 15:1 ¶ And the borders of the tribe of Judah{gr.Juda} according to their families were from the borders of Edom{gr.Idumea} from the wilderness of sin, as far as Kadesh{gr.Cades} southward.

 15:1 ¶ [This] then wasº the lotº of the tribeº of the childrenº of Judahº by their families;º [even] toº the borderº of Edomº the wildernessº of Zinº southwardº [was] the uttermost partºº of the south coast.º

 15:2 And their borders were from the south as far as a part of the salt sea from the high country that extends southward.

 15:2 And their southº borderº wasº from the shoreºº of the saltº sea,º fromº the bayº that lookethºº southward:º

 15:3 And they proceed before the ascent of Acrabin, and go out round Sena, and go up from the south to Kadesh{gr.Cades} Barnea{gr.Barne}; and go out to Asoron, and proceed up to Sarada, and go out by the way that is west of Kadesh{gr.Cades}.

 15:3 And it went outºº toº the south sideºº to Maalehacrabbim,º and passedºº alongº to Zin,º and ascended upºº on the south sideºº unto Kadeshbarnea,º and passedºº alongº to Hezron,º and went upºº to Adar,º and fetched a compassºº to Karkaa:º

 15:4 And they go out to Selmona, and issue at the valley of Mizraim{gr.Egypt}; and the termination of its boundaries shall be at the sea: these are their boundaries southward.

 15:4 [From thence] it passedºº towardº Azmon,º and went outºº unto the riverº of Egypt;º and the goings outº of that coastº wereº at the sea:º thisº shall beº your southº coast.º

 15:5 And their boundaries eastward [are] all the salt sea as far as Jordan; and their borders from the north, and from the border of the sea, and from part of Jordan--

 15:5 And the eastº borderº [was] the saltº sea,º [even] untoº the endº of Jordan.º And [their] borderº in the northº quarterº [was] from the bayºº of the seaº at the uttermost partºº of Jordan:º

 15:6 the borders go up to Baethaglaam, and they go along from the north to Baetharaba, and the borders go on up to the stone of Baeon the son of Reuben{gr.Ruben}.

 15:6 And the borderº went upºº to Bethhogla,º and passedºº alongº by the northºº of Betharabah;º and the borderº went upºº to the stoneº of Bohanº the sonº of Reuben:º

 15:7 And the borders continue on to the fourth part of the valley of Achor, and go down to Gilgal{gr.Galgal}, which is before the approach of Adammin, which is southward in the valley, and terminate at the water of the fountain of the sun; and their going forth shall be the fountain of Rogel.

 15:7 And the borderº went upºº toward Debirº from the valleyºº of Achor,º and so northward,º lookingºº towardº Gilgal,º thatº [is] beforeº the going upº to Adummim,º whichº [is] on the south sideºº of the river:º and the borderº passedºº towardº the watersº of Enshemesh,º and the goings outº thereof wereº atº Enrogel:º

 15:8 And the borders go up to the valley of Hinnom{gr.Ennom}, behind Jebus southward; this is Jerusalem: and the borders terminate at the top of the mountain, which is before the valley of Hinnom{gr.Ennom} toward the sea, which is by the side of the land of giants{gr.Raphain} northward.

 15:8 And the borderº went upºº by the valleyº of the sonº of Hinnomº untoº the southºº sideº of the Jebusite;º the sameº [is] Jerusalem:º and the borderº went upºº toº the topº of the mountainº thatº [lieth] beforeºº the valleyº of Hinnomº westward,º whichº [is] at the endº of the valleyº of the giantsº northward:º

 15:9 And the border [going forth] from the top of the mountain terminates at the fountain of the water of Naphtho, and terminates at mount Ephron; and the border will lead to Baal; this is the city of Jarim.

 15:9 And the borderº was drawnºº from the topºº of the hillº untoº the fountainº of the waterº of Nephtoah,º and went outºº toº the citiesº of mountº Ephron;º and the borderº was drawnºº to Baalah,º whichº [is] Kirjathjearim:º

 15:10 And the border will go round from Baal to the sea, and will go on to the mount of Assar behind the city of Jarin northwards; this is Chaslon: and it will come down to the city of Sun, and will go on to the south.

 15:10 And the borderº compassedºº from Baalahºº westwardº untoº mountº Seir,º and passedºº alongº untoº the sideº of mountº Jearim,º whichº [is] Chesalon,º on the north side,ºº and went downºº to Bethshemesh,º and passed onºº to Timnah:º

 15:11 And the border terminates behind Ekron{gr.Accaron} northward, and the borders will terminate at Succoth{gr.Socchoth}, and the borders will go on to the south, and will terminate at Libnah{gr.Lebna}, and the issue of the borders will be at the sea; and their borders [shall be] toward the sea, the great sea shall be the boundary.

 15:11 And the borderº went outºº untoº the sideº of Ekronº northward:º and the borderº was drawnºº to Shicron,º and passed alongºº to mountº Baalah,º and went outºº unto Jabneel;º and the goings outº of the borderº wereº at the sea.º

 15:12 These [are] the borders of the children of Judah{gr.Juda} round about according to their families.

 15:12 And the westº borderº [was] to the greatº sea,º and the coastº [thereof]. Thisº [is] the coastº of the childrenº of Judahº round aboutº according to their families.º

 15:13 ¶ And to Caleb{gr.Chaleb} the son of Jephunneh{gr.Jephone} he gave a portion in the midst of the children of Judah{gr.Juda} by the command of God; and Joshua{gr.Jesus} gave him the city of Arboc the metropolis of Anak{gr.Enac}; this is Hebron{gr.Chebron}.

