 43:1 ¶ But now thus saith Jehovah that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel: Fear not, for I have redeemed thee; I have called thee by thy name, thou art mine.

 43:1 ¶ But nowº thusº saithºº the LORDº that createdºº thee, O Jacob,º and he that formedºº thee, O Israel,º Fearºº not:º forº I have redeemedºº thee, I have calledºº [thee] by thy name;º thouº [art] mine.

 43:2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned, neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

 43:2 Whenº thou passest throughºº the waters,º Iº [will be] withº thee; and through the rivers,º they shall notº overflowºº thee: whenº thou walkestººº throughº the fire,º thou shalt notº be burned;ºº neitherº shall the flameº kindleºº upon thee.

 43:3 For I am Jehovah thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour; I have given Egypt as thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba in thy stead.

 43:3 Forº Iº [am] the LORDº thy God,º the Holy Oneº of Israel,º thy Saviour:ºº I gaveºº Egyptº [for] thy ransom,º Ethiopiaº and Sebaº forº thee.

 43:4 Since thou hast been precious in my sight, [and] honorable, and I have loved thee; therefore will I give men in thy stead, and peoples instead of thy life.

 43:4 Sinceºº thou wast preciousºº in my sight,º thou hast been honourable,ºº and Iº have lovedºº thee: therefore will I giveºº menº forº thee, and peopleº forº thy life.º

 43:5 Fear not; for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west;

 43:5 Fearºº not:º forº Iº [am] withº thee: I will bringºº thy seedº from the east,ºº and gatherºº thee from the west;ºº

 43:6 I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back; bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the end of the earth;

 43:6 I will sayºº to the north,º Give up;ºº and to the south,º Keep not back:ººº bringºº my sonsº from far,ºº and my daughtersº from the endsºº of the earth;º

 43:7 every one that is called by my name, and whom I have created for my glory, whom I have formed, yea, whom I have made.

 43:7 [Even] every oneº that is calledºº by my name:º for I have createdºº him for my glory,º I have formedºº him; yea,º I have madeºº him.

 43:8 ¶ Bring forth the blind people that have eyes, and the deaf that have ears.

 43:8 ¶ Bring forthºº the blindº peopleº that haveº eyes,º and the deafº that have ears.º

 43:9 Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the peoples be assembled: who among them can declare this, and show us former things? let them bring their witnesses, that they may be justified; or let them hear, and say, It is truth.

 43:9 Let allº the nationsº be gatheredºº together,º and let the peopleº be assembled:ºº whoº among them can declareºº this,º and shewºº us former things?º let them bring forthºº their witnesses,º that they may be justified:ºº or let them hear,ºº and say,ºº [It is] truth.º

 43:10 Ye are my witnesses, saith Jehovah, and my servant whom I have chosen; that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.

 43:10 Yeº [are] my witnesses,º saithºº the LORD,º and my servantº whomº I have chosen:ºº thatº ye may knowºº and believeºº me, and understandºº thatº Iº [am] he:º beforeº me there was noº Godº formed,ºº neitherº shall there beº afterº me.

 43:11 I, even I, am Jehovah; and besides me there is no saviour.

 43:11 I,º [even] I,º [am] the LORD;º and besideºº me [there is] noº saviour.ºº

 43:12 I have declared, and I have saved, and I have showed; and there was no strange [god] among you: therefore ye are my witnesses, saith Jehovah, and I am God.

 43:12 Iº have declared,ºº and have saved,ºº and I have shewed,ºº when [there was] noº strangeºº [god] among you: therefore yeº [are] my witnesses,º saithºº the LORD,º that Iº [am] God.º

 43:13 Yea, since the day was I am he; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand: I will work, and who can hinder it?

 43:13 Yea,º before the dayºº [was] Iº [am] he;º and [there is] noneº that can deliverºº out of my hand:ºº I will work,ºº and whoº shall letºº it?

