Then Yehoshua called the Reuvenim, and the Gadim, and the half tribe of Menashsheh, |

them, Ye°
have kept°°°
all°
that°
Möšè
מֹשֶׁה°
the servant°
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
commanded°°
you, and have obeyed°°
my voice°
in all°
that°
I commanded°°
you: |

And said unto them, Ye have kept all that Mosheh the servant of Yahweh commanded you, and have obeyed my voice in all that I commanded you: |
|
22:3
Ye have not°
left°°°
your brethren°
these°
many°
days°
unto°
this°
day,°
but have kept°°°
the charge°
of the commandment°
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
your
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים.° |

22:3
Ye have not left your brethren these many days unto this day, but have kept the charge of the commandment of Yahweh your Elohim. |
|
22:4
And now°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
your
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים°
hath given rest°°
unto your brethren,°
as°
he promised°°
them: therefore now°
return°°
ye, and get°°°
you unto your tents,°
[and] unto°
the land°
of your possession,°

you on the other side°

And now Yahweh your Elohim hath given rest unto your brethren, as he promised them: therefore now return ye, and get you unto your tents, [and] unto the land of your possession, which Mosheh the servant of Yahweh gave you on the other side Yarden. |

take diligent°

to do°°°
the commandment°
and the law,°
which°

the servant°

Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
charged°°
you, to love°°°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
your
´Élöhîm

in all°
his ways,°

his commandments,°
and to cleave°°
unto him, and to serve°°
him with all°
your heart°
and with all°
your soul.° |

But take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law, which Mosheh the servant of Yahweh charged you, to love Yahweh your Elohim, and to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and to cleave unto him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul. |

Now to the [one] half°
of the tribe°

מֹשֶׁה°

[possession] in
Bäšän
בָּשָׁן:°
but unto the [other] half°
thereof gave°°
Yæhôšuå`
יְהוֹשֻׁעַ°
among°
their brethren°
on this side°
Yardën
יַרדֵּן°
westward.°
And when°
Yæhôšuå`
יְהוֹשֻׁעַ°
sent them away°°
also°
unto°
their tents,°
then he blessed°°
them, |

22:7 ¶
Now to the [one] half of the tribe of Menashsheh Mosheh had given [possession] in Bashan: but unto the [other] half thereof gave Yehoshua among their brethren on this side Yarden westward. And when Yehoshua sent them away also unto their tents, then he blessed them, |
|
22:8
And he spake°°
unto°
them, saying,°°
Return°°
with much°
riches°
unto°
your tents,°
and with very°
much°
cattle,°
with silver,°
and with gold,°
and with brass,°
and with iron,°
and with very°
much°°
raiment:°
divide°°
the spoil°
of your enemies°°
with°
your brethren.° |

And he spake unto them, saying, Return with much riches unto your tents, and with very much cattle, with silver, and with gold, and with brass, and with iron, and with very much raiment: divide the spoil of your enemies with your brethren. |

22:9 ¶
And the children°

and the children°

returned,°°
and departed°°°
from°°
the children°
of
Yiŝrä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל°
out of
Šîlò
שִׁילֹה,°°
which°
[is] in the land°
of
Cænä`an
כְּנָעַן,°
to go°°°
unto°
the country°
of
Gil`äđ
גִּלעָד,°
to°
the land°
of their possession,°
whereof°
they were possessed,°°
according°
to the word°
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
by the hand°
of
Möšè
מֹשֶׁה.° |

22:9 ¶
And the children of Reuven and the children of Gad and the half tribe of Menashsheh returned, and departed from the children of Yisrael out of Shiloh, which [is] in the land of Kenaan, to go unto the country of Gilad, to the land of their possession, whereof they were possessed, according to the word of Yahweh by the hand of Mosheh. |

And when they came°°

[are] in the land°

כְּנָעַן,°
the children°
of
Ræ´ûvën
רְאוּבֵן°
and the children°

מְנַשֶּׁה°
built°°
there°
an altar°
by°
Yardën
יַרדֵּן,°
a great°
altar°
to see°
to.° |

22:10 ¶
And when they came unto the borders of Yarden, that [are] in the land of Kenaan, the children of Reuven and the children of Gad and the half tribe of Menashsheh built there an altar by Yarden, a great altar to see to. |
|
22:11 ¶
And the children°
of
Yiŝrä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל°
heard°°
say,°°
Behold,°
the children°
of
Ræ´ûvën
רְאוּבֵן°
and the children°
of
Gäđ
גָּד°
and the half°
tribe°
of
Mænaššè
מְנַשֶּׁה°
have built°°°
an altar°
over against°°
the land°
of
Cænä`an
כְּנָעַן,°
in°
the borders°
of
Yardën
יַרדֵּן,°
at°
the passage°°
of the children°
of
Yiŝrä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל.° |