 15:13 ¶ And unto Calebº the sonº of Jephunnehº he gaveºº a partº amongº the childrenº of Judah,º accordingº to the commandmentº of Yahwehº to Joshua,º [even]º the cityº of Arbaººº the fatherº of Anak,º whichº [city is] Hebron.º

 15:14 And Caleb{gr.Chaleb} the son of Jephunneh{gr.Jephone} destroyed thence the three sons of Anak{gr.Enac}, Susi, and Talami{gr.Tholami}, and Achima.

 15:14 And Calebº droveºº thenceººº the threeº sonsº of Anak,ºº Sheshai,º and Ahiman,º and Talmai,º the childrenº of Anak.º

 15:15 And Caleb{gr.Chaleb} went up thence to the inhabitants of Debir{gr.Dabir}; and the name of Debir{gr.Dabir} before was the city of Letters.

 15:15 And he went upºº thenceºº toº the inhabitantsºº of Debir:º and the nameº of Debirº beforeº [was] Kirjathsepher.º

 15:16 ¶ And Caleb{gr.Chaleb} said, Whosoever shall take and destroy the city of Letters, and master it, to him will I give my daughter Achsah{gr.Ascha} to wife.

 15:16 ¶ And Calebº said,ºº He thatº smitethººº Kirjathsepher,º and takethºº it, to him will I giveººº Achsahº my daughterº to wife.º

 15:17 And Othniel{gr.Gothoniel} the son of Chenez the brother of Caleb{gr.Chaleb} took it; and he gave him Achsah{gr.Ascha} his daughter to wife.

 15:17 And Othnielº the sonº of Kenaz,º the brotherº of Caleb,º tookºº it: and he gaveºº himº Achsahº his daughterº to wife.º

 15:18 And it came to pass as she went out that she counselled him, saying, I will ask of my father a field; and she cried from off her ass; and Caleb{gr.Chaleb} said to her, What is it?

 15:18 And it came to pass,º as she cameºº [unto him], that she movedºº him to askºº ofºº her fatherº a field:º and she lightedº offºººº [her] ass;º and Calebº saidºº unto her, Whatº wouldest thou?

 15:19 And she said to him, Give me a blessing, for thou hast set me in the land of Nageb; give me Botthanis: and he gave her Gonaethla the upper, and Gonaethla the lower.

 15:19 Who answered,ºº Giveºº me a blessing;º forº thou hast givenºº me a southº land;º giveºº me also springsº of water.º And he gaveºº herº the upperº springs,º and the netherº springs.º

 15:20 This [is] the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Judah{gr.Juda}.

 15:20 Thisº [is] the inheritanceº of the tribeº of the childrenº of Judahº according to their families.º

 15:21 And their cities were cities belonging to the tribe of the children of Judah{gr.Juda} on the borders of Edom by the wilderness, and Baeseleel, and Ara, and Hazor{gr.Asor},

 15:21 And the uttermostºº citiesº of the tribeº of the childrenº of Judahº towardº the coastº of Edomº southwardº wereº Kabzeel,º and Eder,º and Jagur,º

 15:22 and Icam, and Regma, and Aruel,

 15:22 And Kinah,º and Dimonah,º and Adadah,º

 15:23 and Kadesh{gr.Cades}, and Asorionain, and Maenam,

 15:23 And Kedesh,º and Hazor,º and Ithnan,º

 15:24 and Balmaenan, and their villages,

 15:24 Ziph,º and Telem,º and Bealoth,º

 15:25 and the cities of Aseron, this [is] Hazor{gr.Asor},

 15:25 And Hazor,º Hadattah,º and Kerioth,º [and] Hezron,º whichº [is] Hazor,º

 15:26 and Sen, and Salmaa, and Molada,

 15:46 from Ekron{gr.Accaron}, Gemna, and all the cities that are near Ashdod{gr.Asedoth}; and their villages.

 15:46 From Ekronºº even unto the sea,º allº thatº [lay] nearºº Ashdod,º with their villages:º

 15:47 Ashdod{gr.Asiedoth}, and her villages, and her hamlets; Gaza, and its villages and its hamlets as far as the river of Mizraim{gr.Egypt}, and the great sea is the boundary.

 15:47 Ashdodº with her townsº and her villages,º Gazaº with her townsº and her villages,º untoº the riverº of Egypt,º and the greatººº sea,º and the borderº [thereof]:

 15:48 ¶ And in the hill country Samir, and Jether, and Socha,

 15:49 and Renna and the city of Letters, this [is] Debir{gr.Dabir};

 15:49 And Dannah,º and Kirjathsannah,º whichº [is] Debir,º

 15:60 Cariathbaal, this [is] the city of Jarim, and Sotheba: two cities, and their villages:

 15:60 Kirjathbaal,º whichº [is] Kirjathjearim,º and Rabbah;º twoº citiesº with their villages:º

 15:61 and Baddargeis, and Tharabaam, and Aenon;

 15:61 In the wilderness,º Betharabah,º Middin,º and Secacah,º

 15:62 and Aeochioza, and Naphlazon, and the cities of Sadon, and Ancades; seven cities, and their villages.

 15:62 And Nibshan,º and the cityº of Salt,º and Engedi;º sixº citiesº with their villages.º

 15:63 ¶ And the Jebusite dwelt in Jerusalem, and the children of Judah{gr.Juda} could not destroy them; and the Jebusites dwelt in Jerusalem to this day.

 15:63 ¶ As for the Jebusitesº the inhabitantsºº of Jerusalem,º the childrenº of Judahº couldºººº notº drive them out:ºº but the Jebusitesº dwellºº withº the childrenº of Judahº at Jerusalemº untoº thisº day.º
