Yæzanyà
יְזַניָה°
the son°
of
Hôša`yà
הוֹשַׁעיָה,°
and all°
the people°
from the least°°
even unto°
the greatest,°
came near,°° |

42:1 ¶
Then all the captains of the forces, and Yochanan the son of Qareach, and Yezanyah the son of Hoshayah, and all the people from the least even unto the greatest, came near, |

42:2
And said°°
unto°
Yirmæyà
יִרמְיָה°
the prophet,°
Let, we beseech thee,°
our supplication°
be accepted°°
before°
thee, and pray°°
for°
us unto°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
thy
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים,°
[even] for°
all°
this°
remnant;°
(for°
we are left°°
[but] a few°
of many,°°°
as°
thine eyes°
do behold°°
us:) |

And said unto Yirmeyah the prophet, Let, we beseech thee, our supplication be accepted before thee, and pray for us unto Yahweh thy Elohim, [even] for all this remnant; (for we are left [but] a few of many, as thine eyes do behold us:) |

the way°
wherein°
we may walk,°°°
and the thing°
that°
we may do.°° |

That Yahweh thy Elohim may shew us the way wherein we may walk, and the thing that we may do. |

Then

יִרמְיָה°
the prophet°
said°°
unto°
them, I have heard°°
[you]; behold,°
I will pray°°
unto°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
your
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים°
according to your words;°
and it shall come to pass,°
[that] whatsoever°°
thing°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
shall answer°°
you, I will declare°°
[it] unto you; I will keep°°
nothing°
back°°°°
from°
you. |

Then Yirmeyah the prophet said unto them, I have heard [you]; behold, I will pray unto Yahweh your Elohim according to your words; and it shall come to pass, [that] whatsoever thing Yahweh shall answer you, I will declare [it] unto you; I will keep nothing back from you. |

a true°
and faithful°°
witness°
between us, if°
we do°°
not°
even°
according to all°
things°
for the which°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°

´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים°
shall send°°
thee to°
us. |

Then they said to Yirmeyah, Yahweh be a true and faithful witness between us, if we do not even according to all things for the which Yahweh thy Elohim shall send thee to us. |

Whether°
[it be] good,°
or whether°
[it be] evil,°
we will obey°°
the voice°
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
our
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים,°
to whom°
we°
send°°
thee; that°°
it may be well°°
with us, when°
we obey°°
the voice°
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
our
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים.° |

42:6
Whether [it be] good, or whether [it be] evil, we will obey the voice of Yahweh our Elohim, to whom we send thee; that it may be well with us, when we obey the voice of Yahweh our Elohim. |

42:7 ¶
And it came to pass°
after°°
ten°
days,°
that the word°
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
came°
unto°
Yirmæyà
יִרמְיָה.° |

42:7 ¶
And it came to pass after ten days, that the word of Yahweh came unto Yirmeyah. |

Then called°°°
he

the son°

קָרֵחַ,°
and all°
the captains°
of the forces°
which°
[were] with°
him, and all°
the people°
from the least°°
even to°
the greatest,° |

Then called he Yochanan the son of Qareach, and all the captains of the forces which [were] with him, and all the people from the least even to the greatest, |

And said°°
unto°
them, Thus°
saith°°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה,°
the
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים°
of
Yiŝrä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל,°
unto°
whom°
ye sent°°
me to present°°
your supplication°
before°
him; |

42:9
And said unto them, Thus saith Yahweh, the Elohim of Yisrael, unto whom ye sent me to present your supplication before him; |
|
42:10
If°
ye will still°°
abide°°°
in this°
land,°
then will I build°°
you, and not°
pull [you] down,°°
and I will plant°°
you, and not°
pluck [you] up:°°
for°
I repent°°
me of°
the evil°
that°
I have done°°
unto you. |
|
42:10
If ye will still abide in this land, then will I build you, and not pull [you] down, and I will plant you, and not pluck [you] up: for I repent me of the evil that I have done unto you. |

42:11
Be not°
afraid°°
of°°
the king°
of
Bävel
בָּבֶל,°
of whom°°
ye°
are afraid;°°°°
be not°
afraid°°
of°
him, saith°°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה:°
for°
I°
[am] with°
you to save°°
you, and to deliver°°
you from his hand.°° |

42:11
Be not afraid of the king of Bavel, of whom ye are afraid; be not afraid of him, saith Yahweh: for I [am] with you to save you, and to deliver you from his hand. |
|
42:12
And I will shew°°
mercies°
unto you, that he may have mercy°°
upon°
you, and cause you to return°°°
to°
your own land.° |

