Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! saith Yahweh. |

Thereforeº
thusº
saithºº
Yähwè
יָהוֶהº
´Élöhîm
אֱלֹהִיםº
of
Yi$rä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵלº
againstº
the pastorsºº
that feedººº
my people;º
Yeº
have scatteredººº
my flock,º
and driven them away,ºº
and have notº
visitedºº
them: behold,º
I will visitºº
uponº
youº
the evilº
of your doings,º
saithºº
Yähwè
יָהוֶה.º |

Therefore thus saith Yahweh Elohim of Yisrael against the pastors that feed my people; Ye have scattered my flock, and driven them away, and have not visited them: behold, I will visit upon you the evil of your doings, saith Yahweh. |

And Iº
will gatherººº
the remnantº
of my flockº
out of allºº
countriesº
whitherºº
I have drivenºº
them, and will bring them againººº
toº
their folds;º
and they shall be fruitfulºº
and increase.ºº |

23:3
And I will gather the remnant of my flock out of all countries whither I have driven them, and will bring them again to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and increase. |

23:4
And I will set upºº
shepherdsºº
overº
them which shall feedºº
them: and they shall fearºº
noº
more,º
norº
be dismayed,ºº
neitherº
shall they be lacking,ºº
saithºº

יָהוֶה.º |

23:4
And I will set up shepherds over them which shall feed them: and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, neither shall they be lacking, saith Yahweh. |
|
23:5 ¶
Behold,º
the daysº
come,ºº
saithºº
Yähwè
יָהוֶה,º
that I will raiseºº
unto
Däwið
דָּוִדº
a righteousº
Branch,º
and a Kingº
shall reignºº
and prosper,ºº
and shall executeºº
judgmentº
and justiceº
in the earth.º |

23:5 ¶
Behold, the days come, saith Yahweh, that I will raise unto Dawid a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth. |
|
23:6
In his daysº

shall be saved,ºº
and
Yi$rä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵלº
shall dwellºº
safely:º
and thisº
[is] his nameº
wherebyº
he shall be called,ºº
YÄHWÈ
יָהוֶהº
XIÐKËNÛ
צִדקֵנוּ.ºº |

In his days Yehudah shall be saved, and Yisrael shall dwell safely: and this [is] his name whereby he shall be called, YAHWEH TZIDQENU. |

Therefore,º
behold,º
the daysº
come,ºº
saithºº
Yähwè
יָהוֶה,º
that they shall noº
moreº
say,ºº
Yähwè
יָהוֶהº
liveth,º
whichº
brought upººº
the childrenº
of
Yi$rä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵלº
out of the landºº
of
Mixrayim
מִצרַיִם;º |

Therefore, behold, the days come, saith Yahweh, that they shall no more say, Yahweh liveth, which brought up the children of Yisrael out of the land of Mitzrayim; |

But,ºº

יָהוֶהº
liveth,º
whichº
brought upºº
and whichº
ledººº
the seedº
of the houseº
of
Yi$rä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵלº
out of the northº
country,ºº
and from allºº
countriesº
whitherºº
I had drivenºº
them; and they shall dwellºº
inº
their own land.º |

But, Yahweh liveth, which brought up and which led the seed of the house of Yisrael out of the north country, and from all countries whither I had driven them; and they shall dwell in their own land. |
|
23:9 ¶
Mine heartº
withinº
me is brokenºº
because of the prophets;º
allº
my bonesº
shake;ºº
I amº
like a drunkenº
man,º
and like a manº
whom wineº
hath overcome,ºº
becauseºº
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה,º
and becauseºº
of the wordsº
of his holiness.º |

23:9 ¶
Mine heart within me is broken because of the prophets; all my bones shake; I am like a drunken man, and like a man whom wine hath overcome, because of Yahweh, and because of the words of his holiness. |
|
23:10
Forº
the landº
is fullºº
of adulterers;ºº
forº
becauseºº
of swearingº
the landº
mourneth;ºº
the pleasant placesº
of the wildernessº
are dried up,ºº
and their courseº
isº
evil,º
and their forceº
[is] notº
right.º |

23:10
For the land is full of adulterers; for because of swearing the land mourneth; the pleasant places of the wilderness are dried up, and their course is evil, and their force [is] not right. |
|
23:11
Forº
bothº
prophetº
andº
priestº
are profane;ºº
yea,º
in my houseº
have I foundºº
their wickedness,º
saithºº
Yähwè
יָהוֶה.º |
|
23:11
For both prophet and priest are profane; yea, in my house have I found their wickedness, saith Yahweh. |
|
23:12
Whereforeº
their wayº
shall beº
unto them as slipperyº
[ways] in the darkness:º
they shall be driven on,ºº
and fallºº
therein: forº
I will bringºº
evilº
uponº
them, [even] the yearº
of their visitation,º
saithºº
Yähwè
יָהוֶה.º |

