[are the countries] which°

יִשׂרָאֵל°
inherited°°
in the land°
of
Cænä`an
כְּנָעַן,°
which°
´El`äzär
אֶלעָזָר°
the priest,°
and
Yæhôšuå`
יְהוֹשֻׁעַ°
the son°
of
Nûn
נוּן,°
and the heads°
of the fathers°
of the tribes°
of the children°
of
Yiŝrä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל,°
distributed for inheritance°°
to them. |

14:1 ¶
And these [are the countries] which the children of Yisrael inherited in the land of Kenaan, which Elazar the priest, and Yehoshua the son of Nun, and the heads of the fathers of the tribes of the children of Yisrael, distributed for inheritance to them. |

[was] their inheritance,°
as°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
commanded°°
by the hand°
of
Möšè
מֹשֶׁה,°
for the nine°
tribes,°
and [for] the half°
tribe.° |

By lot [was] their inheritance, as Yahweh commanded by the hand of Mosheh, for the nine tribes, and [for] the half tribe. |

Möšè
מֹשֶׁה°
had given°°
the inheritance°
of two°
tribes°
and an half°
tribe°
on the other side°°
Yardën
יַרדֵּן:°
but unto the
Læwiyyim
לְוִיִּם°
he gave°°
none°
inheritance°
among°
them. |

For Mosheh had given the inheritance of two tribes and an half tribe on the other side Yarden: but unto the Lewiyyim he gave none inheritance among them. |

the children°
of
Yôsëf
יוֹסֵף°
were°
two°
tribes,°
Mænaššè
מְנַשֶּׁה°
and
´Efrayim
אֶפרַיִם:°
therefore they gave°°
no°
part°
unto the
Læwiyyim
לְוִיִּם°
in the land,°
save°°
cities°
to dwell°°
[in], with their suburbs°
for their cattle°
and for their substance.° |

For the children of Yosef were two tribes, Menashsheh and Efrayim: therefore they gave no part unto the Lewiyyim in the land, save cities to dwell [in], with their suburbs for their cattle and for their substance. |

unto°
him, Thou°
knowest°°°
the thing°
that°

יָהוֶה°
said°°
unto°

the man°
of
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים°
concerning°°
me°
and thee°

קָדֵשׁ־בַּרנֵעַ.° |

14:6 ¶
Then the children of Yehudah came unto Yehoshua in Gilgal: and Kalev the son of Yefunneh the Qenizzi said unto him, Thou knowest the thing that Yahweh said unto Mosheh the man of Elohim concerning me and thee in Qadesh-Barnea. |

Forty years old [was] I when Mosheh the servant of Yahweh sent me from Qadesh-Barnea to espy out the land; and I brought him word again as [it was] in mine heart. |

Nevertheless my brethren°
that°
went up°°
with°
me made°
the heart°
of the people°
melt:°°
but I°
wholly°°
followed°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
my
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים.° |

14:8
Nevertheless my brethren that went up with me made the heart of the people melt: but I wholly followed Yahweh my Elohim. |

And

sware°°
on that°
day,°
saying,°°
Surely°°
the land°
whereon°
thy feet°
have trodden°°
shall be°
thine inheritance,°
and thy children's°
for°
ever,°°
because°
thou hast wholly°°
followed°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
my
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים.° |

And Mosheh sware on that day, saying, Surely the land whereon thy feet have trodden shall be thine inheritance, and thy children's for ever, because thou hast wholly followed Yahweh my Elohim. |

14:10
And now,°
behold,°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
hath kept me alive,°°°
as°
he said,°°
these°
forty°
and five°
years,°
even since°°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
spake°°°
this°
word°
unto°
Möšè
מֹשֶׁה,°
while°
[the children of]
Yiŝrä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל°
wandered°°
in the wilderness:°
and now,°
lo,°
I°
[am] this day°
fourscore°
and five°
years°
old.° |

And now, behold, Yahweh hath kept me alive, as he said, these forty and five years, even since Yahweh spake this word unto Mosheh, while [the children of] Yisrael wandered in the wilderness: and now, lo, I [am] this day fourscore and five years old. |

I [am as] strong°
this day°
as°
[I was] in the day°
that

me: as my strength°
[was] then,°
even so [is] my strength°

for war,°
both to go out,°°

heardest°°
in that°

[were] great°
[and] fenced:°°

so be°

יָהוֶה°
[will be] with°
me, then I shall be able to drive them out,°°
as°

Now therefore give me this mountain, whereof Yahweh spake in that day; for thou heardest in that day how the Anaqim [were] there, and [that] the cities [were] great [and] fenced: if so be Yahweh [will be] with me, then I shall be able to drive them out, as Yahweh said. |

Chevron therefore became the inheritance of Kalev the son of Yefunneh the Qenizzi unto this day, because that he wholly followed Yahweh Elohim of Yisrael. |

And the name°

before°
[was]
Kiryaŧ ´Arba`
קִריַת־אַרבַּע;°
[which
´Arba`
אַרבַּע was] a great°
man°
among the
`Ánäkîm
עֲנָקִים.°
And the land°
had rest°°
from war.°° |

And the name of Chevron before [was] Qiryath-Arba; [which Arba was] a great man among the Anaqim. And the land had rest from war. |
