°
of fire°
by night.° |

And they will tell [it] to the inhabitants of this land: [for] they have heard that thou Yahweh [art] among this people, that thou Yahweh art seen face to face, and [that] thy cloud standeth over them, and [that] thou goest before them, by day time in a pillar of a cloud, and in a pillar of fire by night. |
|
14:15 ¶
Now [if] thou shalt kill°°
[all]°
this°
people°
as one°
man,°
then the nations°
which°
have heard°°°
the fame°
of thee will speak,°°
saying,°° |

Now [if] thou shalt kill [all] this people as one man, then the nations which have heard the fame of thee will speak, saying, |

Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
was not°
able°°
to bring°°°
this°
people°
into°
the land°
which°
he sware°°
unto them, therefore he hath slain°°
them in the wilderness.° |

Because Yahweh was not able to bring this people into the land which he sware unto them, therefore he hath slain them in the wilderness. |
|
14:17
And now,°
I beseech thee,°
let the power°
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
be great,°°
according°
as°
thou hast spoken,°°
saying,°° |

And now, I beseech thee, let the power of Yahweh be great, according as thou hast spoken, saying, |

Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
[is] longsuffering,°°
and of great°
mercy,°
forgiving°°
iniquity°
and transgression,°
and by no means°°
clearing°°°
[the guilty], visiting°°
the iniquity°
of the fathers°
upon°
the children°
unto°
the third°
and fourth°
[generation]. |

Yahweh [is] longsuffering, and of great mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression, and by no means clearing [the guilty], visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth [generation]. |

Pardon,°°
I beseech thee,°
the iniquity°
of this°
people°
according unto the greatness°
of thy mercy,°
and as°
thou hast forgiven°°
this°
people,°
from
Mixrayim
מִצרַיִם°°
even until°
now.° |

Pardon, I beseech thee, the iniquity of this people according unto the greatness of thy mercy, and as thou hast forgiven this people, from Mitzrayim even until now. |

I have pardoned°°
according to thy word:° |

And Yahweh said, I have pardoned according to thy word: |

the earth°
shall be filled°°
with the glory°

Yähwè
יָהוֶה.° |

But [as] truly [as] I live, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of Yahweh. |
|

Because°

those men°°
which have seen°°°
my glory,°
and my miracles,°
which°
I did°°
in
Mixrayim
מִצרַיִם°
and in the wilderness,°
and have tempted°°°
me now these°
ten°
times,°
and have not°
hearkened°°
to my voice;° |

Because all those men which have seen my glory, and my miracles, which I did in Mitzrayim and in the wilderness, and have tempted me now these ten times, and have not hearkened to my voice; |

Surely°
they shall not°

the land°
which°
I sware°°
unto their fathers,°

shall any°
of them that provoked°°
me see°°

you into the wilderness°

(Now the Amaleqim and the Kenaanim dwelt in the valley.) To morrow turn you, and get you into the wilderness by the way of the Suf sea. |

And Yahweh spake unto Mosheh and unto Aharon, saying, |

[shall I bear with] this°
evil°
congregation,°
which°
murmur°°
against°
me? I have heard°°°
the murmurings°
of the children°
of
Yiŝrä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל,°
which°
they°
murmur°°
against°
me. |

How long [shall I bear with] this evil congregation, which murmur against me? I have heard the murmurings of the children of Yisrael, which they murmur against me. |

unto°
them, [As truly as]°

live,°

יָהוֶה,°

ye have spoken°°
in mine ears,°
so°
will I do°°
to you: |

shall fall°°

wilderness;°

that were numbered°°
of you, according to your whole°
number,°
from twenty°
years°
old°°
and upward,°
which°
have murmured°°
against°
me, |

Doubtless ye shall not come into the land, [concerning] which I sware to make you dwell therein, save Kalev the son of Yefunneh, and Yehoshua the son of Nun. |

and they shall know°°°
the land°
which°
ye have despised.°° |

the congregation°
to murmur°°°°
against°
him, by bringing up°°
a slander°
upon°
the land,° |

And the men, which Mosheh sent to search the land, who returned, and made all the congregation to murmur against him, by bringing up a slander upon the land, |

Even those°

that did bring up°°
the evil°
report°
upon the land,°
died°°
by the plague°
before°

sayings°
unto°

the children°

and the people°
mourned°°
greatly.° |

And Mosheh told these sayings unto all the children of Yisrael: and the people mourned greatly. |

14:40 ¶
And they rose up early°°
in the morning,°
and gat them up°°
into°
the top°
of the mountain,°
saying,°°
Lo,°
we [be here], and will go up°°
unto°
the place°
which°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
hath promised:°°
for°
we have sinned.°° |

And they rose up early in the morning, and gat them up into the top of the mountain, saying, Lo, we [be here], and will go up unto the place which Yahweh hath promised: for we have sinned. |

Wherefore°

transgress°°°
the commandment°

Yähwè
יָהוֶה?°
but it°
shall not°
prosper.°° |

And Mosheh said, Wherefore now do ye transgress the commandment of Yahweh? but it shall not prosper. |

Go not up,°°°

Yähwè
יָהוֶה°

among°
you; that ye be not°
smitten°°
before°
your enemies.°° |

the camp.° |

hill,°
and smote°°
them, and discomfited°°
them, [even] unto°

Then the Amaleqim came down, and the Kenaanim which dwelt in that hill, and smote them, and discomfited them, [even] unto Chormah. |