Wherefore their way shall be unto them as slippery [ways] in the darkness: they shall be driven on, and fall therein: for I will bring evil upon them, [even] the year of their visitation, saith Yahweh. |
|
23:13
And I have seenºº
follyº
in the prophetsº
of
Šömrôn
שֹׁמרוֹן;º
they prophesiedºº
in
Bä`al
בָּעַל,º
and causedº
my peopleºº
Yi$rä´ël
יִשׂרָאֵלº
to err.ºº |

23:13
And I have seen folly in the prophets of Shomron; they prophesied in Baal, and caused my people Yisrael to err. |
|
23:14
I have seenºº
also in the prophetsº
of
Yærûšälaim
יְרוּשָׁלִַםº
an horrible thing:º
they commit adultery,ºº
and walkºº
in lies:º
they strengthenºº
also the handsº
of evildoers,ºº
that noneºº
doth returnºº
from his wickedness:ºº
they areº
allº
of them unto me as
Sæðöm
סְדֹם,º
and the inhabitantsºº
thereof as
`Ámörà
עֲמֹרָה.º |

I have seen also in the prophets of Yerushalaim an horrible thing: they commit adultery, and walk in lies: they strengthen also the hands of evildoers, that none doth return from his wickedness: they are all of them unto me as Sedom, and the inhabitants thereof as Amorah. |

concerningº
the prophets;º
Behold,º
I will feedºº
them with wormwood,º
and make them drinkºº
the waterº
of gall:º
forº
fromºº
the prophetsº

Yærûšälaim
יְרוּשָׁלִַםº
is profanenessº
gone forthºº
into allº
the land.º |

Therefore thus saith Yahweh Tzevaoth concerning the prophets; Behold, I will feed them with wormwood, and make them drink the water of gall: for from the prophets of Yerushalaim is profaneness gone forth into all the land. |

Hearkenºº

the wordsº
of the prophetsº
that prophesyºº
unto you: they make you vain:ººº
theyº
speakºº
a visionº
of their own heart,º
[and] notº
out of the mouthºº
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה.º |

23:16
Thus saith Yahweh Tzevaoth, Hearken not unto the words of the prophets that prophesy unto you: they make you vain: they speak a vision of their own heart, [and] not out of the mouth of Yahweh. |

They sayºº
stillºº
unto them that despiseºº
me,
Yähwè
יָהוֶהº
hath said,ºº
Ye shall haveº
peace;º
and they sayºº
unto every oneº
that walkethºº
after the imaginationº
of his own heart,º
Noº
evilº
shall comeºº
uponº
you. |

They say still unto them that despise me, Yahweh hath said, Ye shall have peace; and they say unto every one that walketh after the imagination of his own heart, No evil shall come upon you. |
|
23:18
Forº
whoº
hath stoodºº
in the counselº
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה,º
and hath perceivedºº
and heardººº
his word?º
whoº
hath markedºº
his word,º
and heardºº
[it]? |
|
23:18
For who hath stood in the counsel of Yahweh, and hath perceived and heard his word? who hath marked his word, and heard [it]? |
|
23:19
Behold,º
a whirlwindº
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶהº
is gone forthºº
in fury,º
even a grievousºº
whirlwind:º
it shall fall grievouslyºº
uponº
the headº
of the wicked.º |
|
23:19
Behold, a whirlwind of Yahweh is gone forth in fury, even a grievous whirlwind: it shall fall grievously upon the head of the wicked. |
|
23:20
The angerº
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶהº
shall notº
return,ºº
untilº
he have executed,ºº
and tillº
he have performedºº
the thoughtsº
of his heart:º
in the latterº
daysº
ye shall considerºº
it perfectly.º |
|
23:20
The anger of Yahweh shall not return, until he have executed, and till he have performed the thoughts of his heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it perfectly. |
|
23:21
I have notº
sentººº
these prophets,º
yet theyº
ran:ºº
I have notº
spokenºº
toº
them, yet theyº
prophesied.ºº |
|
23:21
I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran: I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied. |
|
23:22
But ifº
they had stoodºº
in my counsel,º
and had causedº
my peopleº
to hearºº
my words,º
then they should have turnedºº
them from their evilº
way,ºº
and from the evilºº
of their doings.º |

But if they had stood in my counsel, and had caused my people to hear my words, then they should have turned them from their evil way, and from the evil of their doings. |

afar off?ºº |

[Am] I an Elohim at hand, saith Yahweh, and not an Elohim afar off? |

Canº
anyº
hideºº
himselfº
in secret placesº
that Iº
shall notº
seeºº
him? saithºº

יָהוֶה.º
Do notº
Iº
fillººº
heavenº
and earth?º
saithºº
Yähwè
יָהוֶה.º |

Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith Yahweh. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith Yahweh. |

I have heardººº
whatº
the prophetsº
said,ºº
that prophesyºº
liesº
in my name,º
saying,ºº
I have dreamed,ºº
I have dreamed.ºº |