22:11 ¶
And the children of Yisrael heard say, Behold, the children of Reuven and the children of Gad and the half tribe of Menashsheh have built an altar over against the land of Kenaan, in the borders of Yarden, at the passage of the children of Yisrael. |
|
22:12
And when the children°
of
Yiŝrä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל°
heard°°
[of it], the whole°
congregation°
of the children°
of
Yiŝrä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל°
gathered themselves together°°
at
Šîlò
שִׁילֹה,°
to go°
up°°
to war°
against°
them. |

And when the children of Yisrael heard [of it], the whole congregation of the children of Yisrael gathered themselves together at Shiloh, to go up to war against them. |
|

And the children°

יִשׂרָאֵל°
sent°°
unto°
the children°
of
Ræ´ûvën
רְאוּבֵן,°
and to°
the children°
of
Gäđ
גָּד,°
and to°
the half°
tribe°

into°
the land°
of
Gil`äđ
גִּלעָד,°°
Pînçäs
פִּינחָס°
the son°
of
´El`äzär
אֶלעָזָר°
the priest,° |

And the children of Yisrael sent unto the children of Reuven, and to the children of Gad, and to the half tribe of Menashsheh, into the land of Gilad, Pinchas the son of Elazar the priest, |

22:14
And with°
him ten°
princes,°
of each°
chief°°
house°
a prince°
throughout all°
the tribes°
of
Yiŝrä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל;°
and each one°
[was] an head°
of the house°
of their fathers°
among the thousands°
of
Yiŝrä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל.° |

And with him ten princes, of each chief house a prince throughout all the tribes of Yisrael; and each one [was] an head of the house of their fathers among the thousands of Yisrael. |
|
22:15 ¶
And they came°°
unto°
the children°
of
Ræ´ûvën
רְאוּבֵן,°
and to°
the children°
of
Gäđ
גָּד,°
and to°
the half°
tribe°
of
Mænaššè
מְנַשֶּׁה,°
unto°
the land°
of
Gil`äđ
גִּלעָד,°
and they spake°°
with°
them, saying,°° |

22:15 ¶
And they came unto the children of Reuven, and to the children of Gad, and to the half tribe of Menashsheh, unto the land of Gilad, and they spake with them, saying, |

Thus°
saith°°
the whole°
congregation°
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה,°
What°
trespass°
[is] this°
that°
ye have committed°°
against the
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים°
of
Yiŝrä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל,°
to turn away°°
this day°
from following°°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה,°
in that ye have builded°°
you an altar,°
that ye might rebel°°
this day°
against
Yähwè
יָהוֶה?° |

Thus saith the whole congregation of Yahweh, What trespass [is] this that ye have committed against the Elohim of Yisrael, to turn away this day from following Yahweh, in that ye have builded you an altar, that ye might rebel this day against Yahweh? |
|
22:17
[Is]°
the iniquity°
of
Pæ`ôr
פְּעוֹר°
too little°
for us, from°
which°
we are not°
cleansed°°
until°
this°
day,°
although there was°
a plague°
in the congregation°
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה,° |

22:17
[Is] the iniquity of Peor too little for us, from which we are not cleansed until this day, although there was a plague in the congregation of Yahweh, |
|
22:18
But that ye°
must turn away°°
this day°
from following°°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה?°
and it will be,°
[seeing] ye°
rebel°°
to day°
against
Yähwè
יָהוֶה,°
that to morrow°
he will be wroth°°
with°
the whole°
congregation°
of
Yiŝrä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל.° |

22:18
But that ye must turn away this day from following Yahweh? and it will be, [seeing] ye rebel to day against Yahweh, that to morrow he will be wroth with the whole congregation of Yisrael. |
|
22:19
Notwithstanding,°
if°
the land°
of your possession°
[be] unclean,°
[then] pass ye over°°
unto°
the land°
of the possession°
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה,°
wherein°
Yähwè's
יָהוֶה°
tabernacle°
dwelleth,°°°
and take possession°°
among°
us: but rebel°°
not°
against
Yähwè
יָהוֶה,°
nor°
rebel°°
against us, in building°°
you an altar°
beside°°
the altar°
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
our
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים.° |

22:19
Notwithstanding, if the land of your possession [be] unclean, [then] pass ye over unto the land of the possession of Yahweh, wherein Yahweh's tabernacle dwelleth, and take possession among us: but rebel not against Yahweh, nor rebel against us, in building you an altar beside the altar of Yahweh our Elohim. |

in the accursed thing,°
and wrath°

the congregation°

Did not Akhan the son of Zerach commit a trespass in the accursed thing, and wrath fell on all the congregation of Yisrael? and that man perished not alone in his iniquity. |

22:21 ¶
Then the children°

and the children°

גָּד°
and the half°
tribe°
of
Mænaššè
מְנַשֶּׁה°
answered,°°
and said°°
unto°
the heads°
of the thousands°
of
Yiŝrä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל,° |

