Deuteronomy 33

1 The majesty of God. 6 The blessings of the twelve tribes. 26 The excellency of Israel.

 33:1 Now this 2088 is the blessing 1293 with which 834 Moses 4872 the man 376 of God 430 blessed 1288 the sons 1121 of Israel 3478 before 6440 his death 4194.

 33:2 He said 559, “The LORD 3068 came 935 from Sinai 5514, And dawned 2224 on them from Seir 8165; He shone 3313 forth 3313 from Mount 2022 Paran 6290, And He came 857 from the midst of ten 7233 thousand 7233 holy 6944 ones 6944; At His right 3225 hand 3225 there was flashing 799 lightning 799 for them.

 33:3 “Indeed 637, He loves 2245 the people 5971a; All 3605 Your holy 6918 ones 6918 are in Your hand 3027, And they followed 8497 in Your steps 7272; [Everyone] receives 5375 of Your words 1703.

 33:4 “Moses 4872 charged 6680 us with a law 8451, A possession 4181 for the assembly 6952 of Jacob 3290.

 33:5 “And He was king 4428 in Jeshurun 3484, When the heads 7218 of the people 5971a were gathered 622, The tribes 7626 of Israel 3478 together 3162.

 33:6 ¶ “May Reuben 7205 live 2421a and not die 4191, Nor 408 his men 4962 be few 4557.”

 33:7 ¶ And this 2088 regarding Judah 3063; so he said 559, “Hear 8085, O LORD 3068, the voice 6963 of Judah 3063, And bring 935 him to his people 5971a. With his hands 3027 he contended 7378 for them, And may You be a help 5828 against 4480 his adversaries 6862c.”

 33:8 ¶ Of Levi 3878 he said 559, “[Let] Your Thummim 8550 and Your Urim 224 [belong] to Your godly 2623 man 376, Whom 834 You proved 5254 at Massah 4532, With whom You contended 7378 at the waters 4325 of Meribah 4809;

 33:9 Who said 559 of his father 1 and his mother 517, ‘I did not consider 7200 them’; And he did not acknowledge 5234 his brothers 251, Nor 3808 did he regard 3045 his own sons 1121, For they observed 8104 Your word 565a, And kept 5341 Your covenant 1285.

 33:10 “They shall teach 3384 Your ordinances 4941 to Jacob 3290, And Your law 8451 to Israel 3478. They shall put 7760 incense 6988 before 639 You, And whole 3632 burnt 3632 offerings 3632 on Your altar 4196.

 33:11 “O LORD 3068, bless 1288 his substance 2428, And accept 7521 the work 6467 of his hands 3027; Shatter 4272 the loins 4975 of those who rise 6965 up against him, And those who hate 8130 him, so 4480 that they will not rise 6965 [again].”

 33:12 ¶ Of Benjamin 1144 he said 559, “May the beloved 3039 of the LORD 3068 dwell 7931 in security 983 by Him, Who shields 2653 him all 3605 the day 3117, And he dwells 7931 between 996 His shoulders 3802.”

 33:13 ¶ Of Joseph 3130 he said 559, “Blessed 1288 of the LORD 3068 [be] his land 776, With the choice 4022 things 4022 of heaven 8064, with the dew 2919, And from the deep 8415 lying 7257 beneath 8478,

 33:14 And with the choice 4022 yield 8393 of the sun 8121, And with the choice 4022 produce 1645 of the months 3391.

 33:15 “And with the best 7218 things 7218 of the ancient 6924a mountains 2022, And with the choice 4022 things 4022 of the everlasting 5769 hills 1389,

 33:16 And with the choice 4022 things 4022 of the earth 776 and its fullness 4393, And the favor 7522 of Him who dwelt 7931 in the bush 5572. Let it come 935 to the head 7218 of Joseph 3130, And to the crown 6936 of the head 6936 of the one 5139 distinguished 5139 among his brothers 251.

 33:17 “As the firstborn 1060 of his ox 7794, majesty 1926 is his, And his horns 7161 are the horns 7161 of the wild 7214 ox 7214; With them he will push 5055 the peoples 5971a, All 3164a at once 3164a, [to] the ends 657 of the earth 776. And those 1992a are the ten 7233 thousands 7233 of Ephraim 669, And those 1992a are the thousands 505 of Manasseh 4519.”

 33:18 ¶ Of Zebulun 2074 he said 559, “Rejoice 8055, Zebulun 2074, in your going 3318 forth 3318, And, Issachar 3485, in your tents 168.

 33:19 “They will call 7121 peoples 5971a [to] the mountain 2022; There 8033 they will offer 2076 righteous 6664 sacrifices 2077; For they will draw 3243 out the abundance 8228 of the seas 3220, And the hidden 2934 treasures 5603 of the sand 2344.”

 33:20 ¶ Of Gad 1410 he said 559, “Blessed 1288 is the one who enlarges 7337 Gad 1410; He lies 7931 down 7931 as a lion 3833b, And tears 2963 the arm 2220, also 637 the crown 6936 of the head 6936.

 33:21 “Then he provided 7200 the first 7225 [part] for himself, For there 8033 the ruler’s 2710 portion 2513a was reserved 5603; And he came 857 [with] the leaders 7218 of the people 5971a; He executed 6213a the justice 6666 of the LORD 3068, And His ordinances 4941 with Israel 3478.”

 33:22 ¶ Of Dan 1835 he said 559, “Dan 1835 is a lion’s 743b whelp 1482, That leaps 2187 forth from Bashan 1316.”

 33:23 ¶ Of Naphtali 5321 he said 559, “O Naphtali 5321, satisfied 7649 with favor 7522, And full 4392 of the blessing 1293 of the LORD 3068, Take 3423 possession 3423 of the sea 3220 and the south 1864.”

 33:24 ¶ Of Asher 836 he said 559, “More 4480 blessed 1288 than 4480 sons 1121 is Asher 836; May he be favored 7521 by his brothers 251, And may he dip 2881 his foot 7272 in oil 8081.

 33:25 “Your locks 4515 will be iron 1270 and bronze 5178, And according to your days 3117, so will your leisurely 1679 walk 1679 be.

 33:26 ¶ “There 369 is none 369 like the God 410 of Jeshurun 3484, Who rides 7392 the heavens 8064 to your help 5828, And through the skies 7834 in His majesty 1346.

 33:27 “The eternal 6924a God 430 is a dwelling 4585 place 4585, And underneath 8478 are the everlasting 5769 arms 2220; And He drove 1644 out the enemy 340 from before 4480 6440 you, And said 559, ‘Destroy 8045!’

 33:28 “So Israel 3478 dwells 7931 in security 983, The fountain 5871a of Jacob 3290 secluded 910, In a land 776 of grain 1715 and new 8492 wine 8492; His heavens 8064 also 637 drop 6201 down 6201 dew 2919.

 33:29 “Blessed 835 are you, O Israel 3478; Who 4310 is like 3644 you, a people 5971a saved 3467 by the LORD 3068, Who is the shield 4043 of your help 5828 And the sword 2719 of your majesty 1346! So your enemies 340 will cringe 3584 before you, And you will tread 1869 upon their high 1116 places 1116.”