I have heard what the prophets said, that prophesy lies in my name, saying, I have dreamed, I have dreamed. |
|
23:26
How longºº
shall [this] beº
in the heartº
of the prophetsº
that prophesyºº
lies?º
yea, [they are] prophetsº
of the deceitº
of their own heart;º |

23:26
How long shall [this] be in the heart of the prophets that prophesy lies? yea, [they are] prophets of the deceit of their own heart; |
|
23:27
Which thinkºº
to causeº
my peopleº
to forgetºº
my nameº
by their dreamsº
whichº
they tellºº
every manº
to his neighbour,º
asº
their fathersº
have forgottenººº
my nameº
for
Bä`al
בָּעַל.º |

Which think to cause my people to forget my name by their dreams which they tell every man to his neighbour, as their fathers have forgotten my name for Baal. |

The prophetº
thatºº
hath a dream,º
let him tellºº
a dream;º
and he thatºº
hath my word,º
let him speakºº
my wordº
faithfully.º
Whatº
[is] the chaffº
toº
the wheat?º
saithºº
Yähwè
יָהוֶה.º |

The prophet that hath a dream, let him tell a dream; and he that hath my word, let him speak my word faithfully. What [is] the chaff to the wheat? saith Yahweh. |

[Is] notº
my wordº
likeº
as a fire?º
saithºº
Yähwè
יָהוֶה;º
and like a hammerº
[that] breakethºº
the rockº
in pieces?ºº |

23:29
[Is] not my word like as a fire? saith Yahweh; and like a hammer [that] breaketh the rock in pieces? |

Therefore,º
behold,º
I [am] againstº
the prophets,º
saithºº
Yähwè
יָהוֶה,º
that stealºº
my wordsº
every oneº
fromºº
his neighbour.º |

23:30
Therefore, behold, I [am] against the prophets, saith Yahweh, that steal my words every one from his neighbour. |
|
23:31
Behold,º
I [am] againstº
the prophets,º
saithºº
Yähwè
יָהוֶה,º
that useºº
their tongues,º
and say,ºº
He saith.ºº |

Behold, I [am] against the prophets, saith Yahweh, that use their tongues, and say, He saith. |

Behold,º
I [am] againstº
them that prophesyºº
falseº
dreams,º
saithºº
Yähwè
יָהוֶה,º
and do tellºº
them, and causeº
my peopleº
to errºº
by their lies,º
and by their lightness;º
yet Iº
sentºº
them not,º
norº
commandedºº
them: therefore they shall notº
profitºº
this peopleº
at all,ºººº

Yähwè
יָהוֶה.º |

Behold, I [am] against them that prophesy false dreams, saith Yahweh, and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies, and by their lightness; yet I sent them not, nor commanded them: therefore they shall not profit this people at all, saith Yahweh. |

23:33 ¶
And whenº
thisº
people,º
orº
the prophet,º
orº
a priest,º
shall askºº
thee, saying,ºº
Whatº
[is] the burdenº
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה?º
thou shalt then sayºº
untoº
them,º
Whatº
burden?º
I will even forsakeºº
you, saithºº
Yähwè
יָהוֶה.º |

23:33 ¶
And when this people, or the prophet, or a priest, shall ask thee, saying, What [is] the burden of Yahweh? thou shalt then say unto them, What burden? I will even forsake you, saith Yahweh. |

And [as for] the prophet,º
and the priest,º
and the people,º
thatº
shall say,ºº
The burdenº
of
Yähwè
יָהוֶה,º
I will even punishººº
thatº
manº
and his house.º |
|
23:34
And [as for] the prophet, and the priest, and the people, that shall say, The burden of Yahweh, I will even punish that man and his house. |

Thusº
shall ye sayºº
every oneº

his neighbour,º
and every oneº
toº
his brother,º
Whatº
hath

answered?ºº
and, Whatº
hath

Thus shall ye say every one to his neighbour, and every one to his brother, What hath Yahweh answered? and, What hath Yahweh spoken? |

his burden;º

And the burden of Yahweh shall ye mention no more: for every man's word shall be his burden; for ye have perverted the words of the living Elohim, of Yahweh Tzevaoth our Elohim. |

But since ye say, The burden of Yahweh; therefore thus saith Yahweh; Because ye say this word, The burden of Yahweh, and I have sent unto you, saying, Ye shall not say, The burden of Yahweh; |

behold,º
I, even I, will utterlyºº
forgetºº
you, and I will forsakeºº
you, and the cityº
thatº
I gaveºº
you and your fathers,º
[and cast you] out ofºº
my presence:º |

Therefore, behold, I, even I, will utterly forget you, and I will forsake you, and the city that I gave you and your fathers, [and cast you] out of my presence: |

And I will bringºº
an everlastingº
reproachº
uponº
you, and a perpetualº
shame,º
whichº
shall notº
be forgotten.ºº |

And I will bring an everlasting reproach upon you, and a perpetual shame, which shall not be forgotten. |