 43:14 ¶ Thus saith Jehovah, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: For your sake I have sent to Babylon, and I will bring down all of them as fugitives, even the Chaldeans, in the ships of their rejoicing.

 43:14 ¶ Thusº saithºº the LORD,º your redeemer,ºº the Holy Oneº of Israel;º For your sakeº I have sentºº to Babylon,º and have brought downºº allº their nobles,º and the Chaldeans,º whose cryº [is] in the ships.º

 43:15 I am Jehovah, your Holy One, the Creator of Israel, your King.

 43:15 Iº [am] the LORD,º your Holy One,º the creatorºº of Israel,º your King.º

 43:16 Thus saith Jehovah, who maketh a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters;

 43:16 Thusº saithºº the LORD,º which makethºº a wayº in the sea,º and a pathº in the mightyº waters;º

 43:17 who bringeth forth the chariot and horse, the army and the mighty man (they lie down together, they shall not rise; they are extinct, they are quenched as a wick):

 43:17 Which bringeth forthºº the chariotº and horse,º the armyº and the power;º they shall lie downºº together,º they shall notº rise:ºº they are extinct,ºº they are quenchedºº as tow.º

 43:18 ¶ Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.

 43:18 ¶ Rememberºº ye notº the former things,º neitherº considerºº the things of old.º

 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now shall it spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

 43:19 Behold,º I will doºº a new thing;º nowº it shall spring forth;ºº shall ye notº knowºº it? I will evenº makeºº a wayº in the wilderness,º [and] riversº in the desert.º

 43:20 The beasts of the field shall honor me, the jackals and the ostriches; because I give waters in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my chosen,

 43:20 The beastº of the fieldº shall honourºº me, the dragonsºº and the owls:ºº becauseº I giveºº watersº in the wilderness,º [and] riversº in the desert,º to give drinkºº to my people,º my chosen.º

 43:21 the people which I formed for myself, that they might set forth my praise.

 43:21 Thisº peopleº have I formedºº for myself; they shall shew forthºº my praise.º

 43:22 ¶ Yet thou hast not called upon me, O Jacob; but thou hast been weary of me, O Israel.

 43:22 ¶ But thou hast notº calledºº uponº me, O Jacob;º butº thou hast been wearyºº of me, O Israel.º

 43:23 Thou hast not brought me of thy sheep for burnt-offerings; neither hast thou honored me with thy sacrifices. I have not burdened thee with offerings, nor wearied thee with frankincense.

 43:23 Thou hast notº broughtºº me the small cattleº of thy burnt offerings;º neitherº hast thou honouredºº me with thy sacrifices.º I have notº caused thee to serveºº with an offering,º norº weariedºº thee with incense.º

 43:24 Thou hast bought me no sweet cane with money, neither hast thou filled me with the fat of thy sacrifices; but thou hast burdened me with thy sins, thou hast wearied me with thine iniquities.

 43:24 Thou hast boughtºº me noº sweet caneº with money,º neitherº hast thou filledºº me with the fatº of thy sacrifices:º butº thou hast made me to serveºº with thy sins,º thou hast weariedºº me with thine iniquities.º

 43:25 I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake; and I will not remember thy sins.

 43:25 I,º [even] I,º [am] heº that blotteth outºº thy transgressionsº for mine own sake,º and will notº rememberºº thy sins.º

 43:26 Put me in remembrance; let us plead together: set thou forth [thy cause], that thou mayest be justified.

 43:26 Put me in remembrance:ºº let us pleadºº together:º declareºº thou,º thatº thou mayest be justified.ºº

 43:27 Thy first father sinned, and thy teachers have transgressed against me.

 43:27 Thy firstº fatherº hath sinned,ºº and thy teachersºº have transgressedºº against me.

 43:28 Therefore I will profane the princes of the sanctuary; and I will make Jacob a curse, and Israel a reviling.

 43:28 Therefore I have profanedºº the princesº of the sanctuary,º and have givenºº Jacobº to the curse,º and Israelº to reproaches.º