And I will shew mercies unto you, that he may have mercy upon you, and cause you to return to your own land. |
|
42:13 ¶
But if°
ye°
say,°°
We will not°
dwell°°
in this°
land,°
neither°
obey°°
the voice°
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
your
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים,° |
|
42:13 ¶
But if ye say, We will not dwell in this land, neither obey the voice of Yahweh your Elohim, |
|
42:14
Saying,°°
No;°
but°
we will go°°
into the land°
of
Mixrayim
מִצרַיִם,°
where°
we shall see°°
no°
war,°
nor°
hear°°
the sound°
of the trumpet,°
nor°
have hunger°°
of bread;°
and there°
will we dwell:°° |

Saying, No; but we will go into the land of Mitzrayim, where we shall see no war, nor hear the sound of the trumpet, nor have hunger of bread; and there will we dwell: |

And now°
therefore°
hear°°
the word°
of

ye remnant°

Yæhûđà
יְהוּדָה;°
Thus°
saith°°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
Xævä´ôŧ
צְבָאוֹת,°
the
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים°

Yiŝrä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל;°
If°
ye°
wholly°°
set°°
your faces°
to enter°°
into°
Mixrayim
מִצרַיִם,°
and go°°
to sojourn°°
there;° |

And now therefore hear the word of Yahweh, ye remnant of Yehudah; Thus saith Yahweh Tzevaoth, the Elohim of Yisrael; If ye wholly set your faces to enter into Mitzrayim, and go to sojourn there; |
|
42:16
Then it shall come to pass,°
[that] the sword,°
which°
ye°
feared,°°
shall overtake°°
you there°
in the land°
of
Mixrayim
מִצרַיִם,°
and the famine,°
whereof°
ye°
were afraid,°°°
shall follow close°°
after°
you there°
in
Mixrayim
מִצרַיִם;°
and there°
ye shall die.°° |

Then it shall come to pass, [that] the sword, which ye feared, shall overtake you there in the land of Mitzrayim, and the famine, whereof ye were afraid, shall follow close after you there in Mitzrayim; and there ye shall die. |

42:17
So shall it be°
with all°
the men°°
that°
set°°°
their faces°
to go°°
into°
Mixrayim
מִצרַיִם°
to sojourn°°
there;°
they shall die°°
by the sword,°
by the famine,°
and by the pestilence:°
and none°
of them shall°
remain°
or escape°
from°°
the evil°
that°
I°
will bring°°
upon°
them. |

So shall it be with all the men that set their faces to go into Mitzrayim to sojourn there; they shall die by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence: and none of them shall remain or escape from the evil that I will bring upon them. |

42:18
For°
thus°

יָהוֶה°
Xævä´ôŧ
צְבָאוֹת,°
the
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים°
of
Yiŝrä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵל;°
As°
mine anger°
and my fury°
hath been poured forth°°
upon°
the inhabitants°°
of
Yærûšälaim
יְרוּשָׁלִַם;°
so°
shall my fury°
be poured forth°°
upon°
you, when ye shall°
enter°°
into°
Mixrayim
מִצרַיִם:°
and ye shall be an execration,°
and an astonishment,°
and a curse,°
and a reproach;°
and ye shall see°°°
this°
place°
no°
more.° |

For thus saith Yahweh Tzevaoth, the Elohim of Yisrael; As mine anger and my fury hath been poured forth upon the inhabitants of Yerushalaim; so shall my fury be poured forth upon you, when ye shall enter into Mitzrayim: and ye shall be an execration, and an astonishment, and a curse, and a reproach; and ye shall see this place no more. |

Yahweh hath said concerning you, O ye remnant of Yehudah; Go ye not into Mitzrayim: know certainly that I have admonished you this day. |

in your hearts,°

sent°°

יָהוֶה°
your
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים,°
saying,°°
Pray°°
for°
us unto°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
our
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים;°
and according unto all°
that°
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
our
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים°
shall say,°°
so°
declare°°
unto us, and we will do°°
[it]. |

For ye dissembled in your hearts, when ye sent me unto Yahweh your Elohim, saying, Pray for us unto Yahweh our Elohim; and according unto all that Yahweh our Elohim shall say, so declare unto us, and we will do [it]. |

And [now] I have this day°
declared°°
[it] to you; but ye have not°
obeyed°°
the voice°
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה°
your
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִים,°
nor any°
[thing] for the which°
he hath sent°°
me unto°
you. |

42:21
And [now] I have this day declared [it] to you; but ye have not obeyed the voice of Yahweh your Elohim, nor any [thing] for the which he hath sent me unto you. |
|
42:22
Now°
therefore know°°
certainly°°
that°
ye shall die°°
by the sword,°
by the famine,°
and by the pestilence,°
in the place°
whither°°
ye desire°°
to go°°
[and] to sojourn.°° |

Now therefore know certainly that ye shall die by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence, in the place whither ye desire to go [and] to sojourn. |