22:21 ¶
Then the children of Reuven and the children of Gad and the half tribe of Menashsheh answered, and said unto the heads of the thousands of Yisrael, |

Yähwè
יָהוֶה°

אֱלֹהִים,°
he°
knoweth,°°

he°
shall know;°°
if°
[it be] in rebellion,°
or if°
in transgression°
against
Yähwè
יָהוֶה,°
(save°°
us not°
this°
day,)° |

Yahweh El of elohim, Yahweh El of elohim, he knoweth, and Yisrael he shall know; if [it be] in rebellion, or if in transgression against Yahweh, (save us not this day,) |

22:23
That we have built°°
us an altar°
to turn°°
from following°°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה,°
or if°
to offer°°
thereon°
burnt offering°
or meat offering,°
or if°
to offer°°
peace°
offerings°
thereon,°
let
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
himself°
require°°
[it]; |

22:23
That we have built us an altar to turn from following Yahweh, or if to offer thereon burnt offering or meat offering, or if to offer peace offerings thereon, let Yahweh himself require [it]; |
|
22:24
And if°
we have not°
[rather] done°°°
it°
for fear°°
of [this] thing,°°
saying,°°
In time to come°
your children°
might speak°°
unto our children,°
saying,°°
What°
have ye to do with
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים°
of
Yiŝrä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל?° |

22:24
And if we have not [rather] done it for fear of [this] thing, saying, In time to come your children might speak unto our children, saying, What have ye to do with Yahweh Elohim of Yisrael? |
|
22:25
For
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
hath made°°°
Yardën
יַרדֵּן°
a border°
between°
us and you, ye children°
of
Ræ´ûvën
רְאוּבֵן°
and children°
of
Gäđ
גָּד;°
ye have no°
part°
in
Yähwè
יָהוֶה:°
so shall your children°
make°°°
our children°
cease°°
from°
fearing°°°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה.° |

22:25
For Yahweh hath made Yarden a border between us and you, ye children of Reuven and children of Gad; ye have no part in Yahweh: so shall your children make our children cease from fearing Yahweh. |
|
22:26
Therefore we said,°°
Let us now°
prepare°°
to build°°
us°
an altar,°
not°
for burnt°
offering,°
nor°
for sacrifice:° |

Therefore we said, Let us now prepare to build us an altar, not for burnt offering, nor for sacrifice: |
|
22:27
But°
[that] it°
[may be] a witness°
between°
us, and you, and our generations°
after°
us, that we might do°°°
the service°
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
before°
him with our burnt offerings,°
and with our sacrifices,°
and with our peace offerings;°
that your children°
may not°
say°°
to our children°
in time to come,°
Ye have no°
part°
in
Yähwè
יָהוֶה.° |

22:27
But [that] it [may be] a witness between us, and you, and our generations after us, that we might do the service of Yahweh before him with our burnt offerings, and with our sacrifices, and with our peace offerings; that your children may not say to our children in time to come, Ye have no part in Yahweh. |

22:28
Therefore said°°
we, that it shall be,°
when°
they should [so] say°°

us or to°
our generations°
in time to come,°
that we may say°°
[again], Behold°°°
the pattern°
of the altar°

יָהוֶה,°
which°
our fathers°

Therefore said we, that it shall be, when they should [so] say to us or to our generations in time to come, that we may say [again], Behold the pattern of the altar of Yahweh, which our fathers made, not for burnt offerings, nor for sacrifices; but it [is] a witness between us and you. |

God forbid that we should rebel against Yahweh, and turn this day from following Yahweh, to build an altar for burnt offerings, for meat offerings, or for sacrifices, beside the altar of Yahweh our Elohim that [is] before his tabernacle. |

22:30 ¶
And when

And when Pinchas the priest, and the princes of the congregation and heads of the thousands of Yisrael which [were] with him, heard the words that the children of Reuven and the children of Gad and the children of Menashsheh spake, it pleased them. |

And the thing°

and the children°

Yiŝrä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל°

אֱלֹהִים,°
and did not°
intend°°
to go up°°
against°
them in battle,°
to destroy°°°
the land°
wherein°
the children°
of
Ræ´ûvën
רְאוּבֵן°

גָּד°
dwelt.°° |

And the thing pleased the children of Yisrael; and the children of Yisrael blessed Elohim, and did not intend to go up against them in battle, to destroy the land wherein the children of Reuven and Gad dwelt. |

22:34
And the children°

רְאוּבֵן°
and the children°
of
Gäđ
גָּד°
called°°
the altar°
[`Ëđ
עֵד]: for°
it°
[shall be] a witness°
between°
us that°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
[is]
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים.° |

And the children of Reuven and the children of Gad called the altar [Ed]: for it [shall be] a witness between us that Yahweh [is] Elohim. |
