in the morning;°

Šiţţîm
שִׁטִּים,°°
and came°°
to°
Yardën
יַרדֵּן,°
he°
and all°
the children°
of
Yiŝrä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל,°
and lodged°°
there°
before°
they passed over.°° |

3:1 ¶
And Yehoshua rose early in the morning; and they removed from Shittim, and came to Yarden, he and all the children of Yisrael, and lodged there before they passed over. |

And it came to pass°
after°°
three°
days,°
that the officers°°
went°°
through°
the host;° |

And it came to pass after three days, that the officers went through the host; |

And they commanded°°°
the people,°
saying,°°
When ye see°°°
the ark°
of the covenant°
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
your
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים,°
and the priests°
the
Læwiyyim
לְוִיִּם°
bearing°°
it, then ye°
shall remove°°
from your place,°°
and go°°
after°
it. |

And they commanded the people, saying, When ye see the ark of the covenant of Yahweh your Elohim, and the priests the Lewiyyim bearing it, then ye shall remove from your place, and go after it. |

Yet°
there shall be°
a space°
between°
you and it, about two thousand°
cubits°
by measure:°
come not near°°°
unto°
it, that°°
ye may know°°°
the way°
by which°
ye must go:°°°
for°
ye have not°
passed°°
[this] way°
heretofore.°°° |

Yet there shall be a space between you and it, about two thousand cubits by measure: come not near unto it, that ye may know the way by which ye must go: for ye have not passed [this] way heretofore. |

And
Yæhôšuå`
יְהוֹשֻׁעַ°
said°°
unto°
the people,°
Sanctify°°
yourselves:°
for°
to morrow°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
will do°°
wonders°°
among°
you. |

And Yehoshua said unto the people, Sanctify yourselves: for to morrow Yahweh will do wonders among you. |

And

יְהוֹשֻׁעַ°
spake°°
unto°
the priests,°
saying,°°
Take up°°°
the ark°
of the covenant,°
and pass over°°
before°
the people.°
And they took up°°°
the ark°
of the covenant,°
and went°°°
before°
the people.° |

And Yehoshua spake unto the priests, saying, Take up the ark of the covenant, and pass over before the people. And they took up the ark of the covenant, and went before the people. |

to magnify°°
thee in the sight°

Yiŝrä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל,°

they may know°°

I was°
with°
Möšè
מֹשֶׁה,°
[so] I will be°
with°
thee. |

3:7 ¶
And Yahweh said unto Yehoshua, This day will I begin to magnify thee in the sight of all Yisrael, that they may know that, as I was with Mosheh, [so] I will be with thee. |

And thou°
shalt command°°°
the priests°
that bear°°
the ark°
of the covenant,°
saying,°°
When ye are come°°
to°
the brink°
of the water°
of
Yardën
יַרדֵּן,°
ye shall stand still°°
in
Yardën
יַרדֵּן.° |

3:8
And thou shalt command the priests that bear the ark of the covenant, saying, When ye are come to the brink of the water of Yarden, ye shall stand still in Yarden. |
|
3:9 ¶
And

the children°

Yiŝrä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל,°
Come°
hither,°°°
and hear°°°
the words°
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
your
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים.° |

And Yehoshua said unto the children of Yisrael, Come hither, and hear the words of Yahweh your Elohim. |

And
Yæhôšuå`
יְהוֹשֻׁעַ°
said,°°
Hereby°
ye shall know°°
that°
the living°
´Ël
אֵל°
[is] among°
you, and [that] he will without fail°°
drive out°°
from before°°
you°
the
Cæna`ánîm
כְּנַעֲנִים,°
and the
Çittîm
חִתִּים,°
and the
Çiwwîm
חִוִּים,°
and the
Pærizzîm
פְּרִזִּים,°
and the
Girgäšîm
גִּרגָּשִׁים,°
and the
´Émörîm
אֱמֹרִים,°
and the
Yævûsîm
יְבוּסִים.° |

3:10
And Yehoshua said, Hereby ye shall know that the living El [is] among you, and [that] he will without fail drive out from before you the Kenaanim, and the Chittim, and the Chiwwim, and the Perizzim, and the Girgashim, and the Emorim, and the Yevusim. |

3:11
Behold,°
the ark°
of the covenant°
of
´Áđôn
אֲדוֹן°
of all°
the earth°
passeth over°°
before°
you into
Yardën
יַרדֵּן.° |
|
3:11
Behold, the ark of the covenant of Adon of all the earth passeth over before you into Yarden. |
|
3:12
Now°
therefore take°°
you twelve°°
men°
out of the tribes°°
of
Yiŝrä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל,°
out of every°
tribe°
a man.°°° |

Now therefore take you twelve men out of the tribes of Yisrael, out of every tribe a man. |

3:13
And it shall come to pass,°
as soon as the soles°
of the feet°
of the priests°
that bear°°
the ark°
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה,°
´Áđôn
אֲדוֹן°
of all°
the earth,°
shall rest°°
in the waters°
of
Yardën
יַרדֵּן,°
[that] the waters°
of
Yardën
יַרדֵּן°
shall be cut off°°
[from] the waters°
that come down°°
from above;°°
and they shall stand°°
upon an°
heap.° |

3:13
And it shall come to pass, as soon as the soles of the feet of the priests that bear the ark of Yahweh, Adon of all the earth, shall rest in the waters of Yarden, [that] the waters of Yarden shall be cut off [from] the waters that come down from above; and they shall stand upon an heap. |

3:14 ¶
And it came to pass,°
when the people°
removed°°
from their tents,°°
to pass over°°°
Yardën
יַרדֵּן,°
and the priests°
bearing°°
the ark°
of the covenant°
before°
the people;° |

And it came to pass, when the people removed from their tents, to pass over Yarden, and the priests bearing the ark of the covenant before the people; |

3:15
And as they that bare°°
the ark°
were come°°
unto°
Yardën
יַרדֵּן,°
and the feet°
of the priests°
that bare°°
the ark°
were dipped°°
in the brim°
of the water,°
(for
Yardën
יַרדֵּן°
overfloweth°°°
all°
his banks°
all°
the time°
of harvest,)° |

And as they that bare the ark were come unto Yarden, and the feet of the priests that bare the ark were dipped in the brim of the water, (for Yarden overfloweth all his banks all the time of harvest,) |

3:16
That the waters°
which came down°°
from above°°
stood°°
[and] rose up°°
upon an°
heap°
very°
far°°
from the city°
´Äđäm
אָדָם,°°
that°
[is] beside°°
Xärŧän
צָרתָן:°
and those that came down°°
toward°
the sea°
of the plain,°
[even] the salt°
sea,°
failed,°°
[and] were cut off:°°
and the people°
passed over°°
right against°
Yærîçô
יְרִיחוֹ.° |

That the waters which came down from above stood [and] rose up upon an heap very far from the city Adam, that [is] beside Tzarthan: and those that came down toward the sea of the plain, [even] the salt sea, failed, [and] were cut off: and the people passed over right against Yericho. |

3:17
And the priests°
that bare°°
the ark°
of the covenant°
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
stood°°
firm°°
on dry ground°
in the midst°
of
Yardën
יַרדֵּן,°
and all°
the
Yiŝræ´ëlîm
יִשׂרְאֵלִים°
passed over°°
on dry ground,°
until°°
all°
the people°
were passed°°
clean°°
over°°°
Yardën
יַרדֵּן.° |

3:17
And the priests that bare the ark of the covenant of Yahweh stood firm on dry ground in the midst of Yarden, and all the Yisreelim passed over on dry ground, until all the people were passed clean over Yarden. |
